“f-__-k I just brought this clothes” Debra cries.
“I’m so sorry Ma’am, I didn’t see you” The waitress apologize, and Debra stood up to her feet immediately.
“You didn’t see me? Are you trying to say I am too small for you to see, or better still invisible?” Debra asked with rage.
“I didn’t see you” Th waitress said again, igniting the anger inside of Debra.
“Stop saying you didn’t see me!” Debra shouted trying to slap the innocent waitress, but Jane held her hand. She tried breaking free from Jane’s grip, but Jane held her tightly.
“What’s your problem!!” Debra shouted at Jane.
“You brought this upon yourself so I won’t sit here and watch you nitpick on an innocent girl. You and Adrian are the past that I don’t want to think about, so do me a favor and leave me alone, else you want to taste more of my wrath” Jane said with a serious look on her face, before releasing Debra’s hand, and she yelps.
“I am sorry for the scene you just witnessed Sophia, I didn’t mean for it to happen, I just wanted to chain up an idiotic dog that has been barking” Jane said, hoping she won’t lose her contract with Sophia all because of Debra.
Sophia looked at Debra and beamed a smile at Jane. “You don’t have to apologize for anything Jane. Some people wants to be treated like dogs, so it won’t be bad if we give them what they want. I have a photo$h00t to go to now, so I can’t stay for long. You already have my number, right?” Sophia asked.
“Yes I do” Jane answered, smiling.
“Send me your account details and the amount for the wedding gown, and I will have it transfer to you after I see your message”
“Thanks a lot Sophia”
“Don’t thank me Jane. I should be the one thanking you because I know you’re going to do a great job. See you some other time Jane Meyers” Sophia said and tried to leave, but Debra held her hand.
“I am more better than Jane when it comes to designers. Work with me and I promise you that you won’t regret it” Debra said, smiling.
Sophia looked at Debra from head to toe, and jerked her hand off. “Sorry, but I don’t work with mad people” Sophia said before leaving.
“Why are you smiling?” Debra asked Jane with rage.
“Because Sophia is saying the truth. People with sense, don’t work with mad people” Jane said taking her channel bag from the table.
“It’s not over yet, Jane Meyers” Debra said.
Jane stopped walking and smiled at her. “I will be waiting for your comeback, Debra McBroom, but before your comeback, pay for the damages you cause, else you might sleep in the police cell” Jane said with a smile, before leaving the restaurant.
“I won’t let you win over me Jane. I won’t!” Debra spats, clenching her fingers.

Kayla came out from the Dior company after her photo$h00ts were taken, and she gasps when she saw it was raining. Since she was an ambassador of Dior brand she was always in the front covers of their weekly magazine, and because of her beauty, lots of people are always gather to buy her magazine, because she’s the queen of swags and facial expressions during her photo$h00t, so her sales is always a hints, and any time she advertise Dior’s products online, it gets millons of views before twenty-four hours.
Her driver who was waiting for her at the parking lot came to her. He was already soaked by the rain.
“Kayla!” He called her name.
“Why aren’t you with a raincoat?” She asked.
“I forgot to bring one with me” The driver answered.
“You forgot to bring a raincoat with you? How could you have forgotten, when the weather forecasters announced it was going to rain today?” Kayla asked, folding her arms under her small B-__-bs.
“It slipped my mind, but you can just come with me to the parking lot, and I will take you home”
“You expect me to enter the rain? Have you forgotten I am not tolerance to rain. I’m allergic to rainfall, and a drop from it gives skin burn” Kayla said.
“Sorry Kayla. Should we wait until it stopped raining?” He asked.
“It’s going to take lots of time before it stops raining, and I have some school projects to finish up, since school is resuming tomorrow. I can’t do it at night, because it has become a habit of mine to go to bed early, do me a little favor and get me a raincoat” Kayla said.
“You can use mine” Someone said.
Kayla turned her back and sees Xiaomi beaming a smile at her.
“Who are you?” She asked.
“My name is Xiaomi, you might not know me, but I know you” Xiaomi said, smiling.
“Are you working for Dior brand too?” Kayla asked.
“No I am not. I’m assisting my neighbor who is a cleaner here. She’s old so that’s why I am helping her out. My mom doesn’t know about it, else she’s going to ki|| me” Xiaomi said slitting her neck with her finger and Kayla smiled.
“But you’re going home, if you lend me your raincoat, you’re going to get wet”
“Don’t worry about me Kayla, I am not affected by rainfall. You need it more than I do” Xiaomi said, giving her the raincoat. Kayla smiled and took it from her.
“Thanks Xiaomi”
“You’re welcome. The raincoat belongs to my twin brother, I will come up with a lie to tell him today, so bring the raincoat while coming to school tomorrow”
“You attend The stars Academy”
“I and my brother will become a student of that school tomorrow, so bring it to school tomorrow, so I’d return it to my brother”
“I will Xiaomi. Thanks a lot”
“See you tomorrow, Kayla” Xiaomi said before running off inside the rain.
Kayla looked at the raincoat and smiled.

