I smiled warmly at Ryan’s parent. If not for the conflict between our families, I am very sure that I and Ryan would have been close friends from our child hood. I wish I am here as Layla not Vicky. After eating with Ryan’s amazing family, I and Ryan stood up to go but as I was about to leave the room, Ryan’s mum hugged me and she told me to visit them often that they love my company. Ryan’s dad smiled at me and bade me good bye. When I and Ryan got into the car, he smiled at me.
“Thanks so much Layla, you just prevented me from marrying that pompous girl” Ryan said.
“It is okay Ryan, but I need your help in planning my revenge” I said and he smiled.
“Layla, I don’t think it is necessary to get a revenge, just forgive and forget” He said to my disappointment.
“Really, you selfish creature, I did all I can to set you free from Mira and now that I need your help all you can tell me is that I should forgive and forget. You are saying that I should forgive those people that are after my life” I said and I was about to get out of the car when he dragged me back.
“I am so sorry Layla, I was only joking and I don’t mean what I said earlier” He said and I angrily slapped him.
“If you want to joke with anyone’s life, joke with yours nor other peoples own” I said and he stared at me in a confused manner.
“Layla but I thought we are friends and besides we always joke everytime so I don’t understand why you are taking this personal” He said but I only glared at him.
“Take me home or I will board a taxi” I said and he stared at me for a while before driving.

When Ryan drove into my compound, I saw Kylie sitting at the garden. I muttered a thanks to Ryan and I was about to get out when I remembered the mask. Thanks fully, Ryan’s car is tinted so Kylie can’t see me. I took off the mask and I threw it at Ryan.
He was about to say something but I shut him up with a glare. I don’t cars about what he might be thinking but all I know is that this is the end of the friendship between us. I got out of his car and he drove out of my compound. I walked towards Kylie and unlike before that I would feel happy seeing him but all I feel for him now is pure hatred. He hugged me and and I forced myself to hug him back and he was about to kiss me but I cleverly dodged him and he gave me a confused stare.
“What is wrong with you Layla? Why are you behaving strange and who brought you home?” He asked and I faked a smile.
“Kylie, I am very sorry but I feel tired and weak” I said
“Layla, let go in” He said and we were about to go inside when a car drove in and Stephanie came out of the car while dragging her suitcase.
Kylie gave me a confused stare and I smiled nervously. I rushed to Stephanie and I hugged her.
“Oh Layla,you must have missed me so much” Stephanie said and I smiled
“Let us go in” I said and I beckoned on Kylie.
We walked into the living room and I took Stephanie’s bag to the guest room and I was about to go back to the living room when I overheard Kylie and Stephanie’s discussion.
“Why are you here with your luggages?” Kylie asked Stephanie.
“Boss asked me to come here so that I can monitor Layla’s movement and I might get hold of her property document” Stephanie said.
“That is good but you need to be careful and I have a news for you. Alicia is pregnant and I am so excited” Kylie said
“Wow that is great but is she still here?” Stephanie asked.
“No, I asked her to leave so I can concentrate on my mission” Kylie said and they both kept quiet.
I felt sad after hearing that Alicia is pregnant for Kylie and Stephanie seems happy about it. Now my hatred for her has increased. I walked back to my room and I took the bottled substance. I walked to the kitchen and I emptied the whole substance into a glass of milk. I walked back to the living room and i gave Stephanie the milk and she drank the whole content.
Now let wait and see who is more smarter.
?Ryan Pov?
When I got to my house, I began to think about what happened between me and Layla. But why did she get angry like that?? Is my statement hurtful??. I would have tried to apologize to her but she don’t even want to talk to me. I think I need the help of my twin sisters now so they can help me apologize to her.
But wait, why am I even behaving this way or have I fallen for her?. No it can’t be, I only like her as a friend. I need to do something. I am missing her already.
