“Here you go, Kayla” Xiaomi said, giving her a can of soda.
“Thanks Xiaomi” Kayla muttered.
Xiaomi sighed and sat beside her. “Are you okay unfriending Isa? You and I know that Isa is a sweetheart”
“I know that Xiaomi, but it’s for the better. My mom loves me a lot, and she’d die if something bad happens to me. Even if Isa is a nice person, I can’t trust her”
“I understand how you feel Kayla, that’s why I am here for you” Xiaomi said and Kayla smiled.
“Thanks, Xiaomi”

≤ J•K•L HOSPITAL ≈ SAME DAY ≥
Jane came out from the hospital after getting Kayla’s medicines from Lucas. She was about entering her car when Adrian stopped her from doing so.
“Jane”
Jane looked at him and sighed. “What do you want this time, Adrian? Are you here to defend Debra again?” She asked.
“No Jane. I just want to see if my daughter is okay”
“Well she’s fine, she got discharged some days ago. I already told you what you want to hear, so get lost” She said and was about to open her car door, but Adrian held her hand.
Adrian let go of her hand when Jane shot him a deadly glare.
“I know you are mad at me, but I know Debra so well. We grew up together and despite her ill-treatment towards you, she’s not responsible for what happened to Kayla. She can do all sort of things, but ki||ing isn’t in her vocabulary. I asked Isa severally and she said Debra never gave her any cookies. I believe both Debra and Isa”
“Then why, Adrian?”
“Why what?” Adrian asked, looking at her beautiful eyes.
“Why didn’t you believe me when I said I was innocent? You were quick to judge me, but when it involved Debra, you believed her without any doubt. Was I that difficult to trust?” Jane asked as her eyes became glassy.
“But you did it right? You played with my heart, right?” Adrian asked in a soft tone.
Jane laughed lightly, blinking back her tears. “You still believe I did it. Well it’s all in the past, so keep believing what ever runs through that little brain of yours, but one thing is for sure, I am going to get the root of all these things happening to me” Jane said.
She entered her car and drove off.
“Is she innocent like she claims?” Adrian muttered, running his hand through his hair.

≤ JULIANNE’S CONDO ≥
Julianna sat on her bed looking at Lucas’s picture. She had tears in her eyes and likewise smiles too.
“It’s really going to be over for me when you find out about what I did to both Jane and Kayla. I love you so much Lucas, and I am sacred of losing you. My life was finally complete when I met you Lucas, and that’s why I didn’t hesitate to tell you how I felt about you” Julianne said, sniffling.
≤ FLASH BACK ≈ SOME YEARS BACK ≥
“Thanks for helping me fixed My broken light, Lucas. It’s embarrassing that I called you” Julianna said.
“It’s fine Julie, I’m glad I was able to help. We go to the same college, so it’s essential for me to be of help to you” He said and Julianna smiled.
“Thanks a lot, Lucas you’re so nice”
“I get that a lot. I will be going now, Julianna. Jane needs me” He said, trying to leave, but Julianna held his hand.
“Do you need something else?” He asked, but instead of giving answers to his question, Julianna kissed him.
“Julie” Lucas muttered her name, pushing her away slightly.
“Why did you kiss me, Julie?” He asked touching his lips.
“I love you, Lucas”
“Huh?”
“Will you be my boyfriend?” She asked, with twinkling eyes.

Julianna looked at Lucas’s picture and smiled sadly.
“I was so happy when you decided to date me Lucas. From the moment I saw you and Jane, I recognize her immediately. I tried holding back my feelings for you, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t do it, that’s why I feign ignorance and decided to date you, pretending that I only got to know Jane through you. I’m sorry Lucas, but I will keep on doing everything I can so you can be mine forever” Julianna said, sniffling.
Her phone buzzed, she looked at the message and it was from Rebecca.
💬 Don’t forget about our plan or you’re going to lose Lucas for good
Julianna read the message and buried her head between her thighs crying.

≤ THE STARS ACADEMY ≥
“Kayla” Isa called her name, blocking her path.
“Can you get out of the way? I have something important to do”
“Kayla, let’s talk about this. You can’t wake up one morning and say we should become enemies”
“I have thought about it, and I think it’s better we don’t talk to each other for the benefits of everyone. We’re half-sisters, but it’s not all half-sisters that gets along, right?”
“Why can’t you believe me Kayla? I’m innocent”
“You want me to believe you? Then tell me why you were avoiding me before you gave me the cookies”
“It’s something I don’t want to talk about Kayla, but I am innocent of the crime laid against me. My mom and I didn’t collide with each other to poison you, please believe me Kayla. I’m telling you the truth”
“How can I trust you when you can’t tell me why you were avoiding me? I love my mom, and I’m just obeying her, so let’s just forget we ever know each other” Kayla said and walked away.
Isa sat down on the school’s bench. She was fighting back her tears, but she couldn’t do it.
“Why are you born this way, Isa? You can’t speak up for yourself and keep crying over little things. Why can’t you just convince Kayla that you didn’t do it, why?” She asked herself, crying.