⟨ SAME DAY ≈ STARLIGHT FASHION INDUSTRY ⟩
Jane sighed for the umpteenth times, as she tried calling Kayla, but it wasn’t going true. Since it was raining, Jane was worried about Kayla.
Joyce enters the office and sees her wearing a worried face. “Ma’am, are you alright?” She asked.
“It’s raining heavily and I can’t get in touch with Kayla. I just want to confirm if she’s home already. She’s allergic to rainfall” Jane said dialing Kayla’s number again.
“Don’t worry too much ma’am, I called the maids at home and they said Kayla is back home and she’s in her room doing her school projects. They were giving school projects to do during the holidays remember?” Joyce asked and Jane let out a sigh of relief.
“Thanks so much Joyce. I was worried about Kayla, and my mind didn’t think of calling the maids” Jane said.
“That’s why I am your personal assistant, Ma’am. I am always here to help you out” Joyce said and Jane smiled.
“Thanks Joyce. Do I have any schedule tonight, because I want to go home to see how Kayla is doing”
“Yes you do, but I will have it cancelled, because I know you won’t like it”
“What kind of meeting is that?” Joyce asked.
“You are meeting up with Romeo. One of his business partners wants a gown for her party, and Romeo recommended you to her, so he wants you to meet up with him, so he can give her number to you. But judging from how Romeo has been obsessing over you, I will have it cancelled”
“I will meet up with him” Jane said.
“But ma’am… ”
“It’s business Joyce. Make a reservation at Eves restaurant, I will meet him there. You should contact him and tell him about our meeting place”
“Right on that Ma’am”
“And one more thing, look into Debra McBroom”
“Debra McBroom, who is she?” Joyce asked.
“She is someone from the past that has come to haunt me, but I won’t give her the chance. In order to be on the winning team, I need to be ahead of her” Jane said without any emotions in her face.

≤ ADRIAN’S MANSION ≈ SAME DAY ≥
Isa had a smile on her face as she watch how Kayla advertise Dior’s products on her phone. “She’s really good. How can she be free in front of the cameras. If I was the one, I’d have been scared. Anyways she’s Kayla Meyers so she can do anything” Isa said, laughing like she was watching a comedy.
She was so engrossed on Kayla’s video that she wasn’t aware when Rebecca entered the house, after the maids open the door for her.
“What are you watching, Isa?” She asked, and Isa flinched after hearing Rebecca’s voice. She’s afraid of Rebecca because of the way she always scolds her.
“Grandma” She said in a low voice, locking her phone.
“Why are you just standing there? Aren’t you going to give grandma a hug?” Rebecca asked, smiling.
Isa faked a smile, before hugging her and she sees the maid, carrying her luggages upstairs and Isa broke the hug.
“You brought lot of luggages, are you staying here for long?” Isa asked.
“Yes”
“What about Dashie? It’s a town you’re in control of” Isa said. She wasn’t happy that Rebecca will be staying with them, because she is always going to scold Isa to improve on her facial expressions in front of cameras.
“I can always call to check up on my town. Why does it seem like you aren’t happy that I will be staying here?” Rebecca asked, and Isa faked a smile.
“I’m happy. I have some stuff to arrange for school tomorrow grandma, I will be in my room” Isa said. She took her phone and quickly went to her room.
Rebecca was about climbing the stairs when Debra entered the house furiously. It was still raining, so some of the rain touched her.
“Why are you looking like a mess?” Rebecca asked, when she saw the stains on Debra’s gown.
“Mom! When did you get here?”
“Just now. I wanted to surprise the three of you, but it seems like I was the one who was given a surprise. What happened to you?” She asked.
“It’s all Jane’s fault. She did this to me” Debra said, sniffling.
“You already met Jane?” Rebecca asked.
“Yes I did. She’s so different from the Jane we know Fifteen years ago. She’s rich now and can stand up for herself. I don’t think I can go up against her mom” Debra said.
“Of course you can Debra, and now that I am here, she won’t be able to step on you”
“What are you planning on doing?” Debra asked and Rebecca smirked.

