★(Apologies)★
“You can come to the bed,” Summer muttered and smiled.
“I don’t think that would be a good idea but thank you for the offer” Jake smiled.
“I don’t bite,” Summer grinned and faced the ceiling.
“That should be my line” Jake beamed and repositioned his pillow on the couch.
“Come” Summer insisted and patted her side.“I feel cold and tired”
Jake sighed. His wolf got super excited when close to her and he had the urge to mark her. He wasn’t sure about marking her because she was human.
“Fine,” Jake muttered and grabbed his pillow. He walked to the bed and laid down beside her.
“Tell me more about yourself” Jake beamed. “I promise to tell you about myself”
“I didn’t know my mom because she got missing after my birth and dad raised me single handedly and that’s most of my life” Summer replied and covered him with the duvet.
“Thanks.”Jake smiled.
“It’s your turn,” Summer said.
“I have been with my parents almost all my life but we left our pack because father had issues there. I lost dad and that has been the saddest occurrence in my life” Jake’s face saddened as he recalled his dad.
Summer felt a pang in her chest, she wished that a day would come when she would muster courage and speak the truth to Jake. She still felt guilty for the death of his father.
“I’m sorry” Her voice quivered.
“I will always remember him but I realised that he would want me to be fulfilled rather than being sad and bitter” Jake said with a smile.
“He has always been a mirthful person and…”
“I’m sorry” Summer said, teary eyed and hugged him tightly.
Jake was startled by the sudden hug but he loved that she was free around him even after knowing his nature.
“Thanks for staying with me” Jake muttered and embraced as well. Their bodies were close to each other and or sent shivers down both their spines.
Jake became more eager to claim her as his mate.
“I will stay with you because I like you, be my boyfriend,” Summer said, burying her face shyly into his chest.
“W-what??, I’m supposed to ask not you” Jake chuckled.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” Jake requested.
“Yes, I will be your girlfriend and mate” Summer snickered and it made Jake happy.

Gwen stopped on her tracks and turned back.
“What do you want?!” Gwen yelled at Ricardo who had been following her.
“I just want to apologise,” Ricardo muttered. She had marked him and her emotions were now his.
Anytime she felt angry, hurt, sorrowful, happy. He would feel every emotion because that’s all the mating bond is about.
“Apologise?I don’t need your apology. Keep it for the fool who decided to save your miserable life” Gwen yelled and walked away.
Ricardo pressed forward and grabbed her arm, she was about to slap him again but he caught her wrist before it could reach his face.
“I’m sorry for hurting your feelings, I was simply confused. I also apologise for being ungrateful towards you” Ricardo apologised and released her wrist.
“It’s all too shocking to be a human one minute and the next minute a supernatural being. I always knew that I was different but–”
Ricardo sighed and pocketed his hands.
“Am I forgiven?”
“Err…what?” Gwen was distracted by his beautiful silver eyes and his pink lips.
“Am I forgiven?”
“No” Gwen shook her head.Ricardo gave her a surprising and quick kiss on the lips.
Ricardo walked away before she came back to her senses. Gwen touched her lips and it felt so surreal.
“He just kissed me,” Gwen giggled.
“He kissed me”

Myles’ penthouse>
“Myles” Lola did the CPR again but he wasn’t waking up.
She almost left him in the pool but then she recalled the times he was nice and their s*xual moments together. She couldn’t be so heartless even to this monster.
Lola gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. She did it twice and Myles coughed out water.
“Myles” Lola called softly and rubbed his back with her hand.
Myles coughed out water for some seconds and Lola assisted him to the other side of the pool.
“Are you okay?” Lola asked.
Myles stared at her and nodded positively.
“I thought I had died” Myles coughed and smiled. He actually couldn’t believe that he was so close to death.
Lola sat on the floor and stared at him.
“I thought that I wouldn’t be able to see my Sunshine again” Myles gasped and coughed.
“You are fine and I don’t think you are dying anytime,”Lola muttered.
She was unhappy that she missed her only chance of getting her freedom but she couldn’t hurt him.
” You saved me “Myles whispered, staring at her in amazement.
“Obviously”
“You’ve saved me twice,” Myles grinned.
“I told you that I wanted to die at that time” Lola said.
“You saved me even when I don’t deserve it” Myles said, he suddenly got emotional. “I have done so much hurtful things to you, I…I r*ped you and hit you; I’ve caused you so much pain ”
His words were bringing awful memories that made Lola regret saving him from drowning.
” Lolita “Myles called softly and held her hand.
“I’m sorry for hurting you, I know sorry won’t cut it but I am just a hurt man who wants to keep hurting those around him because they don’t feel his pain.”
Lola was shocked to hear him apologising.
“Lola,I’m sorry for being heartless, forgive me” Myles muttered, full of regrets.
He cupped her face in his hands. Lola simply stared at him with tears in her eyes.
“I’m sorry…”
