To be sure that he wasn’t dreaming, Frankie
muttered slowly,
“Mandy is that you” he said and some tears fell
out of his eyes.
Megan looked up when she heard that familiar
voice. It was like it’s been thousand years she’ve
heard that name.
Frankie couldn’t believe his eyes. He tried to
reason with himself that his sister was dead.
Yeah! He touched her dead body in his hands.
He cried over her death and he watched as she
was buried alongside with his mother.
He thought he was hallucinating so he cleaned
his eyes and opened them but it was still the
same person.
She was the older version of his little sister no
doubt or was this another person entirely.
Megan was also staring at the person standing
in front of her. She didn’t need anyone to tell her
that this person was her brother.
From his tone to the face and everything he
looked so much the same like when she last
saw him.
And in her heart she was happy that he still
recognize her. That he never forgot her. But she
could see a little doubt in his face.
She knows it would be hard for him to say that
she is the one because he believes that she was
dead. That she wouldn’t blame him.
Like a slow mo, she stood up from the ground
and hugged him tightly like he would run away
any minute.
Tears were already popping out of her eyes and
she was taken away by the warmth of his body.
She missed him. So much.
She couldn’t wait to tell him how miserable her
life had been without a big brother with her.
Frankie also hugged her back and it was like
everything in the word paused for a while as
they had their reunion.
They were still hugging and their tears were
coming out rolling down their cheeks to the
floor. Frankie was the one who later broke the
hug and he held her cheeks.
“Is this really you…. Mandy” He asked in a
whisper.
“I don’t want to believe I am dreaming.. I don’t
want to wake up to realize that you are really
dead” Frankie said and was about to release
another round of tears but Megan hugged him.
Some cars were already horning and they both
turned to see that they already caused a traffic
congestion.
They laughed at the same time before Frankie
pulled her like a little child to sit in the
passenger seat. He also got in before driving
off.
Megan directed him to the hotel she was
staying and she took him to the room she
booked.
They were so happy within themselves. Megan
sat down first before sitting beside her.
“So what happened. Why are you alive? I clearly
saw your dead body. You were buried or was it
someone else?” Frankie asked all in one and it
caused Megan to chuckle.
“What?”
“You’ve never changed from your unending
questions” She replied and he just scoffed.
“Are you going to tell me or not”
“Okay here we go. Everyone thought I was dead
but I wasn’t. The knife pierced into my tummy
didn’t go deep so it was blood I lost. An
unknown man who is my Boss rescued me. I
don’t really know how he found me but he
treated me and I don’t know what he did to
make me lose my memories because he lied to
me that my parents abandoned me and he was
my only hope.” She stopped to catch her breath
a little.
“I believed him but he made a condition that for
saving me I have to warm his bed every night. I
had no choice until one day Devon rescued me.
He’s one of the guys in the gang. He likes me
and he always h@ťěs it when I go to the Boss
office and he put a stop to it and I was with him
when I gained my memories. He was also the
one who helped me escape. He’s like my life
saver and I know he might be facing a lot now
that I am missing” Megan finished the story and
Frankie heaved.
“Who is that Boss of yours? and why did he lie.
How did he even get to rescue you and I really
need to thank that Devon of a guy” Frankie said
and he saw Megan smiling while staring at him.
“You haven’t changed one bit. Do you know? “
Megan said and he hit her head playfully.
“See who is talking. Do you know how much I
changed cause of your death same with Mom…
Huh” Frankie said and Megan came to hug him.
“It shows that you love me so much” Megan
muttered and he couldn’t help but smile.
He suddenly remembered something and
saying it made Megan to break the hug.
“Who actually ki|| you and Mom. I couldn’t find
the ki||er.” And Megan frowned deeply.
“I’m so disappointed. You won’t believe even if I
tell you”
“Just say it”
“Dad….. It was Dad who ki||ed Mom and I. He did
that to cover up for his illegal crime” Megan
finally said and Frankie didn’t appear shocked.
He didn’t even know why he isn’t shocked that it
was his Dad who was responsible for it all these
years. Maybe because his father didn’t act like
someone who cared all along.
“So what are we going to do. I’m going to let
that man pay. He won’t go scott free for ki||ing
my mum without any remorse” Megan said
vindictively.
“I’m actually going to him. Why don’t we go
together” Frankie suggested.
“Are you sure” And Frankie nodded.
They left the hotel to Frankie’s car before driving
off to the Myers mansion.
**HOSPITAL**
After everyone already left after seeing
Maverick. Mrs Myers left to freshen up and left
only Stephanie.
Stephanie excused herself to visit the restroom
and that was a good opportunity for him to
enter.
Dwayne secretly entered Maverick ward and he
was happy to see her face. She has been living
with a fake family .
He went to her bed and touched her cheeks
fondly. He knows everything about her from her
childhood to her growing up.
He had always looked for ways to check her
well-being. But when he got to know that she
was in a hospital, he got angry.
He has to end this once and for all.
He kissed her forehead before leaving. He
couldn’t bear anyone to see him.

Frankie and Megan already got to the mansion.
Frankie told Megan to wait in the car while he
goes inside.
He went to the living room and saw his Dad
already waiting for him in the living room.
Frankie ignored the look on his father’s face and
went to sit down casually in a couch.
His Dad was so angry but he acted nonchalant
about it.
“What took you so long” Mr Brauns asked in a
very angry tone.
“I’m not your puppet dad so quit the attitude” He
replied and the man huffed before going to sit.
“You are going to inherit all of my business and
when I say all, I mean all” Brauns said and
Frankie suspected that he might be going to the
illegal business Mandy mentioned earlier.
“Frankie I don’t need your say in this and I am
about to take you somewhere. You are about to
take over as the head of that business and
you’re have no option to say no”
“Dad I’ve told you I am tired of you ordering me
around. I am now going to do wh@ťěver I want
and you are not going to stop me anymore”
Frankie said raising his voice.
Mr Brauns expression changed and he went to
Frankie. His face now looked dangerous when
he talked.
“You are my heir and you’ll do as I say or else”
He said dangerously but Frankie wasn’t
bothered.
He pushed his Dad in his chest and the man
staggered back.
“Or else what, you’ll ki|| me the same way you
ki||ed my mom you murderer” Frankie yelled and
Mr Brauns eyes widened.
Frankie glared at him before leaving. He got
back to the car to meet Megan in there.
“What happened how did it go” Megan asked
seeing how his face already changed.
“Let’s get outta here” Frankie said and drove out
heading to the hospital immediately.
He got the hospital and he allowed Megan to
follow him this time around.
“Why are we here?” Megan asked
“I will tell you later” Frankie said.
He told her to sit down in a chair outside the
ward before going in.
He went to sit beside Maverick bed and the first
thing he did was to intertwine their hands.
“When are you going to wake up?” He said
talking to her like he always does even though
she’s unconscious.
“You are taking so long and it’s making me
worry too much”
“I have something to tell you and I have to wait
till you wake up before I finally tell you how
much I love you. That you stole my heart
completely” Frankie confessed and at that
minute Maverick hands moved.
Her eyes opened slowly like it was like his ‘I
LOVE YOU’ just woke her up.
