Stephanie continued with her lesson while Gideon went upstairs and showered then he went into the room where he once locked Stephanie.
It’s being a while he came here. He sat on the chair near the piano and began to play.
He closed his eyes and images of Cali flashed in his head. The teardrops on her dead face, her smile and laughter.
“I miss your touch on nights when am hollow. I know you’ve crossed a bridge that I can’t follow.
Since the love that you left, is all I can get. I want you to know that if I can’t be close to you
I’ll settle for the ghost of you
I miss you more than life”
He sang as tears filled his eyes. Stephanie stood by the door listening to his song.
” sweetie are you alright? “She asked with a concerned look on her face.
“Yeah, how was the class” he asked as they walked to their room. “Alright ” she pouted and sat on his laps.
” have this” he said putting a candy in her mouth.
Gwendoline walked into the kitchen, she quickly added the substance into the glass of juice she saw there.
She stirred it with a spoon and hurried out. “Gwen what are you looking for ” Clarissa asked
“Uhm, I came to get some apples, but I don’t need them again ” she replied and left.
Clarissa shook her head and went to carry the juice master asked her to bring to his room.
Khalil and Patricia sat on the same sofa eating. “You are such an excellent cook” he complimented “thanks, my brother taught me how to cook” she replied
” wow that’s awesome, so would you like to sleep here tonight ” Khalil asked
” I will” Patricia replied and he smiled. ” alright, I will go and arrange the guest room for you ” he said
” I want to stay in your room ” she pouted. ” wow, okay” he replied.
Gideon gulped down the juice and went to the window, he brushed his hair backwards with his hands.
He thought of telling Stephanie about his past tonight. she deserves to know about it.
He felt something trickling down his nose. He rubbed his nose with the back of his hand.
” blood” he gasped and ran to the mirror. “How? What happened “he asked himself.
He began to cough and vomit blood, his whole system was becoming weak. “Stephanie ” he called
But she won’t hear him. She was downstairs watching television. He groaned and fell on his knees holding his stomach and coughing out more blood.
Stephanie took pictures of her self as she walked upstairs. She opened the door and met a horrible sight.
” master”she screamed and her phone fell from her hands. She ran to him and knelt down beside him
” baby, what happened to you, who did this” she cried. He tried to talk but he couldn’t. His blood had stained her clothes but she didn’t care.
Gideon held her tightly, he felt like he was dying, his eyes closed and darkness followed.
” baby, please don’t do this, someone help” she screamed….
