CHAPTER 13⚔️14
Evelyn followed Mr.Gabriel as he showed her different exits and hide outs in the company.She stared at him in surprise.He knew everything and everywhere in the company like the back of his hands and he didn’t even need a map.
“Your sole aim is to protect the CEO even at the cost of your own life.Any harm that comes upon him will be blamed on you and you will take full responsibility for it.”said Mr.Gabriel and Evelyn nodded.
“Here’s your gun and it is fully loaded with bullets.You will be given another set of bullet after a month”said Mr.Gabriel as he handed over a gun to Evelyn but she didn’t want it.
“Please sir,may I use my own gun? I am accustomed to it and it feels strange when I use another gun”said Evelyn.There was no way she was going to replace Cherrie with another gun.
“Suit yourself.You can go back to the Ceo’s office now.Make sure he doesn’t leave your sight and always be vigilant”added Mr.Gabriel as he withdrawed his hand and Evelyn nodded again.
She turned and headed to the Ceo’s office.
“Make sure you mind the way you speak to the CEO.You can’t speak to him casually like you did today.Others might misunderstand”said Mr.Gabriel and Evelyn didn’t bother to turn back or give a reply.
Charles was almost done working when Evelyn came in.He looked at her for a while before going on with his work.
Evelyn sat on the couch and watched him work.Everything about him was admirable.Hr wasn’t only handsome and rich,he was also hardworking.
Charles quickly finished what he was doing and packed up the files.He saw Evelyn sitting comfortably on the chair and he shook his head in pity.
He doesn’t allow his guards to sit down at all.It was their job to stand beside him while he worked but this lady is sitting comfortably while he worked his @zz off.
“Let’s go”Charles said as he moved towards the door and Evelyn followed suit.
They got into the elevator and Evelyn was curious about where they were going to.
“Where are we going,sir?”asked Evelyn making sure she tilted the “sir” in the sentence.
Charles looked at her and scoffed.
“We are going to my house.You have to be shown everywhere in the house too.”said Charles and Evelyn nodded thoughtfully.
They got to the car park and Evelyn opened the back door for Charles and he entered while she made to enter too.
“You are going to be seating at the front beside me”she heard from behind and when she turned she met with the most captivating eyes ever.
A very handsome tall man was standing with his hands in his pockets.Everything about him was attractive but admirable.
“Snap out of it.We have to go”said the man as he snapped his fingers at her face.
Evelyn chuckled in embarrassment and quickly got into the car.
Charles was watching all from the car and he couldn’t help but get angry.He was so angry that she was looking at another man the way she looked at him.
He wanted those looks to be for him alone.
Evelyn kept on stealing glances at the handsome man beside her but he was just focused on driving and nothing else
She felt an attachment to him but not as much as she felt to Charles.At the thought of him,she turned and saw his eyes boiling in anger and she wondered what happened to him.
The car stopping and she came out of it.She moved to open the door for Charles when he pushed the door harshly almost injuring her hand.He glared at her coldly before stepping out.
Evelyn was surprised by the sudden change in mood but she said nothing.He walked towards the main building and she just stared at his back.
“Aren’t you going with him?”asked the handsome man and she felt herself looking into his eyes and getting charmed again.
“You are lost again.How can you be this dumb?”asked the handsome man as he shook Evelyn’s body and she snapped our of her trance.
“Am Evelyn Sylvester,the new bodyguard”saw Evelyn as she stretched her hand out for handshake.
“That’s right,we haven’t had a proper introduction.I am Martins Stallone,the driver to the CEO.we will be meeting often.”said Martins as he shook her hand.
“Do you live here also?”asked Evelyn and he nodded.
“See you around then”Evelyn added as she ran after Charles.
Charles’s anger leveled up as he saw them shook hands and he suddenly felt like firing Martins but that would be unfair.
He glared at Evelyn coldly as she approached him.He knew his anger wasn’t justified but he couldn’t control it.
“You shouldn’t leave my side from a second which means having useless talks and engaging in stupid introductions isn’t allowed”said Charles and Even nodded though she found it confusing.
They got into the main house and Evelyn was shown to her room by a maid.
She got inside and was amazed.The room was more like the rooms always designed for Barbie and she sighed softly.
It seemed like she had a lot of changes to make in the room because she wasn’t a fan of all those things.
