And she blinked twice to make sure it was not a dream.
When she saw that it was all reality she smiled widely before grabbing her book back to continue reading.
“$h|t” she cussed when she found it hard to read. His thank you was just ringing in her head as that was all she could think about.
Then she dropped the book and climbed the bed laying on it. Maybe she should just sleep.

Frankie came back into the room at midnight. Then he looked at Maverick side of the bed but she was already asleep.
Then he remembered how he said thank you and he sighed. Tracy is always a pain in the @zz and he knows that she was definitely the one who started trouble.
Then he moved closer to Maverick bed and he was lost staring at her. To him, she looks so much like a girl in the eyes but then it was just his instincts.
Then he felt drawn to her because he started bringing his hand closer to her face.
Just when his hand grazed her cheeks, she stirred in her sleep and he withdrawed his hand back.
“What’s wrong with ” he scolded himself before going back to bed.
Then he touched the pendant on his neck caressing it as he remembered his younger memories.
Then he brought out a locket from his trousers pocket and opened it. It contained a picture of a woman and a young girl in it and he smiled.
Then he brought it so close to his chest. The only people were the reason for his smile.
*** THE FOLLOWING DAY***

Stephanie pulled her mum in and an attendant came to their service. She has been disturbing her mom that she wanted to come here.
After much persuasion, her mum later said here and now here they are. Then she saw a yellow spaghetti gown and she went to it.
“Mum I want this” she said.
“Sure, take anything you want” Mrs Myers said but it was not fully with her mind.
” Mum I want to go check it out” Stephanie said and took the gown with some heels that she also saw.
” Lucky” Mrs Myers heard a voice from behind and she turned.
That’s actually her name.
“Oh Liliane” She said and released a fake smile.
“Lucky… It’s really you long time” Liliane said and hugged Mrs Myers ( Lucky) tightly.
“Yeah it’s been long ” she said and reciprocated the hug.
“I couldn’t find your number and it was like you just disappeared from the earth. How’s your family?” Liliane said after they pulled away from the hug.
“They’re fine ” Lucky answered.
But with the way she was, one could easily notice that she was not doing this happily. She was partially scared and afraid.
“Mum the cloth really fit me. I’m buying it “
Stephanie said after she was already done checking out the cloth in the dressing room.
“Oh is this her. The one you were pregnant with ” Liliane asked.
Actually when they last saw each other, Lucky and Liliane were already pregnant.
“No this is my second daughter ” Lucky replied.
“Okay, it was nice meeting you after a long time “
“Let me have your number so we can still keep in touch ” Liliane suggested and gave Lucky her phone.
Mrs Myers typed her number and gave it back to her. They gave their goodbyes and Liliane left.

“Mum who was that” Stephanie asked. They were already in their car about to go back home.
The spaghetti gown and heels that Stephanie saw earlier were the only things they bought and they already paid.
“She’s a long time friend” Mrs Myers said plainly and ignited the engine driving out of the boutique.

The mission was already done and dusted and as usual they came back victorious.
There was a party to be held tonight and the gangsters were all preparing. If there’s one thing they love doing here apart from ki||ing mercilessly then that’s partying.
Megan was in the bathtub for more than an hour. She hasn’t come out because somehow being here keeps her mind calm.
She just came back from the mission and as usual the boss required her presence.
But now she’s so weak that she feels like spending an eternity here.
Then she heard a knock on her door but she didn’t blink an eye. She already knows who that is.
Devon didn’t hear any response from Megan and he knocked again and then he opened the door.
“Hey” he called the moment he entered but he didn’t see her there.
Then he thought for a while before he opened the bathroom door and there he saw Megan with her eyes closed in the bathtub.
“Hey”he called again and then she opened her eyes gently.
“What do you want” she said icily.
“I just wanted to ask if you would go to the party”
He said scratching his head a little. He was kinda nervous.
Megan don’t go the parties they hold but he was hoping she would at give it a try.
“No” she said coldly shattering all Devon’s hope.
“Please. I promise to grant you a wish….. Just once…. It wouldn’t hurt” He said pleading with her.
“Fine but don’t forget you have a wish to grant me” she said and smirked.
“Sure” Devon replied unsure of what he was getting himself into.
Then Megan stepped out of the water naked and Devon eyes widened as he quickly turned his back on her grabbing a towel and throwing it at her.
“Why did you do that. It’s inappropriate” Devon scolded.
“When you are done get out”that was her reply as she covered her petite figure with the towel before leaving the bathroom.

Maverick finished preparing for class and today she called her Mum to see how she was doing.
After getting a positive response, they talked for a while before she hung up. Then she grabbed some books she would need before leaving the room.
She was on her way to class when she saw from afar, Connor and Biggie. They were both laughing.
Then she ran and smacked Biggie head from behind
“Ouch that was painful” Biggie said and rubbed his head. The part that she smacked.
“Good morning cuties”Maverick said and smiled.
“Don’t do that. I think I might turn gay”Biggie said referring to how she smiled.
“Then I don’t care”
“That’s Wickedness” Connor said and then Maverick sticked her tongue out at the both of them.
“Why are you behaving like a girl. It makes you look cute” Connor said and Maverick dropped her smile as her heart made a beat.
She’s always conscious whenever someone says that she looks like a girl.
“Well I’m not” she said defending herself.
“I know I’m just saying” Connor clarified.
Then Daniel showed and stopped in front of them and they all stopped to know why he did that.
“I want to talk to Maverick” Daniel said straight without beating around the bush.
“No he’s with us ” Connor replied and dragged Maverick to his back.
“She’s not your boyfriend dude. I just wanna have a little chat with him ” Daniel said again and it made Connor more angry but Maverick interfered.
“Connor I’ll see you both in class” Maverick said before following Daniel away.
“What do you want” Maverick said the moment they stopped at a quiet corner.
“Why am I feeling this way for you. I don’t know you that much but there’s something different about you” Daniel replied.
“See I want you to leave me alone and stop saying trash to me” she said and tried to go but he stood in her away.
“I’m not letting you go until I clarify my doubts”Daniel said not allowing her to go but then someone pushed him from behind and he staggered.
“He’s not your property so let him go” Frankie came and then took Maverick away
