“I’m so tired!” Sapphire said and stretched her hands.
Derek walked upstairs to his room and closed the door behind. He removed his shoes and kept it aside then removed his shirt and tossed it on the bed.
He walked into his bathroom and took a quick bath before wearing his black short, shirtless.
He sat down on his seat and began his work. Well since today he didn’t go to work, he had a bunch of work to cover up for tonight.
Sapphire walked out of the bathroom with a towel tied round her body. She picked one of her night wear and put it on then wore her flip flops before walking out of her room.
“Ma’am the dinner is ready” The maid said to Sapphire.
“Alright, I’ll go look for Derek” She said and took the direction to his room.
She knocked on his door and waited for some seconds.
“Come in” He said.
She opened the door and walked in then met him on his laptop as usual. She found herself staring at his face.
Now that I look closely, he is really handsome Sapphire thought.
Derek turned to her and she quickly diverted her gaze off from his face.
“Uhm, dinner is ready” She said.
“Alright, Will be down in some minutes” He replied.
She then looked round his room and could see some of his pictures when he was small hanging on the wall.
He walked up to one and touched it. It seems like it was a picture of him and Louis.
“I was 6 back then and Louis was 5. It was on the day of his fifth anniversary” Derek spoke from behind her.
“You look cute together” She said. Her mind then drifted to the proposition Louis made to her. She quickly shrugged the thought away and then turned back. Her gaze locked with that of Derek.
Will she really bring herself to betray Derek? If Derek accept to sign the papers does she really wants to divorce him? Does she still love Louis?
All these thoughts kept running through her mind. Derek on the other hand also had some thoughts running through his mind too.
If he accepts to give love a second chance will she be able to love him? How sure is he that he won’t get hurt in the end? What will Louis say if he falls for her?
They both diverted their Gaze. Derek walked to his closet and picked up a shirt then wore it. They both then walked out of the room.
Sapphire settled down on her seat same as Derek. Food was served to them and they began eating in silence as different thoughts preoccupied their minds.

Louis was seen sitting in a bar. Bottles of alcohol laid in front of him. He was still dealing with one.
Yesterday, he talked to his father and asked him to cancel their marriage but he refused. That baffled him.. Right now, the plan he had with Sapphire I the only plan that could work.

“Hello pretty boy. Mind if I keep you company” She said and sat down near her.
Louis looked at her with drunk eyes. His vision wasn’t seeing clearly again. To him, it was Sapphire who was sitting near him.

He stood up with them still kissing as they walked into the club. They opened the door to an empty room and stumbled into it.

He caressed her cheek and then touched her lips. He then found himself leaning closer to her.
As he was about to kiss her… He stopped then pulled away and stood up.
“Guess my heart made the choice for me already. I know I’m crazy…falling for someone within one week of marriage” He said inwardly and then began walking out of her room.
He paused and then turned back to her then smiled.
“I hope all these will be worth it” He mumbled and walked out of her room, closing the door behind.
Next Morning ??*.����.
Sapphire opened her eyes and sat up on the bed then let out a light yawn. She climbed down her bed and then headed to her bathroom while rubbing her eyes.
She brushed her teeth and then ran the shower. She then took a warm long and relaxing bath.
After her bath, she got dressed into a black jeans with white top and black leather jacket. She brushed her hair and allowed it to fall freely then applied a red lipstick on her lip and some other makeup.
Well today is Saturday and it’s still her free day but she has an appointment with Yolanda for her memory lost issues.
Once she finished getting dressed, she walked out of her room heading downstairs. A maid was coming towards her. She immediately frowned as she was Sapphire coming.
Well there are some maids who don’t like idea of her staying here in this house.
The maid walked towards her and then knowingly pushed her. Sapphire found herself falling but suddenly a strong arm pulled her up.
Sapphire gasped as Derek pulled her up. Derek then glared at the maid.
“I’m so sorry ma”
“Shut up and come with me” Derek said and began walking to a direction. The maid followed behind while trembling.
Derek opened the door to an abandoned room. The room was super huge and super dusty
“Clean this room” He said.
“Yes Master” She replied.
“With a toothbrush” Derek finished which made the maid look at him in shock.
“Clean this room with a toothbrush and by time I get Back home and still see a single dust in here, you’ll clean it with your tongue” He said and began walking away.
He stopped midway.
“Also never you dare mess with my wife again. Warn your miserable colleagues too” Derek said and walked away.
He entered the dining room and saw her eating. He walked to his seat and sat down. Sapphire looked up at him. She never knew he could be this heartless. Does that mean he’s very lenient with her?
“Look like you’re going somewhere” Derek spoke.
“Yeah, I have an appointment with my doctor, you know for my memory lost issues” Sapphire said.
“Alright, let me drop you” Derek said and stood up.
Sapphire looked at him in surprise. Why is he suddenly nice like this. It’s scaring her.
“Okay, thanks…” Sapphire replied while looking at him.
They walked out of the house and Derek entered his car, same as Emile. Emile drove off to the hospital where Sapphire works.
She made to get down the car but Derek held her hand. She looked at him.
“Not even a goodbye to me” He said.
“Goodbye….” Sapphire said awkwardly still looking at him suspiciously.
“Goodbye little wifey” Derek said and winked.
“Wifey” She exclaimed in confusion.
“Yes, or you prefer I call you my love” Derek asked.
Sapphire opened the door and came out.
“I think you should rest for some hours again. Working excessively isn’t good for you” Sapphire said and closed the door.
Emile got down the car too since he was her bodyguard. All along, he was laughing silently at their cassava love.
Derek sat on the driver’s seat and then drove off. Sapphire turned to walk in but stopped as she saw someone.
“Louis…” She called.
