CHAPTER 19
☆I’ll PROTECT YOU ☆
Kimberly gasped loudly as Jayden fell into her arms.
“Ah!” He yelped in pain as the flower pot crashes on his head. His mouth went open releasing a painful gasp as he reached for the floor together with Kim.
“Hey…Jayden hey!” Kim shakes the Jayden who slips into unconsciousness immediately he got to the floor.
“Jayden…jayden…no…” Kim raised her dampened hands forward only to see it stained with his blood. His blood already splattered on the floor.
“JAYDEN!!!” She yelped.
HOSPITAL.
Kimberly wouldn’t stop crying as Jayden was rushed into the ER.
Her uniform was bloody so as her hands.
“Kimberly!!” She heard a voice and look back to see Annabelle running to her.
“Mother!” She called in tears running to her arms. Embracing her she weep on her arms.
HOURS LATER.
“It may take a while for him to wake up but he’ll surely be fine you don’t have to worry” The doctor said to them while Annabelle sighs.
“When exactly will he wake up?”
“Probably after some hours” The doctor replied.
“Thank you doctor” Annabelle thanked the doctor who nodded and excuse her.
Sighing, she went towards the bed where Kimberly was seating also.
She had already cleaned up and changed her bloody clothes. Ever since Jayden has been treated she has been beside him not leaving him for a moment.
“He’ll be fine” Annabelle mutters patting Kimberly who only sniffs.

“You should go mother…I’ll watch over him”
“Alright dear…call me if anything happens. I’ll inform others and we’ll all visit later”
“Sure” Kim replied while Annabelle held her hands.
“Don’t worry…he’ll be okay” She smiles at her.
“You should go mother…don’t worry and leave him to me” Kimberly said and Annabelle gave her one last hug before leaving.
AN HOUR LATER.
Jayden opens his eyes and look around taking in his environment.
The memory of what happened last replayed in his head and he groans holding his head.
“Kimberly” He mutters looking around only not to see her.
Immediately, he started removing the IV attached to his hand and just then the door rattles and Kimberly came out of the bathroom.
“Jayden?” She called shocked on seeing him and immediately Jayden saw her, he got away from the bed running to her.
“Kim!” He mutters hugging her so tightly while she did also.
“Are you okay? You’re not hurt anywhere!” Jayden asked holding her face and checking her out.
Kimberly knocked his forehead and he groans leaving her. He rubs his forehead wincing.
“Hey why did you_” His statement was cut short when she threw her arms around him.
She whimpers on his shoulder while he only hugs her back.

“You’re not completely okay so it’ll be good if you just lie down for now. Don’t go around removing the IV like you did earlier” The nurse said as she gave him another drip.
“Thank you pretty nurse” Jayden winks at the nurse who only smiles before going out.
“What really happened earlier? Who threw that flower pot and why did you take the hit for me?” Kimberly asked extending an apple to him which he collected.
“Don’t know…it just happened” Jayden shrugged taking a bite from the Apple.
“Is it the same person? The one who called me out to the auditorium?” Kim asked closely while Jayden didn’t respond.
“Shouldn’t we report this to the cops. This person is dangerous”
“Did you just realized that?”
“This is not a matter of joke Jayden. We have to do something!”
“Don’t worry…I’ve got things under control”
“What can you possibly do by yourself? I’m gonna report this” She took her phone while Jayden quickly stop her.
“Don’t!” Kim raised a Questioning brow.
“At least not yet. Kim can you trust me on this. I promise…to fish the person out”
“How? The person keeps coming after me. Who knows what he or she would do next. You almost died with this”
“But I’m still pretty much alive…don’t worry I’ll always protect you. Nothing will happen” he assured while Kim sighs.
“That’s why you shouldn’t ignore my calls…if you had answered we would have probably avoided that”
“Cause you were being annoying! But how did you know the person was gonna attack me?”
“That…my guts”
“Your guts uh?”
“I’m awesome right?” He grins while Kimberly just shakes her head returning to the Apple she was peeling.
“But…you cried a lot earlier…why?” He asked.
“What do you mean why? I just did”
“I think you love me too much” He snickers.
“For today at least I’ll let you off the hook think however you want” she said not looking at him.
Jayden couldn’t help watching her with smiles as she peels off the apple.
“We seem like a married couple don’t you think?” He suddenly said while Kim just ignore him.
“It’s like I your husband got into an unfortunate accident and you the wife is taking extra care of me” He said again while Kim sighs looking at him.
“I’m tested to try smacking you with this but I’m only holding myself back because you’re not well. Don’t test me Jayden” Kim grits while Jayden Snickers in a haughty manner.
Kim rolled her eyes and continue what she was doing while Jay think of another way to taunt her.
“You still haven’t answered my question” He said suddenly.
“What?” She asked not taking her off the apple she was peeling.
