Jaylen stop in front of them.
“Hey, Jenny…
How are you feeling now??’

The whole class gasped hearing his voice again after a long time.
“Please, we are not siting on your seat, can you let us be??’
Mave asked.
Jaylen look at mave and smile.
“You must be his boyfriend”
He asked.
Have seen you two a couple of times together”
Jenny and mave look at each other.
Mave nodded his head left and right in disagreement.
“Yes, we are… And what are you going to do about it??
Jenny stood up and lock glares at him.
The whole class keep watching.

Jenny asked.

Mave and Jenny watch him walk away.. he later stopped and look back at Jenny.
“There is still one thing I don’t understand why you did a change of name??”
He said before walking out of sight.

Mave asked.

Jenny said as he watch jaylen walk back to his seat.
The lecturer came in and everyone find their pace settling down in their respective seat.
“Good morning, law students… I don’t think there is need to remind you all this a professional class and you have to take your C.A lightly if you want to avoid C.O.
Well, the time is here”
Everyone groans…
“Not again, another group project”
Someone muttered but some students already hear him.
“I guess you’ve a carry over in this course before”
A student asked.
“Yes, this project is always hard and thats what make me fail”
“Well, am so sorry,,, maybe you can find an alternative”
“What do you mean??
I should quit law”??
The student replied by shrugging his shoulders.
“You all should login to your school account and know your respective partners”
The lecturer said.
“Find a court case, discuss about them in the legal clinic and produce the solutions that resolve those cases”
Deadline in two weeks”
He added before walking out.

Mave and Jenny walk out of the auditorium..
“I wish we are partners for this assignment,,,”
Mave said sadly.
“Are you underestimating yourself, check your school account first??”
We might be project partners”
“If that happens, I would accept fate want us together”
“It’s just a coincidence, nothing like fate and to clear the air, you are not my boyfriend”
Jenny replied.

Haven’t seen you with any guy apart from myself”
“No one,,, that’s not my main aim here in college”

Maybe we should take your dad’s case, it might help find something and at the same time, solve our assignment”

Mave replied and saw Jenny staring at something.
Mave trace her eyes direction.
Jenny was staring at jaylen and Noah chatting happily under the shades.
“What are you staring at??”
Mave asked.
“Am surprised, he has a friend, I thought he was the lonely type”
Mave also looked at him.
“Yeah, people say he doesn’t talk much in a conversation but did all because of you”
Jenny looked at mave weirdly.
“Please, I need to get back to my dorm”
She said and walk away…

Mave quickly follow behind her.

Jenny drank all the water content in the bottle water and place it on the table before collapsing on the bed beside mave.
“Have you check yet??
Jenny asked.

Mave replied with all his focus on his phone.
Jenny took her phone to check hers…
“Oh gosh,,,
Mave muttered and keep a sad face.
“It’s not you…
“Ofcourse, It can’t be me,,, Do you expect us to be project partners by fate?? It can only be because of coincidence”
“Well, at least… I will love it if it’s you”
Mave replied.
“Am okay with anyone the school pair me with”
She said scrolling on her phone screen.

“Hope is not someone I Know?? I have heard the Lydia once before on the first day I came into campus”

Mave said as Jenny try to think where she heard that name”
“Yeah, I remembered,,, the girl bella maltreated on the school field,,, I was trying to save her from Bella’s hands before Olivia stopped me”

“She is definitely the one,, and now am surprised she is law class but can’t stand up for herself”

Mave compliment,, Jenny smiles and look back at her phone.
“Omg, it’s jaylen…
Jenny shouted.
“What happened to jaylen??
“He is my project partner… Am very sure he set this up,,he is behind this,,”
“Wow, Jenny.. you are really lucky and fortunate,,, you two might ignore this project and still get your full score”
“Please,,, I don’t really care,,, I don’t want to be partners with jaylen ”
“Really?? Is this what you want to repay back after what he did for you??”
“But he expelled me in the first place”
Jenny replied.
“Look, the least of the thing you can do for him is to be his partner”
Mave said and Olivia walked in looking stressed out.
She was about to put off her blue uniform without looking around the room before Jenny spoke up.
“Olivia”
Jenny said and Olivia jerk back in fear.
“Gosh, you almost ki|| me”
She replied and look at mave…
“Wow, who is this cute guy in our room”
Olivia asked and smile.
“This is mave,,, the guy I was telling you about”
Jenny introduced.
“Hmm,,, you mean the jobless guy that do follow you around like a bodyguard”
Olivia asked… Jenny whisper to her to shut up but it’s too late..

