“Jack. I’m the boss as you may know by now.” I look down at his hand then back up at him. When I feel Athena give me a nudge I decide to shake his hand because this isn’t about how I feel about him.
“If I say so myself you are on of the luckiest men on earth to have a woman as beautiful as Athena.”
“If anyones lucky it’s me.” I wrap my arm around her and pull her closer to me.
“Athena, have I said how beautiful you look today?” Yes. Over a hundred times already.
“You have. And like every time I say thank you.” He laughs and puts his hand up to touch her elbow but she reaches up to rub something away from my chin.
“Alessandro complimented me really well before we got here.” I could hear the flirtatiousnesses in her voice and when she looked up at me I could see the lust in her eyes.
“If I were him I wouldn’t stop complimenting you.” He said with a flirty smile.
“I’d want you to stop. Your being really flirty tonight.” She says it as if he’s like this all the time and it annoys me so much that I start to dig my nails into her hips.
“Alessandro.” She whispered and I immediately stop, rubbing the area to sooth it.
“Apologies.” He says but still looks at her like he wants to f-__-k her. “Am I making you uncomfortable?”
“No need to apologize. Not only am I uncomfortable but so is he and I’m sure he doesn’t appreciate you talking to me that way.” I was still rubbing the area while she spoke and her not letting him speak to her that way made me smile.
“She’s right. I don’t appreciate it and I think it would be nice if you went to talk to someone else for a change.” He looked at me as if he wanted to say something. Instead he nodded his head at us both and walked away.
I turned toward her and looked down at her hip with furrowed eyebrows. “I’m sorry baby. Did I hurt you?”
“No, I’m fine.” She smiled and I pressed a soft kiss to her lips. I did it mostly because I felt bad for hurting her but also because I noticed Jack watching her.
His eyes moved down to her @zz so I put my hand there and squeezed it as I kissed her. Athena was enjoying the kiss with her eyes closed and I was enjoying with my eyes open and looking over at Jack.
When I felt her lips stop moving against mine I looked down at her and she was looking at Jack. She looked back at me with a roll of her eyes. “Don’t kiss me if your trying to make someone jealous.”
“Alright.” So I kissed her again, with my eyes closed and my attention only on her. Athena had to move back because she knew I wouldn’t stop kissing her. “Better?”
“Better.” She smiled. My hand was on her lower back as we walked and stopped to talk, then did it again, and again, and again. At this point we had talked to everyone in the d@mn building. I could tell Athena was getting tired of walking on her feet.
“Athena!” Helena walked over to us in a burgundy dress with a slit. It showed a lot of her cleavage and I could tell she was trying to show it off with the way she presented herself. She hugged Athena and after several seconds Athena hugged back. “You look stunning.”
“I wish I could say the same.” Athena said back with that fake smile of hers.
Helena walked over to me about to hug me but I backed away. “No hugs. You have a lot of perfume on.” I pulled Athena impossibly closer to me so her perfume could mask the cheap one Helena had on.
“How has your night been going? Mine has been going great and boss is already talking about promoting me. I haven’t even been here for a year and I’m already being promoted. How crazy is that?” She rambled, bragging to Athena about her promotion.
“Well I’ve never had to use my connections to get there. How crazy is that?” Athena laughed sarcastically before taking the glass of champagne out of my hands.
“Well I don’t think cheating on your husband has really helped your career has it?” Helena was smiling as if she hadn’t just offended us both.
“It hasn’t actually. I mean you are at a party that is that is being held in my honor. I am bringing the most money to the company so, no, I wouldn’t say my affair is affecting my career.” Athena was also smiling but I knew if we weren’t at her place of work these two would be fighting. “Plus, my affair has nothing to do with my work.”
Before Helena could say anything, Jack was standing on the stage about to announce something. “Can I get everyone’s attention?”
“So lovely seeing you, Helen.” I chuckled at how Athena purposely said her name wrong. We walked to the front of the crowd with Helena hanging in the back with the non-important people.
“Now, as you all now this entire event is in honor of Athena and her amazing work.” She smiled as everyone around her, including me, applauded.
“Athena could you come on up here?” She picked her dress up and I helped her up the few stairs to get on the stage.
“You have been the best lawyer at this firm, and I’m sure that it hasn’t been easy especially since the latest scandal.”