“I asked…if I was a good kisser?” He teases while she looks at him now.
“You wanna die?” She glared showing him the penknife in her hand and he chuckles.
The door opens and Jade stuck his head in.
“Delivery” He announced getting their attention.
“Get lost!” Agnes nudge him away from the door going in along with Onda.
“You guys are here” Kim smiles going to them.
“Hey i know you misses me greatly but skipping classes isn’t it too much? I won’t take responsibility if you guys fail” Jayden said as they all came in.
“I can see he’s fine…since he can spew rubbish already” Agnes mutters slumping on one of the couch there.
“We brought some things you might needed” Onda said bringing out a nylon of snacks.
“And I make the pizza delivery” Jade placed the pizza carton on the table.
“Wow! It’s pizza!!” Jayden’s face lighten up.

“But who could have done something so cruel like this?”
“Could it be Verna?” Onda suggested.
“But wasn’t she suspended? And also I don’t think she has anything to do with Jay”
“The attack was meant for Kim remember…it may be part of her scheme to get revenge. In the end everything is because of me” Onda said with her head down.
“Im sure it’s not like that…she wouldn’t go that far. And even if she did. It’s not because of you…it’s just because she’s a devil” Jade said holding her hand. While Onda only sighs.
“We can’t be too sure. That girl is evil” Agnes said also.
“Kim do you have any idea of who it could be?” Jade asked her.
“Ohh…I can’t think of anything…I don’t know” She shakes her head.
“I guess she must have done some stupid things and they’re only after her for that” Agnes said.
“I don’t bully others” Kim retorts.
“I didn’t say anything” Agnes shrugged.
“What’s really happening?” Jade ruffles his hair while Jayden just munch on the pizza not minding any of them.
AMAZON’S HOUSE.
With the sweats covering her body you could easily know she just finished some sort of work out. She massage her left shoulder as she walks towards the fridge to get a glass of water.
“Dad?” She called surprised when she spot Mr Amazon drinking quietly in the bar.
“Oh Verna dear” Mr Amazon came out of the bar with a glass of whiskey in his hand.
“Why are you home by this time? It’s merely one” She asked pouring herself a glass of water.
“Ohh…there was nothing much to do at the office. You know I wasn’t supposed to resume yet…I came home not long enough but you were practicing so I didn’t wanna disturb you” Mr Amazon replied taking a seat at the kitchen counter.
“I was bored alone…so I decided to shake things off by dancing” She said dropping the glass of water after gulping it down.
“Have you called mom?” She asked.
“Yeah but…I think she’ll come later…they’re quite busy at the hospital”
“She should just quit her work…so she’ll have enough time for you Dad”
“No…I’m okay with how things are. It’s her dream after all”
“At what age? She should have done that when she was younger…instead she spent her days f-__-king around” Verna shakes her head while Mr Amazon said nothing.
“Oh my gosh…that was a slip of tongue”
“No…it’s okay…she explained everything to me. Her past. It must have been tough on you Verna” Mr Amazon said while Verna walks to the living room.
“Well I wouldn’t say it was that bad…thanks to her I came to know the real fun at an early age” She slumps on the couch pressing on her left shoulder.
“That was her negligence”
“No it wasn’t…she must have wanted me to be like her”
“She’s changed now”
“Yeah…exactly why she made such an outrageous decision of getting married.” She mutters.
Mr Amazon sighs.
“But don’t worry…the marriage thing I’m cool with it. Thanks to it I manage to get a wonderful father and a great brother. It’s fun” She grins while Mr Amazon dropped the glass of whiskey walking to the living room also.
“Does it hurts?” He asked on noticing her rubbing her left shoulder.
“Just a little…it’s been long since I practice…my body must be getting relaxed. Dad can you help me to massage it?” She requests.
“Sure” Mr Amazon got behind the couch.
“Here” He started pressing on the left shoulder softly and she releases a sigh.
“I promise to be a better father” He said behind her.
“I want the best” Verna said and he nodded.
“Hmmm…” She releases a soft Mõ@ɲ resting her head on the couch. Her eyes met with that of Mr Amazon’s who smiles down at her. She smiles also.
“Mom really got good taste…now I’m jealous” She mutters while Mr Amazon furrows his brow. Verna only smile back.
“Does it still hurts?” He asked.
“It does…so does the second” She said closing her eyes.
“Oh really…” Mr Amazon said massaging her both her shoulders.
Her chest went up and down slowly as she releases some soft silent Mõ@ɲs. Some sweats broke down from her face to her neck.
Mr Amazon couldn’t help looking as it went down her neck to her chest. His eyes traces it and he clears his throat immediately he realizes what he was doing.
“I think that should be better now” He said withdrawing while Verna opens her eyes pouting.
