Maverick eyes widened when she heard his words and it took all strength in her as she quickly snatched the pantie from his hand.
Her face was so red from embarrassment and Frankie was busy grinning drunkily like he just won a lottery.
Then she took the pantie and hit it deep down in her bag and she began cussing herself why she had to be a busybody and come to check on someone like him.
Just to be embarrassed to this extent.
She thought it it was all over but it wasn’t for Frankie was. Her back was turned against him. And then he came to her and wrapped his hands on her waist.
Maverick froze as her eyes widened once again.
“I love your scent” He muttered before dozing off with his head resting on her back and his hands still on her waist.
Maverick gently pulled his hands off her waist and took him to the bed. When she finally did that, she heaved and went back to drop herself on the bed.
Then she silently prayed that he doesn’t remember the pant scene or she would be dead for sure.
<MYERS MANSION>
The couple were in the dining room having breakfast when a notification popped up on Mr Myers phone.
He checked it out and while doing that his throat moved and his face became tensed. This is the third time he’s receiving this message.
His wife noticed that he was no longer eating and turned to her husband to see how tensed he was.
His fist was folded and his veins showed. She didn’t need a soothsayer to tell her what’s going on.
She was the first one to receive the message and the couple have become worried since then.
Their sins are back to hunt them.
Then Mrs Myers caressed his left hands.
“Honey is it from that person again” She said trying to act strong but her strength was failing her.
She was afraid the truth would get out.
“I think it’s from the same person. I sent the person a million dollars and now the person is requesting for another two million dollars” Mr Myers said and his wife gasped.
“Two million….. What? ” She gasped and covered her mouth.
“Honey you can’t do this, how would you give an unknown person a million dollars and now he’s asking for a double. No that aren’t possible” She said shaking her head in disapproval.
“What if the person tries to talk. You know what will happen” The man said and the woman eyes shook.
The fears in her came back.
She was trying to be the strong one here but then the tears came out.
It can’t be now?
Not when they had tried to keep it hidden for more than eighteen years.
“Let’s trace the number, we have to know the person who’s sending this message and silence the person” She said in a hard voice.
“Mum, Dad. I’m home” Stephanie voice was heard from the living room and the couple composed themselves.
Mrs Myers cleaned her tears before Stephanie arrived at the dinning room.
She saw her parents eating and she pecked their cheeks one after the other before going to seat beside her mum.
“Mum your eyes are red, did you cry” Stephanie asked worriedly and Mrs Myers released a fake smile.
“Why would I cry when I am happy. Your sister is finally in school and here you are almost done with highschool. What do I want more” Mrs Myers said trying to sound convincing and Stephanie hugged her.
“I love you Mum”
“I love you too” Mrs Myers said and looked at her husband secretly.

< GOVERNOR’S PALACE>
Tracy climbed down the stairs as she stared at her new polished nails. She admired them and failed to notice that there was water on the floor.
She was so engrossed in the beauty of the nails that she slipped and fell. Her butts bouncing on the stairs till she reached the last one.
“Arrrggh” She screamed and maids from different direction who heard her scream stopped wh@ťěver they were doing and traced the voice to meet her on the floor on her butts.
Tracy found it hard to stand up cause of the hellish pains coming from her buttocks.
Then she stood up with great difficulty before turning to all the maids who were bowing in front of her.
“Who spilled water on the stairs and failed to clean it” She said her voice booming in their ears that they all $h00t in tears.
“If I don’t get my answer in the next second then all of you are fired” She yelled this time and the veins in her neck popped out.
“I’m the one” a young maid stepped out among others with a mop stick in her hand.
She was actually coming to clean the mess she did but Tracy was unfortunate to slip on it before she arrived.
“I…. I’m sorry….. Ma” she said while stammering and then fell on her knees. Her head touching the floor.
“I don’t care you’re fired” She said and the maid crawled to her holding her legs while pleading.
Then Tracy gaze went to her newly polished nails that she was staring at earlier and she saw that it was already ruined.
Then her eyes flashed red and she stepped on the maids hands that was on her leg.
“Anyone who pleads for her gets fired also” She said and went to the living room.
Then her Mum showed up.
“Tracy what was the reason of the commotion earlier” Her Mum(Liliane) said calmly.
Her Mum is the complete opposite of Tracy, she kind hearted. But her daughter didn’t take over her traits.
Sometimes people even wonder if it was Liliane who birthed Tracy.
“Oh it was just some stupid maid” She said after rolling her eyes.
“How can you call a maid stupid Tracy, she is older than you so have some respect” Liliane cautioned her.
“I’m tired of your goody too shoes attitude but I already fired her. She even had the guts to spoil my nails” She said and her mum glared at her.
Then her Mum left her as she was staring at her nails and went to the maids quarters and saw how the other maids gathered around the one that was crying while packing her bags.
They were trying to console her but there was nothing they could do. Then Liliane made her way past the group of maids and stopped in front of the young girl who was crying.
When the girls heard the murmuring of other maids she looked up and saw the Master’s wife before her and she fell on her knees.
“I’m really sorry ma’am… It was a mistake” She said with her face kissing the floor.
Then the whole maids turned shocked when Liliane bent down in front of her and pulled her up.
“I’m sorry for my daughter action” She said shocking the maids again.
“You are not getting fired so clean your tears and go back to your duty post” She said and left.
Then the murmurs continued as they all said a word about what Liliane just did.
<UNIVERSITY OF AVIATION, CALIFORNIA>
Frankie woke up the next day with a terrible headache that he held his head while sitting up in bed.
Then he looked around the room and saw that he was the only one in. Then he Wondered how he got in bed and when he tried to think about it, the headache doubled and he groaned.
Then the door opened and Maverick appeared from the kitchen with a plate of hangover soup.
She knew he might need it and her mind kept disturbing her so she decided to do it.
“Good morning roomie” She said and dropped the hangover soup on the table beside the bed.
“I brought you some soup to help” She said while Frankie was just staring at her like she was some ghost.
“Thanks” He muttered.
Then Maverick smiled before leaving the room.
She was walking down the hallway when someone pulled her to an alley and she gasped. The action was so fast.
Then she turned to see Daniel before her. He was staring deeply at her that Maverick heart began to make loud beats.
The closeness between the both of them made her skip breaths.
“Why did you do that” She said but it came out as a whisper.
“Why am I so attracted to you” Daniel said and Maverick hand skipped a beat.
“What…. What.. do you… Mean” She said stuttering.
Then he began bringing his face closer and Maverick eyes widened as she pushed him away from herself.
But then he pulled her back and she slipped but he caught her back with his hands on her @zz and Maverick eyes widened.
“What are you both doing” They heard a voice.
