CHAPTER 48
It was strange how Hadley and the rest disappeared for weeks ” I’ll be back for Kiara ” that’s all she said before she disappeared.
Hadley is more stronger than them, even if they add their strength together they Still won’t be able to fight her.
They don’t want Kiara to leave with those demons, but still can’t fight them, aunt jadle was the only one who gave them hope but now she’s gone.
Because of Kiara chaos the town went dark for weeks, Antonio found out Ellie is Derek’s daughter, which was bad news but she promised to keep their identities a secret.
Kiara shut herself from the world, Skylar want back to the ocean to hide aunt jadle dust from everyone.
“Kiara…” Hadley called from the darkness only her red eyes could be seen ” what do you want ?” Kiara asked in a cracked voice.
” You need to get rid of your emotions, don’t you want revenge??” Alexis asked from behind.
” Who are you guys and why do you want to help me ?” Kiara asked in tears ” The prophecy ” they chorused.
Kiara eyes darkened, why didn’t they help her aunt ? Why did they have to come now ?
” Get lost ” Kiara yelled and Hadley chuckled making Kiara to shiver from fear.
” I gave you that chain, I have been watching you, right from the day you came into this world and the day you wore that chain, those creatures are after you, anyone around you will die, if you don’t leave, everyone including Antonio” Hadley pointed out.
Everyone around her will die? How’s that possible? What was she talking about ? Was Hadley trying to manipulate her thinking?
” That’s your fate, we ain’t responsible ” Alexis added coldly ” Antonio and Skylar are their next target” Ashley added calmly.
” Who are they ?” Kiara asked and they chuckled making Kiara to frown ” They ? There’s no they Kiara, you’re the one responsible ” Hadley replied.
” That’s a lie ” Kiara. Yelled and Alexis turn into Kiara ” How did you do that ?” Kiara asked as Alexis turn into his self again.
” Kiara you have to do what’s right ? Your aunt would say the same, but she was too scared to say the truth ” Hadley explained.
Aunt jadle hid the truth from her all this while ? Why would she do that ? Was she really the cause of all the death ?
” Have you ever wondered, why you represent death , Kiara ? Well because you’re designed to ki||, you’re the most deadliest predator, you’re the future or our end ” Alexis added.
” You ki|| everyone around you, if you ain’t taught how to control your powers then ” Ashley paused as Hadley gave her a look.
“Those voices, those nightmares, those signs are just the beginning Kiara, you drove your parents to death, by controlling Antonio, haven’t you wondered how those demons who ki||ed Levi and stabbed Tracy are ? How come they disappeared without a trace ?” Hadley asked.
” The more you use your powers the closer you draw everyone close to their death ” Ashley added after a while of silence.
” You create demons without knowing, your relationship with Antonio will get him ki||ed “Hadley said seriously.
Kiara shake her head in tears ” I can’t leave Antonio” Kiara cried ” Then get ready to watch him get ki||ed ” Alexis said.
Kiara wondered if these people has hearts, they talk about death without care or sympathy, who really are they? And what do they want from her ?
” Think about it Kiara, do you want to bury your friends or set them free ?” Hadley asked before she disappeared.
” Kiara, remember we were once in your shoes ” Ashley said before they walked into the darkness.
Kiara screamed as she jot out of bed only to be welcomed by Antonio worried look ” Babe, what’s wrong ?” Antonio asked.
Kiara hugged Antonio tightly and he patted her back gently ” Don’t be scared I’m here ” Antonio whispered as Kiara pulled away.
” Who are they ? ” Kiara asked and they sighed ” Raymond and Ellie, they are new ” Oscar replied and Kiara eyes darkened.
” Skylar ” Kiara called ” she will be back ” Levi replied and Kiara shake her head as she looked at them, one after the other.
She doesn’t want to hurt their feelings nor does she want to be the cause of their death. She has to leave, she doesn’t want them dead not yet.
” Kiara am sorry about your aunt ” Ellie said but Kiara didn’t say anything she just nodded slowly, it was just a dream, it wasn’t real.
Antonio brought her face up and wipe her tears ” Kiara, are you sure you’re okay ?” Luke asked but Kiara just looked at them blankly, she was there but she felt lost.
She has to do this, Antonio or Skylar can’t die, she won’t be able to live with herself if anything happens to them.
” Antonio, I want you to be happy ” Kiara said as Antonio hold her hand as he was confused ” I want you-all to promise me something” Kiara added.
” What is it ?” They asked and Kiara looked at Antonio then Oscar, her hands were cold which made Antonio worried.
” Please be friends again, for my sake please Antonio, promise me you’ll be happy even when I’m gone, I don’t want you to be sad ” Kiara replied.
” Fine anything you want, I’ll be friends with them, if you want ” Antonio said and Kiara smiled bitterly, Levi observed Kiara for a while before he stepped closer.
” You are leaving ain’t you ?” Levi asked and Kiara nodded slowly, Levi was able to read her without her even saying anything.
” You can’t leave Kiara ” Antonio said as he pulled away ” I have to, it’s the only way to protect you guys from me, I promise nothing will happen to me “Kiara assured.
” She’s manipulating you, isn’t she ?” Oscar asked and Kiara shake her head ” This is my decision, I’m the cause of everything, forget about me Antonio, let’s….let’s break up ” Kiara said as her voice cracked.
” Kiara, if you break up with me I’ll h@ťě you for life ” Antonio said seriously, he doesn’t want to break up with Kiara.
Kiara wipe her tears as she looked up but she couldn’t keep eye contact for a long time ” you’re not the right one for me, I never loved you…I was just pretending ” Kiara lied.
” That’s not true, don’t worry we will find a way to stop those creatures one way or the other ” Antonio said and Kiara shake her head.
” Antonio please forget about me, am sorry ” Kiara said slowly and Antonio stepped away from her.
