“Good morning, Mom” Amelia greeted taking her seat
She’s all dressed up and she had a backpack with her. Beatrice was setting the food on the table already
“How was your night?”
“It was fine” Amelia muttered
“Have you returned the money?” Beatrice said, that’s exactly what she’s scared of… she didn’t think her Mom will still remember
“I’ll return it today” She answered
“Look here Amy, Don’t see me as someone wicked, I’m only trying to correct you. When you are wrong, you have to be reprimanded… What you did wasn’t right and I had to correct you. Return the money to wherever it came from, we are not beggers, right?” Beatrice said taking her by her hand
“I totally understand what you mean, Mom but you should have let me explain. It hurts when you don’t believe me, I’m not a wh-_-re…. I just got the money somehow but it’s fine, I’ll definitely return it”
“Good morning Mom ” Ciara muttered taking her seat
“Am I invincible now? aren’t you suppose to greet me too?” Amelia joked
Ciara raised her head to look at her then faced her food without a word
” What’s wrong? ”
” I’m still grounded.. I can’t watch movies, I’ll be the one to do the dishes, I didn’t even go to School “Ciara bursted out
” It’s all for your good and mind you, the boy you have a crush on… avoid him, don’t even act like you know him, ki|| that feeling you are to young for stuff like that”
” It’s not like I want to confess to him, I was just expressing how I was feeling, something I’m not sure it will last” Ciara rolled her eyes
Well unlike Amelia, Ciara is a bold type and very outspoken.
” Eat fast if you don’t want to be late”

AVIL HIGH SCHOOL**
” Hey Ciara, what’s up? I didn’t see you in school, What happened? ” Marvell asked, placing her arm on Ciara’s shoulder.
Marvell is Ciara’s seatmate and also best friend
” I got grounded”
” How are you coping with your Mom? why did she ground you? I should have visited but I was sacred of your Mom ”
” It’s fine, I’m in school now”
They entered the class and settled down, Marvell brought out a book
“You didn’t do your assignment?”
“I was on call with Jimmy throughout yesterday, I totally forgot about the assignment, I’m sure he didn’t do his too”
“Speaking of Jimmy, he’s not in school yet” Ciara uttered scanning the class with her eyes. Her gaze locked with Oliver and her heart started beating fast
“$h|t, not again” she cursed looking away quickly
Are you okay?” Marvell asked, with a pout
Ciara nodded inhaling hard
Just then Jimmy came in
“Good morning girls, welcome back to school, Ciara” he said with a smile
“Have you done your assignment?”
“My brother did it for me, isn’t he sweet?” Jimmy said bringing out his assignment note. He gave it to Marvell
“Should I copy it? I don’t have anyone to do mine for me, will you let your girlfriend get punished” Marvell said cutely, blinking her eyes repeatedly
“You are free to, babe” Jimmy said giving her a peck
“Awwn, I love you!”
“Tsk…. I’m being oppressed here” Ciara voiced out
“Like seriously, then get a boyfriend” Marvell said tapping her lightly on her cheek
“You better start writing the assignment, the teacher will be here any time from now”
“Can you help me with it?” Marvell said
“With what? your assignment? is there anything you can do? you always want someone to help you with everything”
“What!!! it’s just because you are fast in writing that’s why I wanted to give it to you, I don’t want your help anymore…. I’ll do it myself” Marvell scoffed turning back to what she was doing
“It’s not like I wanted to help you” Ciara retorted making Marvell turn to look at her
“Are you seriously saying that? You won’t help me?……Fine, Ciara, can you help me with my assignment?”
“That’s what you should I’ve said” Ciara replied taking the book from her
“I love you so much”
“Geez, say that to Jimmy not me”
“That’s right.. Jimmy, I love you!!” Marvell said for enough for him to hear
“Same pinch, Doll” he winked
“You both are crazy”

BLITZ COLLEGE**
” God please, I pray my name is there. I can’t afford to lose this opportunity ” Amelia muttered with her eyes closed
She brought out her phone, the result of the scholarship exam has been posted and scholarship has been given to just five people
“Excuse me, can you help me with something?” she said to a student who was passing by
The person glared at her before moving away
“Bleached duck, your make up is horrible, monster descendant” Amelia said walking away quickly
The i turned but couldn’t find her again
“Where did she go to?” She wondered , well… if she had seen her, she would have thought her a lesson
Amelia sat down on a bench, looking around. The students were all dressed expensively alighting from luxurious cars. They all had make up on and that proud look on their faces.
“Will I be able to cope?” She muttered to herself
“May I sit down?” someone said behind her making her flinch
She turned to look at the person. Her gaze meet with a boy, handsome can’t describe him enough, his brown eyes sparkled as they stared at her.
“Hey” He called waving his hand
“Oh…sure,, you.. you can sit” She stammered unconsciously. She blamed herself that instant, why did she get lost staring at a boy’s face
“Thanks, are you a student here? I haven’t seen you around” The boy said taking his seat
“Well…. I’m… I wrote the scholarship examination” Amelia said
“What the hell is wrong with me? why am I stammering? she said inwardly
” The result is out, you haven’t checked yours?”
“I’m yet to check it” She said competing myself
“Why? ….Oh, I understand, you are scared of checking it. I can help you with it” The boy offered stretching his hand for her phone
“What should I do? My phone” She said to herself.
The screen of her phone is cracked and it’s even an old model
“I can do it myself” she muttered
“I insist”
He dragged the phone from her
“By the way, I’m Martins and you are?”
“Amelia” She replied slowly
“Nice name for an angel” He winked and she felt her cheeks heating up
“You didn’t pass, you scored below the pass mark” He said, he had a sad look on
“I was hoping we’ll be friends once you start attending this school but…” he added
“No… that’s not possible, I studied d@mn hard….the questions were easy, I’m suppose to pass” Anelia muttered snatching the phone from Martins, tears had filled her eyes already
“I was just joking, you passed. You are officially a student of Blitz College and a friend of cute Martins” He said struggling her hair
“I wouldn’t be able to take it if I fail” She smiled, the tears rolled down her cheek
“No no, pretty girls aren’t suppose to cry” He said wiping her tears with his hand
“Thanks a lot” Amelia said
“Look forward to seeing you, you’ll resume tomorrow, right?”
“Sure, mind if I get your contact? I’m worried I’ll get lost by tomorrow, I’ll give you a call” she said nervously, bitting her lower lips
“I was about saying that”
They exchanged digits
“Good bye, I’ll take my leave now and thanks a lot ” Amelia said
“You are welcome, pretty” He smiled
“I’ll lead to the gate, did you come with your car?” he said linking hands with her
“No… I..”
“Let’s go” he said cutting her off

“Is this the place?” Amelia said taking a look at the building in front of her
“Why do you like asking such questions? This is not the place, it is a garden. Tsk, so dumb” Jewel scoffed
“Rhetorical question” Amelia said
“Rheto…. what!!? what do you mean? what’s that?”
“Questions that does not deserve an answer they are called rhetorical questions” Amelia lectured
“I don’t remember asking you for your opinion” Jew rolled her eyes
“Don’t you think you should employ me to be your home teacher? I’m quite good you know” Amelia said with a wink
“I would rather visit a club and spend money till I’m red than to get lectured again. Staying in the class is so boring”
“Can we go in now? I have a shift by 4”
They both entered the orphanage and they meet someone they didn’t even expect
“My Oppa” Jewel gasped…. she fainted in the next minute
“Jewel, what’s wrong?” Amelia called worriedly, taping her cheek slightly
“Leave me alone, I’ve fainted already” Jewel said opening one of her eyes, she shut it back immediately