I h@ťěd when people talked about the affair. It made me feel like I had somehow downed her image in the lawyer firm. “But, as she likes it, her personal life has nothing to do with her work one.
I’d like to have the honor to give you this award plus a raise in your salary.” He handed her a glass award as we all clapped for her. When the clapping settled he spoke up, “Would you like to say anything?”
She took the mic with a smile. “Firstly, thank you to a very close friend of mine, Serene, for pushing me to go for what I wanted during high school when I wanted to drop out and become a stripper. I love you with all my heart.” Now that just turned me on.
I wouldn’t mind watching her slide down a pole. “I’d also like to think Alessandro for supporting and making sure I got enough sleep whenever court was coming up.
He’d massage my feet, make me coffee, and so much more when I stayed up half the night working on the case.”
I nodded in her direction with a smile while people awed. “Now as some of you may know, there were certain people who tried to intimidate me and get to my level.”
She looked back at Helena and winked. “So I’m glad to have someone that tries to challenge me.” Everyone laughed.
“But, seriously, I’m honored to be awarded tonight and to have a party thrown just for me. Makes me feel all special. Thank you, again, Jack. I love you so much, Alessandro. Everyone enjoy your night.” Everyone clapped and I went to help her off the stage.
She handed me her award and bent down to rub her sore ankles. “I’m ready to head home now.” She got back up and set her head on my chest. “But we can’t leave.”
“Here.” I handed her back her award. Athena placed her hand on my shoulder as I took her heels off. “How long do we need to stay here?”
“Couple more minutes. Everyone’s leaving now but I can’t be the first to leave my own party.” I nodded and got back up and she sighed in relief of being out of her heels.
I held her heels in one hand and placed my other on her back. Now we walked, stopped and said goodbyes until half the building was out. “Now we leave.”
I smiled down at her and swooped her into my arms bridal style. Her laugh was like a melody I couldn’t get enough of. We walked out of the building and I set her in the limo. “You know, I wouldn’t mind seeing you on a pole.” I smirked at her.
She laughed. “Maybe one day.” Then yawned right after. Athena pulled her legs up on the seat and laid her head on my lap. I set her heels and award down beside me and kissed her cheeks. She had the most prettiest cheeks ever. I didn’t even know pretty cheeks existed before I met her.

I was carrying her into the house bridal style while my driver held her heels and award. “Drop it and your dead. Understand?” He nodded and went to unlock the door. After he set the heels and award down he walked out and locked the door behind him.
Wren was sleeping on the couch while Serene was watching TV with a glass of wine.
“Hey, Serene.” She looked over at us and smiled at me. Slowly Slowly she got up so Wren wouldn’t wake up since her head was in her lap.
“Thanks for watching her. I’ll have the money in your account by morning.”
“No thank you. Athena would snap my head off if she heard I was taking money from you.” I laughed because knowing Athena she would do something like that.
“Night. Tell her I’ll call her tomorrow.” I nod and she gets up to her tip toes to kiss her on the forehead.
I walked Athena upstairs to the bed and set her down. She was so cute. I kissed her lips then her forehead before going to the bedroom and grabbing all of her makeup removal stuff. I’d watch her remove her makeup a lot so I already knew how to do it.
I took her lashes off first and set them aside before micellar water and that cotton pad thing.
I did twice like she would then got the other cleaner thing and rubbed it all over her face. She stretched which scared me because I thought she woke up.
Athena took really good care of her skin and I heard that falling asleep with makeup was not good for it. When I was I looked down at her dress and knew that had to be uncomfortable to sleep in.
It didn’t take too long for her to get onto her stomach and when she did I unzipped her dress and pulled it off her body. It was times like this where I appreciated she was a heavy sleeper most of the time.
My Ďïčk was on full alert when I saw she didn’t have a bra on. “Not now.
She’s asleep, Alessandro. Let the woman sleep.” I took a few deep breaths and tucked myself back in.
I walked into the closet to grab her a bra and put it on her without waking her. When she was officially comfortable I put the covers over her and went to hop in the shower.
I changed into black shorts with no shirt then went downstairs to grab Wren. I didn’t want her sleeping on a couch if she could sleep with us.
I laid her between Athena and i and when I saw that they were both comfortably sleeping I kissed both their cheeks and soon fell asleep.
