★Lucas’ Mansion★
“Are you telling me that my mother wants me dead? Mia asked the maid boiling in anger.
She took the hot tea that was placed on the dish and splashed it on her.
Ella cried out in pain.
Mr and Mrs Lucas ran inside the seating when they heard her noise.
Mia !,Mrs Lucas shouted and ran closer to the maid.
Mia scoffed and started clapping her hands together.
Is she more important to you than your own daughter? Mia asked
You know me well, and I don’t tolerate your bad attitudes.
How could you pour hot tea on her? Are you out of your mind?” Mrs Lucas shouted
Leave her alone, “Mr Lucas said.
Stay out of this, like father, like daughter, “Mrs Lucas said.
Nico walked downstairs with his backpack.
She is Mia’s younger brother. ”she has started again”He mumbled under his breath.
“I have started to think that you actually asked her to add ginger to my food when you know I’m allergic to it.
“The food is not meant for you, “Mrs. Lucas said.
“I don’t want to meet her when I’m back. Mia said
She took her bag and stormed out.
“Help her clean up, “Mrs. Lucas said to the other maid.
One of them helped Ella to the maid yard.
★Declan’s Mansion★
Everyone was present at the dining except Lia.
Mr Declan looked around before he spoke up.
“Where is Lia?” Mr Declan asked
“She is in her ” Pearl said
“Why don’t you call her?” Mr Declan asked
“We did. She said she was not hungry. “Bluey said
“Why ?” Mr Declan asked
“How do you expect them to know they are not her servant?” Mrs Declan said she was getting annoyed by his questions.
“That doesn’t mean, she is also your daughter, Mr Declan said.
“She is not my daughter, and she can never be.
“I told you to take her away before I send her to where her parents are, Mrs Declan said.
Lia was at the entrance, hearing everything they were saying.
She wiped the tears from her face and walked out.
“I’m going to class, “she said with a nervous smile.
“What is the use of education? Why don’t you get her married?
It will fetch us a lot of money, “Mrs Declan suggested.
“Emily !!” Mr. Declan shouted
Lia ran out of the house in tears. Not long after, the weather changed and rain started falling.
“You can never change. What did she ever do to you?” Mr Declan asked and walked out of the dining room.
Lia walked into the rain with a heavy heart.
She remembered everything Mrs Declan said.
And tears start to fall down her cheeks.
“Can I keep going? “Do I have to live like this? Why do Iike I’m the only one suffering?
“This is not what I dream of”,Lia thought.
She was in such deep thought that she didn’t realize that a car was horning.
“Who the hell is she?” Wyatt said
“She is lost, “Atlas said, staring at Lia.
“If she wants to die,she should find someplace better.” Wyatt said and drove the car roughly
Lia came back to her senses, and that was when she noticed that she was on the road.
She tried to move away when she saw Wyatt car driving towards her, but her leg slipped.
“She fell to the ground and hit her head on the road.
Wyatt drove past her, splashing water on her.
“Stop the car, “Atlas said.
“Why?” Wyatt asked
“Just stop it, “Atlas said.
“What is going on? Do you remember that we are going to school?” Wyatt asked and stepped on the brake
“Do you realize you have injured her?” Atlas replied back with questions.
“What ? Do you ask me to stop the car because of her?” Wyatt asked
“This is unlike you, “Wyatt said.
“You can go to school; I will meet you, “Atlas said. He picked up the umbrella from the back seat and got down.
Lia was still sitting on the ground, crying bitterly.
“Are you okay?” She heard someone’s voice.
She raised her head to see the person standing in front of her.
Atlas could not see her face since it had been covered with her hair.
“Do you plan on sitting here all day?” Atlas asked
“Why am I doing this?” He thought, staring at her.
“Thank you, but it would be more appropriate if you go.” Lia said
“What ?” Atlas exclaimed
“Do you want to die? I can make it easy for you. Atlas said
“Let me be. Why is everyone after me? Why?” “Mia shouted in frustration.
Atlas felt hurt for the for the first time in his life. He looked at the way she was crying bitterly.
He removed his jacket and covered her with it
“You just have to live your life and ignore what others say. That is the only way you can live, “Atlas said.
“Not everyone deserves your tears
He dropped the umbrella beside her and left.
★Atlantic High School★
Mia drove in and got down; everyone left the way for her.
No one wants to get on her bad side. Sharon and Bella moved as close to her as they could when they saw her coming.
“Why the frown face ?” Bella asked
“Get out of my way, “Mia said.
Bella and Sharon looked at each other and kept quiet.
Mia headed towards the basketball court and changed her clothes.
“What’s wrong with her?” Sharon asked no one in particular.
“Just keep shut ;Okay?” Bella said
“If you can’t help here, then get out of my sight, “Mia said.
“You did not tell us what happened. How do you expect us to help?” Sharon asked
Mia glared at her before she took the ball.
She threw the ball towards them. Sharon and Bella screamed and held their heads, expecting the worst.
They opened their eyes when they didn’t feel anything.
“What are you doing here?” Mia asked Nico
Who was holding the ball? He was the one who caught the ball.
“Just passing by,”Nicole said with a smirk.
★Lucas’ Mansion★
The doctor that came to attend to Ella walked out when he was done.
“Are you okay?” One of the maids asked
But she didn’t say a word; they all walked out so that she could rest.
Ella stood up as soon as they closed the door.
She smiled and removed the mask she was putting on, showing her real face.
“First move successful. I can’t wait for the downfall of Luca’s family, she said, laughing hysterically.
“It is good to be here. First,first I have to earn their trust, then I will begin my move ” she said with evil smile.