Kayla kept walking without any direction, until she stumbled on a stone and fell.
“Ouch!” She winced in pain. She tried standing to her feet, but she fell back to the ground.
“You’re are so stupid, Kayla. You’re the one who cut ties with Isa, and yet you’re the one who is feeling the pains” She said, sniffling.
“That’s because you care about her a lot ” Xavier said, squatting beside her.
“What are you doing here?”
“Let’s take a look at your knee” Xavier said, trying to look at her knee, but Kayla slapped his hand.
“I’m fine. I didn’t call for your help”
“You indirectly called for my help, by falling to the ground. If avoiding Isa hurts a lot, then stop giving her cold shoulders”
“She’s the cause of all of this. I think there’s something she knows that she’s not telling me, and it leaves me no choice but to suspect her. Before she knew we were sisters, she liked me genuinely and that’s why I kind of feel bad”
Xavier sighed and look at her knee, and Kayla yelped in pain after he did that.
“Do you want to ki|| me!” She asked.
“I have never seen someone who died from this.You sustain a wound on your knee, do you want me to take you to the school’s clinic?” He asked, looking at her.
“As what? You’re not my boyfriend, so why should you…”
Kayla was cut short because Xavier carried her in a bridal style, before she could complete her statement, and she gasped with wide open eyes.
“Why are you shock, Kayla? Haven’t you been carried this way before?”
“Put me down this instant, I can walk on my own” Kayla stutter, because her heart was racing.
“I will only do that when we get to the school’s clinic” He said and smiled at her, showing off his beautiful dimples.
As for Kayla, she smiled secretly as Xavier takes her to the school’s clinic in his arms.

≤ A BAR ≈ NIGHT ≥
“Are you crazy? Or are you by chance taking drugs? What has come over you Julianna? You want me to help you take a naked photo of Jane!”
“She’s going to tell Lucas about what I did to Jane fifteen years ago” Julianna said.
“Who exactly is this woman, Julianna? You didn’t tell me about her years ago, all you said is that she was going to help you. Who the heck is she?” Rodolfo asked.
“You don’t have to know about her, Bestie. She’s not important right now. She’s thr_@tening me, I can’t lose Lucas”
“Just because of your obsession for Lucas, you want to ruined Jane’s life?”
“You’re right, Rodolfo. I’m obsessed with Lucas and I will do everything I can just to make sure he is mine”
“I can’t help you this time around, Julianna. The mistake I did was partaking in your crime. You have to come clean, Julianna!”
“I have gone too far to go back, Rodolfo. You’re the only one who I can count on, please help me out” Julianna said with pleading eyes.
“Those words won’t work on me anymore, Julianna. I have a wife and I’d be devastated if someone upload her nake pictures online. I won’t help you participate in another crime” Rodolfo said and stood up to his feet.
“If you don’t help me, I am going to do it myself and we will no longer be best friends!” Julianna shouted at him.
Rodolfo ignored her and walked out of the bar, and Julianna screamed in anger.
“I have to do this on my own. I can do it without his help” Julianna said, clenching her fist.

The slapping sound of Rebecca’s heels could loudly be heard as she entered the room, she locked up Antonio.
“Long time no see, Antonio. Did you miss me?” She asked, but Antonio only glared at her. He couldn’t speak.
Rebecca looked at him for a while and laughed. “That’s right, I forgot you can’t speak anymore. This is what you get for betraying me, Antonio” She said and brought out an inoculation from her bag and inject it inside Antonio’s body.
“As long as I inject you with this, you will never be able to walk or speak, and tomorrow your so-called heiress will be the talk of Los Angeles. She will be embarrassed to death. That’s what I want anyways, for her to always be in pain” Rebecca said, laughing like a witch, and Antonio looked at her with tears falling down from his eyes.

≤ LOS ANGELES ≈ NEXT DAY, J•K•L HOSPITAL ≥
“Don’t worry Jane, I will be at the fashion show. I just finished with the surgery I was booked for. See you at the event” Lucas said and ended the call.
He looked at Jane’s picture he used as his wallpaper and smiled. He was about leaving his office when Adrian entered.
“What are you doing here?” He asked.
“Can I have a word with you?” Adrian asked.
“We have nothing to talk about, Adrian” He said, and just then, Roldofo entered the office.
“Rodolfo” Lucas called his name and Adrian looked at him, wondering where he had seen his face.
“It’s a good thing the both of you are here, that way you can stop Julianna”
“Julianna?”
“How do you know me?” Adrian asked.
“I shouldn’t be doing this, but it’s the only way for me to stop Julianna”
“Why did you keep mentioning Julianna’s name? What has she done?” Lucas asked, curiously.
Rodolfo brought out his phone from his pocket, he search for Jane’s clip video and gave it to Adriana.
Adrian quickly covered his ears after he heard Jane’s painful words fifteen years ago.
“Put that away, I don’t want to listen to it. I deleted it a long time ago, because it brings me nothing but pains”
“Stop acting like a child and rewatch the video, Adrian! There was something you didn’t notice in the video”
“Something? What’s that?” Adrian asked.
“See for yourself”
Adrian takes the phone from Rodolfo and began watching the video.
“Forget about what Jane is saying, Adrian. Take a proper look at her, how is she like?” Rodolfo asked.
“Her… Her eyes are closed” Adrian stuttered.
“That’s what you didn’t notice fifteen years ago, Adrian. Jane was talking but she had no idea about what she was saying because, she was under sedation. She only said what she was being told to say” Rodolfo said, and balls of tears falls down from Adrian’s eyes.
He fell to the ground and Jane’s voice from fifteen years ago, began echoing in his ears, pleading with him that she didn’t do it.
“Why did you do that to Jane!!!” Lucas shouted at Rodolfo, grabbing his collar. His face was shown in the video.
“I was just helping Julianna, because she’s my best friend” Rodolfo said.
“Stop mentioning Julianna’s name when she’s not involved in this!”
“She is, Lucas. She’s the waitress who sedated Jane’s water and took a video of Jane when she was saying what she didn’t mean, and now she’s about to expose Jane’s naked body online”
“What?” Lucas muttered, letting go of Rodolfo.
