CHAPTER 27⚔️28
The car sank deep into the ocean and Evelyn held tightly onto Charles.
They tried to get out of the car but the door was locked and they couldn’t get out.Water kept on entering the car and they were drowning in a moment.
She heard a sound and when she turned she saw that Charles had already broke the car window and more water rushed in.
They hurriedly got out of the car and swam up.They needed to get out of the water as soon as possible because they were out of oxygen.
Charles swam as fast as he could holding Evelyn’s hand tightly.He wouldn’t allow anything happen to her no matter what.
They swam for a couple of minutes before they got to the river bank.They got out both breathing heavily as they laid on the dry ground.
“Are you okay?”asked Charles as he stared at Evelyn and she nodded.
They sat there for a while before Charles stood up and brushed off the dirt on his body.
“Let’s go”said Charles and Evelyn stared at him questioningly.
“To where?”she asked as she stood up.
“There must be someone here in the forest maybe a small village.Lets just go,it is not like we can just sit here anyway besides we need a change of clothes.These ones are wet and we might catch a cold.”said Charles as he went into the bush while Evelyn followed.
They kept on walking in the deep forest till it got dark and Charles’s feet were hurting already.He turned to look at Evelyn and it felt like she wasn’t feeling any pain at all.
“Are you tired?”asked Charles.
“No,am not.Walking a few miles can’t wear me out.”said Evelyn with a smile but Charles didn’t believe her.He bent before her and tapped his back.
“What are you doing?”asked Evelyn.
“Get on my back.I will give you a piggy ride.”said Charles but Evelyn refused.
He dragged her forcefully and put her on her back.
“I don’t know why you must say “no” to everything”said Charles as he kept walking with Evelyn in his back.
“That’s a lie,I don’t say “no” to everything”said Evelyn.
“Really??Tell me what you have said ‘yes’ to”asked Charles.
“I said ‘yes’ when you offered to take me out and also I said ‘yes’ when……”she paused and brought her lips closer to his ear”I also told you ‘yes’ when you asked if I love you.”said Evelyn quietly and Charles’s heart skipped.
“Do you really mean that?”asked Charles as he stopped on his track.
“Yes but if you don’t believe me I can repeat myself.I love you very much,Charles.”said Evelyn and Charles felt his heart jumped out of his chest.
He missed a step and fell making Evelyn roll over.
“Ouch,you could have dropped me down if you were tired.”yelled Evelyn as she held her knee in pain.
“Am sorry”Charles said hysterically.
“That’s a lie.You probably fell because you were shocked by my confession.”said Evelyn and Charles chuckled nervously.
“I can see it”Evelyn screamed as she jumped up pointing to a particular direction.Charles stared and saw nothing.
“What?I can’t see anything.”said Charles.
“Come with me.There is a hut ahead.”said Evelyn as she pulled Charles.
They walked for a while before they got to a hut.Charles looked back at how far they walked and he shook his head in amazement as he stared at Evelyn.She had a very good eyesight to be able to see the hut from a far distance.
Evelyn turned her head and her eyes met with that of Charles.While under the ocean,she made up her mind to be with him forever if possible.She wasnt going to ki|| him and she was ready to fight for him.
She was well-aware that her decision could lead to death so she planned on spending quality time with him and expressing her love to him in every way she could.
“Why are you staring at me?Am I too beautiful that you can’t take your eyes off me?”asked Evelyn as she pulled Charles closer.
Charles pulled away and cleared his throat.He didn’t know why his body felt hot all of sudden.Come to think of it,Evelyn’s behaviour as changed for the past few hours.She had became more outspoken and her behaviour was making him nervous.
He went into the hut and Evelyn followed.They met a bed and a blanket in the hut.
“Seems like the hut also knows we are couples”Evelyn giggled happily.
Charles stared at her and decided to play with her a bit.
“Yes,darling then I guess we would be making a baby tonight”said Charles as he moved towards Evelyn till her back hit the wall.
He wrapped his hands round her waist as he pulled her closer and he moved his lips to her neck.
“What do you think,Eve?How many should we make tonight?”teased Charles as he trailed wet kisses down her neck.
Evelyn bit her lips in regret.She shouldn’t have acted crazy to him if she knew he was this naughty.Was he crazy to ask them to make babies when they just started dating.