Mave said.
Jenny covered her face with her hands. embarrassed.
“Oh, am sorry… That came out wrongly”
Olivia apologized.
“FYI, Jenny… I am not jobless, I work at a coffee shop right here on campus”
“Well, I like that you are not like Jenny who is only focused on books without a side hustle”
Olivia replied.
“What do you do?”
Mave asked.
“I have no time for a side hustle,, am Olivia by the way,, a medical student”.
“And you have time for parties??
Jenny asked.
“Nice to meet you,,, which one of the medical majors,, am having a friend who is trying to get into one”
“X-ray technologist”
Olivia replied.
Jenny just stares at both of them..
“Please Olivia.. can you excuse my friend now??”
Olivia smile and walk to her bed.

A man sat down watching TV, eating pizza with a bottle of beer in his living room.
He continue watching till a woman came out of the bedroom with a little girl in her arms.
“We are heading out,,,”
The woman said as the man stood up and walk to them.
“Be safe outside, please… We don’t know if those ki||ers are still around”
The man warned and gave his woman a kiss on the forehead.
“Be careful, Jenny and be good,, don’t follow strangers”
He said and rub her hairs.
“I will be fine, dad,, I won’t forget the protective ski||s you taught me”
Jenny smile happily.
Her mom smile…
“Breakfast is in the kitchen,, treat yourself something”
“Sure,,
He replied as they both walk out of the house.
The man sighed.
“I will surely find who ki||ed my brother”
He muttered staring at the bareless wall as tears rolled down his eyes.
Five minutes later,,,,,….
Another knock came on the door.
He quickly clean up his tears.
“Did they forget something??”
He muttered and walk to the door,, he opened it and the next thing he know,, he was shot in the leg.
Four armed men walked in.
“And you must be Taylor’s brother”
A man came in afterwards wearing a sweat jacket and covered his face.
“And who are you??’
The man asked in pain.
“Am your brother’s ki||er you have been looking for”
He replied and shot him in the forehead,… He turned to his men.
“Find the girl now,,, find every corner of this f-__-king house..
I will make sure I end all of Taylor’s generation”

(Present day)
“Mave shouldn’t have abandoned me today,,, and now am going to class alone”
Jenny said angrily to herself as she walks to class.
Jaylen and Noah came out of the vehicle,, the person his eyes first met was Jenny, walking alone.
“Noah, I think I will see you later”
Jaylen tap him on the shoulder and walk towards Jenny.
“Hey,,, wait
Noah shouted but jaylen turned deaf ears.
“Just because I left you alone at the party doesn’t mean you should take your revenge now”
He said to no one in particular..,,, he sighs and walk to class alone.
Jaylen walk up to Jenny.
Students passing by take a close look at them as they walk away…
“Hey”
Jaylen called.
Jenny look at jaylen and sigh.
“Again??
“What do you want this time??”
She asked.
“Do you h@ťě me that much??”
Why don’t you like seeing me around?’
“Do you really want to know??
“Yes..”
“Cos I dislike you,, seeing you make me remember what your sister did to me,, I have tried so much but seeing you make it worst”.
“Oh,, your words hurt,,, but am not my sister,, my sister may be bad or heartless but that doesn’t make me like her”
“I don’t care”
She replied and walk away..
Jaylen hold her back.
“You’ve change alot..
This is not the girl I know”
“Will you please stop pretending you know me or like you know my whole life?? Cos you know nothing about me,, or my life”
Jenny replied and took out her purse,, brought out some money and throw it at him.
“If you think I still owe you because you saved me,,, that’s your reward…
Don’t ever cross path with me again, I don’t want to see you around me anymore”
She finally walk away into the building.
Jaylen kept a normal face,, like someone who doesn’t feel hurt by her words.
By this time, everyone had already gathered watching the whole drama.
“Maybe I mistake her for someone else?? But she had a resemblance of Juliet”
He said with a confusion look and continue his walk… He face the ground as he walks thinking of what just happened..
Someone bumped into him and he fall to the ground.
“Omg, am so sorry…
Josephine said helping him up.
She looked into his face and gasped.
Josephine covered her mouth in shock..
