CHAPTER 8
” Is she awake yet ? ” Tracy asked worriedly ” No, don’t worry she will be fine ” Lily assured but Tracy was still scared.
Kiara could hear voices in the background as she slowly opened her eyes, she groaned as she hold her head in pain ” Kiara, can you hear me ? Are you okay ?” Tracy asked as she climbed Kiara’s bed.
” No am not my head hurts ” Kiara replied and oscar frowned as he stared at Tracy ” we expected that since someone wasn’t careful ” Oscar said aid angrily and Tracy lowered her head.
” I’m sorry Kiara, I didn’t mean to hurt you ” Tracy said but got no reply ” Why are you saying sorry ? What happened ?” Kiara asked as she noticed the tension in the room.
” Well Kiara you were sleep talking last night or was it sleep walking anyways we tried to stop to you but all of a sudden some light appeared from nowhere and pushed us away….. Seems like you were walking and chanting some words which was very strange” Luke explained
” I don’t remember anything ” Kiara replied and Luke sighed ” That’s not all that happened ” Oscar said and Kiara looked at him.
” You were walking towards the woods and we decided to follow you, it was going smoothly until you stopped at the rail road…. You turn to our direction and attacked us ” lily said.
” I must admit you were really strong, we tried to stop you by talking some sense into you but you just throw Luke across the woods ” Antonio added making Kiara to frown .
” You guys are joking right ? ” Kiara asked laughing, for her to throw someone like Luke was hard to believe, the worst part she doesn’t remember anything, she looked at her friends for confirmation and they gave her a blank look.
” So they weren’t lieing?” She thought as she looked at her hands ” Someone then loose her cool and bang your head on the ground ” Oscar said as he stared at Tracy.
” That’s why my head hurts ” Kiara said rubbing her forehead ” Kiara I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you but you were out of control so I freaked out ” Tracy said sadly.
” And banging her head was the right thing to do ? ” Oscar asked and Tracy shake her head ” Stop fighting both of you ” lily yelled getting tired of their silly talk.
” It’s Okay Tracy, you did the right thing even though it hurts a little ” Kiara assured and Tracy nodded but didn’t say anything.
They excused Kiara for her to take her bath and came back after she was dressed ” Why is your mirror dusty ?” Lily asked cleaning the mirror with her hand.
” That’s because I don’t use it ” Kiara replied simply ” Who on earth doesn’t use a mirror ? ” Tracy asked as she was stunned by Kiara’s reply.
“Women and drama’s” Antonio said and Oscar chuckle ” Are you jealous ? ” Tracy asked and Antonio laughed ” No ” his answer was short and cold .
Kiara took a napkin and stood in front of the mirror ready to clean it. ” Maybe I should just leave it ” Kiara said. ” Are you that lazy ?” Oscar asked and Kiara groaned.
Kiara turned around and started cleaning the full length mirror when suddenly her hand went through the mirror surface. Kiara screamed as she stepped back.
” How did you do that ? ” Oscar asked and Kiara stared at him blankly indicating she was also surprised.
Tracy stepped closer and touched the mirror but nothing happened, lily tried and the results were the same.
Tracy sky glue eyes looked at the whole mirror and tap the surface ” There’s nothing ” she said but Kiara was already hiding behind Oscar.
” We can see you silly ” lily said and kiara grip on Oscar shirt tightened ” No you can’t ” Kiara said and Antonio pulled her out.
” Stop being lazy ” Antonio said and Kiara rolled her eyes. ” Kiara do it again and this time we will be close ” Oscar instructed but Kiara refused.
” No no no that thing will swallow me ” Kiara pointed at the mirror ” Just do it already ” Antonio said seriously ” No ” Kiara said as she wanted to run away.
” I’m here nothing will happen to you I promise ” Oscar said as he stared at Kiara ” Sure ?” Kiara asked and he nodded ” You can hold me of you want ” Oscar said.
” No ooo I don’t want to die ” Kiara screamed as Oscar pushed her forward. She don’t want to die now at least not now.
” Just trust me ” Oscar assured and Kiara took in a deep breath as she touched the mirror with a shaking hand, her hand slowly pass through the mirror and she immediately grabbed Oscars hand.
They found their selves in a place where everything is both familiar and different ” Where is this place ? ” Kiara asked .
Kiara walked to the centre of the room, there was a huge circle at the centre but a little hole was in between ” it looks like a lock ” Antonio said bending down.
The surface was blue, it looks like a blue liquid with a glass protecting it, it couldn’t be broken. ” Let’s look around for the key ” Luke said and they nodded.
The place was too dark and they couldn’t find anything just strange drawings on the wall ” In ancient times, drawing where used to tell stories ” Tracy said as her nails trailed over the drawing.
They turned to looked at Kiara and their mouth hanged open ” What ?” Kiara asked as she looked behind ” We found the key ” Antonio replied as he stepped closer.
” Where ?” Kiara asked moving in circles but there was nothing, so what was Antonio talking about? ” Silly, Kiara you’re the key ” Oscar responded and Kiara stared at him dumbfounded.
” But I’m not that tiny ” Kiara complained but got no reply instead Antonio removed the chain from her neck ” Can you explain this ?” Antonio asked.
Kiara dragged her hair in frustration as she was drowning in confusion ” I found it at the trash dumb off the coast, isn’t it pretty ?” Kiara asked ignoring the look they were giving her.
” How can someone be stupid and cute at the same time ?” Oscar asked and Antonio gave him a hard look. ” You don’t know when to be serious Oscar ” Luke said.
Antonio put the chain in the hole and the ground started shaking, A small pillar came out of the circle and a book was there.
The cover was black and designed with blue gems. Kiara was the first to take the book as she can’t resist pretty things ” Jackpot ” she uttered as a smile could be seen on her face.
” Gosh we just found a treasure ” Tracy exclaimed as Kiara gave her the book ” Does it have powers ” lily asked in excitement.
” Stop the dramas ” Luke said taking the book from them ” This must be the book your aunt is talking about ” Oscar said as realization hit him.
” But what’s the book about ?” Antonio asked and the place fell into deep silence. Kiara put the chain back on and took the book, the book suddenly opened making Kiara to drop the book and run away.
” Is everything in this place possessed ?” She asked as she was about to faint out of fear. The book moved on its own and stopped when it got to ONI
” What is it trying to say ?” Lily asked confused as Kiara picked the book again ” it seems like it has all the full details about that beast, information we couldn’t find in the Library ” Kiara replied.
” You’re correct miss clumsy ” Antonio said and Kiara rolled her eyes ” Blah blah blah I’m not clumsy ” Kiara protested but Antonio just chuckle.
” Guys can we focus ? ” Oscar asked as the book moved to another page ” I think I understand what going on ” Oscar said and Antonio laughed.
” What was that for ?” Luke asked and Antonio looked away ” well I think the book was made thousands of years ago…that’s what the drawings was saying ” Oscar said ignoring Antonio.
” My ain’t might know something about this book after all she has been haunting demons… The bad ones exactly ” Kiara said
” Do those things exist ?” Lily asked and Tracy hit her head ” Silly, you’re not supposed to exist ” Tracy said laughing.
” Ohh ” lily let ot a sound as she just realized what she said…. Demons must be really good in disguising themselves.