≤ CITY JAIL OF LOS ANGELES ≈ SAME DAY ≥
Kathryn smiled warmly when she looked at the window and it was no longer raining, and she quickly rushed to Grace, who was busy watching an action movie. Even it has been more than a decade, she hasn’t not stopped watching action movies. Even though she was a lady, she can beat her chest and say she has never watch romantic movies since she was born.
“Grace it has stopped raining” Kathryn said smiling. She’s Grace’s friend and also a detective too.
“So?” Grace asked concentrating on the action movie she was watching from her phone.
“What do you mean by so? Have you forgotten a detective from the branch will be joining us today. I hear he is so handsome, and have the bad boy aura” Kathryn said, with excitement.
“He’s so ski||ed in terms of Kung Fu. It will be nice if I learn one or two ski||s from him” Grace said, and Kathryn hits her head.
“Ouch! What’s that for?” Grace asked, pausing her movie.
“I am saying something important and you had to ditch it because of some d@mn movie you are watching”
“It’s the latest blockbuster, you should try it out” Grace said, smiling
“Thanks, but no thanks. Aren’t you curious to see him too?” Kathryn asked.
“No. I don’t care how handsome he is. My job is to keep the country save, not drooling over a guy” Grace said.
“How did we become friends? Because I don’t understand how you and I became friends, because we’re so different from each other” Kathryn said and Grace looked at her.
“Should we become enemies then, so you can speak to me formally as your superior. That will be more better right?” She asked and Kathryn laughed.
“You’re the best, Grace” She said, giving Grace a high thumb up and Grace shook her head, resuming the movie she was watching.
Few minutes later, the door of the station opened, his legs were first seen, before he fully entered the station, and everyone’s jaw dropped on seeing his face, everyone except for Grace, since she was focused on the movie she was watching.
His bad boy aura was spreading around the whole station like wildfire. He was looking extremely Șëx¥ with the ring on his lower lip.
“Good afternoon everyone, My name is Craig Garfunkel, and I am the new recruit Detective” He said and Grace paused her movie to look at him.
“You’re welcome Craig. My name is Kathryn” She said, smiling.
“Thank you Kathryn” He said and his eyes met with Grace. He smiled and winked at her. Grace furrowed her eyebrows immediately.
*What’s his problem? Does he know me?* She muttered inwardly.

⟨ NIGHT ≈ EVES RESTAURANT ⟩
Romeo had a smile on his face when he saw Jane coming twords his table, dressed classily like always.
“Sorry for keeping you waiting Romeo. I had to attend to something” She said and Romeo smiled.
“It’s fine Jane. I can wait for you forever. Your beauty is worth waiting for, that’s why I am ready to wait until you agree to marry me” Romeo said, smiling.
“We are here to talk about business, so I think we should stick to that rather than talking about a marriage that’s never going to happen” Jane said and at the same time, smiling at him.
“Fine, but can I at least get a hug?”
“Romeo McMahon!”
“It’s just a business hug Jane Meyers. Business people hug each other right?” Romeo asked, and Jane sighed. Since Romeo will be giving her a big client, she decided to hug him.
“I already gave you a hug, so can we now talk about your business partner?” Jane asked.
“I will right back Jane. I want to use the restroom, I have been holding my pee, because I wanted to see you first, before anyone in the restaurant does. I will back” Romeo said and quickly left.
Jane was about sitting down when someone clapped his hand from behind. “Bravo, Jane” He said, and Jane sighed recognizing his voice.
“What do you want Adrian? And what are you doing here?” She asked looking at him.
“I came here to meet a client of mine, only to find you here. Is he your new prey?”
“What are you trying to say?” Jane asked.
“Don’t give me that innocent look Jane, because I will not fall for it like I did before. I saw you hugging him Jane”
“What’s your problem if I am hugging him? From what I can remember, we patted ways a long time ago”
“I know that Jane, but I am feeling sorry for him. Aren’t you tired of using man? Must you use men for your own selfish gain!!!” Adrian shouted at her attracting the attention of other people in the restaurant.
Jane look at them and back to Adrian. “Shut up Adrian, you don’t know anything”
“Of course I do Jane. You are nothing but a shameless wh-_-re who use men like they are your puppet. You’re a wh-_-re!!!” Adrian shouted at her, and people began to murmur.
Jane took a glass of wine from the table and splash it on Adrian and everyone gasped. “Up till this everyday I can’t still believe you think low of me Adrian. I thought what we shared years ago was important to you, but now I see that it never meant anything to you. I’m not that kind of woman Adrian, and FYI I only came here because that man you saw earlier has a client who wants her clothes to be made by me, and I only hugged him because it’s business. I h@ťě you so much Adrian!!” She shouted at him before walking out of the restaurant.
“Where’s Jane?” Romeo asked when he came back from the restroom.
“Are you here for a business meeting with Jane Meyers?” Adrian asked.
“Yes I have a client to give to her, where did she go?” Romeo asked, but Adrian ignored his question and went after Jane, and he sees her standing by her car, crying.
“Jane, I am sorry. I only said that because I felt jealous when I saw you hugging that man”
Jane cleaned her tears and said. “You have no reason to be jealous Adrian, because we are no longer together. I’m a wh-_-re right? I accept it” Jane said trying to enter her car.
“Jane” He said, holding her hand, but Jane slapped him so hard on the face. “You have no right to touch me Adrian. You said I used right, I will give you back the money you spent on my eye surgery and even triple it, so you can stop calling me names”
“Jane, I didn’t mean to call you a wh-_-re” Adrian said, but Jane entered her car and drove off. Adrian watch as Jane leaves with her car.
“Jane” He muttered her name, as tears slowly crept out from his eyes
