Megan moved her body countless times on the
bed with her eyes closed. She felt the bed she
was sleeping on wasn’t hers and her eyes
snapped open instantly.
She looked around the room. It was Devon’s
room and then she felt someone’s hand on her
arm and it was Devon.
His eyes were closed as he was sitting on a
chair resting his head on the bed with his eyes
closed.
He looked so cute while sleeping and her hands
were tempted to caress his smooth face.
Her gaze moved from his face to her lips and
she couldn’t even hold it any longer, she brought
her face closer.
And just when her lips were almost landing on
his lips, he fluttered his eyes open and she
removed her face quickly faking a cough.
Devon wasn’t actually sleeping so he knew what
she wanted to do so he chuckled lightly and
that made Megan embarrassed.
“How are you feeling now” He said breaking the
silence and Megan remembered it all.
She recalled how the bracelet in his hand made
her head hurt her and she lost her
consciousness.
But that wasn’t the only thing she remembered ,
she also remembered her past. Everything and
how she was saved by Skull.
But there was one thing she couldn’t forget. The
ki||er of her mother. She couldn’t believe all
these as she tightened her feet on the bed.
Then her gaze went to that pink bracelet on
Devon’s wrist. Now she knew why it was
familiar.
That was the bracelet she gave an orphan boy
when she went to the amusement park with her
brother and sister.
She couldn’t believe that it was him. He was
close to her after all these years. She did a
surprising thing when she pulled him close and
hugged him.
She was crying on his shoulder. Devon didn’t
know why she did that but he just patted her
back at intervals.
He knew she was facing a lot and that’s why he
would be by her side. Help her in any way he
could.
When Megan stopped crying, she pulled away
from the hug and faced him. Her face already
turned to the cold Megan everyone knew.
“I want you to fulfill your promise to me now”
She said and he nodded for her to go on.
“I want you to help me get out of the institute
this night” Megan said as her fists were
clenched.
She needed this favour now to be able to finish
this up.

They were done with everything they were
supposed to do for the day and by now
everyone were exhausted.
When Maverick got to the room, she avoided
talking to Daniel or making any eye contact with
him.
And she couldn’t even wait for Frankie to show
up. She has been missing him badly.
She was on her phone scrolling through some
things when Daniel came to stand in front of her
bed.
She acted like she didn’t see him and continued
what she was doing on her phone.
“Can you spare me few minutes, I want us to
talk” Daniel said and Maverick rolled her eyes.

“You have five minutes, $h00t” Maverick said
and Daniel nodded before clearing his throat.
“First of all, I wanna say I am sorry” He said in a
low serious voice.
“I know what I did was selfish. I couldn’t have
said those things about you both but it was true
and I was jealous that was why I did that”
Maverick stared at him confused.
What does he mean by he’s jealous. Of what?
“I know you might find this weird but lately
everytime you’re close to me , my heart beats
faster than normal everytime you’re around me
and that’s why I always want to be close to you.
I tried to deny the fact everyday that I am not a
gay but I couldn’t help you”
“I don’t want to hide my feelings anymore but I
think that I am in love with you” He said and
Maverick eyes widened.
“But… I… am… a guy. It’s not…. possible” she
stuttered.
“I don’t care. It’s happens. I mean boy and boy
relationship. Don’t say no Maverick I won’t allow
you” He said and held her hands.
All these were like a dream to Maverick. And it
was like an abominable dream.
She wanted to badly wake up from the dream
but what could she do when everything was
real.
Daniel was spewing all these rubbish to her. She
began to shake her head.
“This is not right Daniel. I’m sorry but…” She
didn’t finish her statement when Daniel
slammed his lips on her own.
Her eyes widened to the highest. This got to be
a joke.
She tried to push away but the more she did
that, the more he brought her close.
Daniel was feasting on her lips hungrily like a
very sumptuous meal. He would bite her lips at
intervals cause of her resistance.
She gathered every strength in her and pushed
him away. Her lips were already so swollen by
now and there were traces of little blood on her
lips.
“You’re insane Daniel” She yelled angrily at him
and stormed out of the room.
“Maverick come back here, you’re mine…. You
belong to me” He said like a psychopath and
stood up going after her.
He h@ťěd rejections and Maverick would
definitely be his, Even though it means ki||ing
Frankie.
Anything he wants, he must get.

Maverick was so angry at the moment. Daniel
was acting like an insane person and she
wasn’t ready to go back to that room again.
She was walking about with no destination in
mind. If she had known, she would not have
given him the chance to say those nonsense he
said.
She badly wanted to beat him up to a pulp but
he was stronger than her.
Then she thought to herself that if truly she was
a guy, is this what would have happened.
She was still going further down the hallway
when someone dragged her to a room.
She couldn’t see the face clearly so she
squinted her eyes to see the face and it was
Connor.
“Where were you going and you looked so
angry” Connor asked but she couldn’t tell me.
How she start explaining Daniel’s madness to
him so she just sighed.
“It’s nothing.” She reassured him and he grinned
and nodded with a hidden motive in mind.
He took her to the room and closed the door.
“I think this is a good opportunity to tell you this
then since I am already tired of hiding these all
the time” Connor said with a smile.
“What is it”
He didn’t even say anything and kissed
Maverick shocking the hell outta her again.
She didn’t even waste a second to push him off
and land a slap on his face.
She was even starting to wonder why she was
just getting kissed and why all they were
displaying madness.
“I love you Maverick. I have been with you. We’re
are friends and I know you are not a guy. I’m not
a fan of rejections and I am not ready to let you
leave me for him” Connor said referring to
Frankie.
“What is wrong with you Connor?. There is a
mistake somewhere”
“I would let you off the hook for now but just
know that if you try to say no then I won’t keep
shut anymore. I would report to the school
management about what I know” He thr_@tened
and Maverick gave him a very hard look before
walking out on him.

He wore a black sneakers before leaving the
house.
“Are you sure about this” Ashley asked him and
he nodded.
“I am meeting up with the Myers couple and if
they still disagree to say the truth then I have no
other choice than to tell my parents.”He said.
“Have you given them the address” Ashley
asked again and he nodded.
“Bye” She waved at him as he entered a small
car that he owned and drove out.
He was on his way to the place he wanted to
meet up with the Myers when he saw a big truck
coming from afar.
It was a one way road so he tried to move to
another side of the road but the steering wheel
was misbehaving.
Because of that, he pressed the brake but it
wasn’t working. And the big truck was already
getting so close.
His car was moving in circles and they was no
other way to stop it and before he knew it.
The truck collided with his car and it caused a
huge accident.
The fuel in the car leaked and it blew up both
the car and the truck burning up everyone and
everything in it.