“If it still hurts you can call your mother she wou_”
“You said she’s busy at the hospital…I don’t wanna perturb her”
“Ohh…there’s nothing much I can do”
“Of course there is. Just continue doing what you are doing…it’s really helping”
“But still…”
“Come on daddy…your daughter is in pains” She pouted.
“Alright…let me give it one more try then” He places his hands on her shoulders and started pressing it softly.
“Now my whole body aches…can you go down a little daddy” She requested while her father looks away massaging down to her chest.
“Go down…more” She said looking at him and grinning at the same time.
“Verna just wait till your Mother comes back I’m sure she’ll do something” Mr Amazon said withdrawing his hands.
“But I want you to do it daddy…you said you’re gonna be the best…show some examples now” She said looking at him while he clears his throat.
“Was it just empty words?” She frowns.
“Verna this isn’t what I should be doing…I’m sorry daughter but…I can’t” He said while Verna sighs in frustration.
“Quit it already Dad…just do what I ask you to do” She raised up her chest showing him more of her B-__-bs.
“Come on Dad” Verna said to the hesitating Mr Amazon.
“It’s only massaging why is it so hard for you to do” She groans taking his hands and placing it on her chest. Mr Amazon gasp.
“Hurry daddy…” She closes her eyes while Mr Amazon started to massage her chest gently slipping his hands underneath her singlet in the process.
“Yeah…like that” She smiles when his hands cupped her B-__-bs and he started to fondle with them.
“As expected…you’re the best daddy” She grins while Mr Amazon continues with the act for minutes.
After a while she opens her eyes biting her lips. She stood while Mr Amazon withdrew his hands. Smiling flirty at him she kneed on the couch facing him and in a swift she took off her singlet. Her B-__-bs bounced out with her Ɲīpplës pointing directly to his face.
“I want your mouth on them…daddy” She said.
LATER AT NIGHT.
Jayden opens his eyes slowly. He touch his bandaged head which seems to hurt and groans turning to his side only to find Kim sleeping soundly with her head on the bed.
“Kim” He mutters but got no response.
Slowly, he moves away her hair which was covering her face and watch her sleep peacefully. Leaning closer, he places his lips on her forehead and it lingers there for some moments.
He withdrew and lay his head comfortably on the pillow staring at her. Her eyes squinted and eventually opens after some seconds.
Without uttering a word, Jayden continues staring at her while she did also.
Kim furrows her eyebrows when he wouldn’t say a word and just stare at her with a total strange expression on.
However, she didn’t say anything either and they just keep the staring competition on until her eyes became heavy for her to open.
Eventually it closes after some moments and a smile spread on Jayden’s lips before his eyes closes also.
AMAZON’S HOUSE.
“Good night Mom” Verna kissed both her cheeks.
“Good night my dear” Her mother replied.
“Good night daddy” She moves closer to Mr Amazon giving him a kiss on the cheek also but without letting anyone know, she lick his cheek seductively.
“Good night” Mr Amazon manage to say.
“Good night brother” She gave Diego a kiss on the chest also winking at him while he looks away.
“Then we’ll go to bed now” Diego said while they nodded. Together with Verna, he walks away both going to their different rooms.
“Let’s go” Mrs Amazon smiles at Mr Amazon who seems lost in thought.
“Oh…yeah” He mutters and they leave too with Mrs Amazon linking hands with him.

“Honey is something wrong? You seems restless” Mrs Amazon quizzed noticing his bothered expression.
Actually, ever since he slept with Verna during the day he had been feeling guilty and bothered.
He knew he should have controlled himself and not have done something so ridiculous with his own daughter but he just couldn’t hold himself back and now it’s eating him up.
He feels like he should confess everything to his wife but at the same time he’s scared to tell her.
What will his son think of him if he learns of this?
How will he explain to his wife that he had slept with her daughter?
He releases a deep sigh bowing his head.
“Tell me…is it because you missed me too much?” Mrs Amazon asked coyly while he forced a smile.
“Of course…I missed you d@mn much” He said taking her lips in his. Without taking much time, his hands started roaming about her body and she started releasing some Mõ@ɲs also. He kisses her all over her neck down to her chest teasing her while she giggles non stop.
Strangely, how he did that exactly to Verna earlier started replaying in his head and how she Mõ@ɲs his name ‘daddy…’ Wouldn’t stop ringing in his head also.
He feels like he’s going crazy.
He groans and withdraw away from her.
“Honey what’s wrong?” Mrs Amazon asked surprised but before he could answer a knock came at the door.
“Who is that?” Mrs Amazon asked.
“It’s me Diego…can I come in?” Diego asked from outside while Mrs Amazon quickly covers herself properly.
“Come in Diego dear” She said and the door opens with Diego stepping in.
“Sorry for disturbing late at night but there’s something you need to know” Diego announced.
“What is this about?” Mr Amazon asked.
“It’s about Verna” Diego said and Mr Amazon could feel his heart skipped a beat.
“Verna?” He mutters.
