“What the hell are you doing here,Michael?”yelled Charles and Michael smirked evilly.He loved the way Charles was reacting.
“You are late for the meeting,sir and the shareholders are about to leave.”said Michael and Charles gasped.
Charles stared at Evelyn and he could say that she had so much impact on him.He had never been late for a meeting before.
“Let’s go”said Charles as he left the office and Evelyn followed with Michael tagging behind.
(One week later)
Evelyn and Charles had been getting along quite well both at home and in the office.
Lady Alicia had made sure not to create a scene in front of Evelyn to protect Charles’s face.
Evelyn stared at Charles as he worked on the files on his table.She was tired of sitting down and she needed to take a walk but she didn’t think Charles’s will approve it.
She gently approached him while thinking of a way to tell it to him
“What do you want?”Charles asked as he looked at her and she scratched her head nervously.
“Am not doing anything at the moment so I want talk a short walk.I promise I will be quick.Please Charles”said Evelyn and Charles stared at her in amusement.
“Is this your first job?”asked Charles and Evelyn nodded affirmatively.
“Let me explain this to you carefully,You are my bodyguard and you are to be with me 24/7 no matter what.There are no breaks nor time to go for a walk.”said Charles and Evelyn sighed sadly.
“But I might let you go on one condition”said Charles and Evelyn’s eyes widened.
“What condition?”asked Evelyn and Charles stood up and stayed before her.
“You have to call me ‘sir’ everytime and everywhere.Come to think of it,am not just your boss.I am also far older than you”said Charles and Evelyn huffed.
“Says who?.How old are you?”asked Evelyn with her hands folded across her chest.
“Am 28yrs”replied Charles with a raised eyebrow.Evelyn gasped and she bit her lips nervously.He was about 6yrs older yet she had called him by his name with no respect yet she wasn’t willing to give in.
“Ok,let’s say you are older but we are friends,right?.We don’t have to be formal with each other.You call me by my name then why can’t I call you by yours?”asked Evelyn as she stared directly into his eyes.
“Friends??Really?”asked Charles as he stared at her in amusement.
“Yes,why don’t we give each other pet names if you feel uncomfortable with me calling you by your name.I will call you Charlie so you can choose a name for me”said Evelyn and Charles’s eyes darkened but he covered it up.
Apart from his parents and lady Alicia no one else called him Charlie but he somehow felt like that name was meant for Evelyn alone to call him.
“Okay,Eve”said Charles and Evelyn smiled widely.
“So now that we are officially friends,can we go out for a walk pls?”said Evelyn as she blinked her eyes cutely and Charles bursted into laughter.
“Let’s go”said Charles and Evelyn screamed loudly as she hopped forward beaming happily while Charles followed with a wide smile on his face.
