.ANSH’S POV
” Mrs. Bhatt, Is she a-alright? What happened?” I asked as soon as she came out of Ahana’s room.
” Let’s talk in my cabin. Ahana is resting for now.” I followed her.
Man! I looked at Ahana through the door. She was sleeping.
I don’t understand what happened suddenly. We were doing so well.
After Ahana fainted I rushed to the hospital calling Mrs. Bhatt. My palms were getting very sweaty as I entered her cabin. All I prayed was Ahana’s welfare.
” Is she fine?” I asked going in.
” Ansh… I’m afraid not…” She replied seriously.
” What?” I sat down opposite to her.
” The placenta has further moved down the cërv|x.”
” So… What is the solution now? And why did she faint? ”
” She fainted because of low Blood Pressure. It’s mostly experienced during second trimester of pregnancy. There has been drastic fluctuations in her BP.
The babies are healthy so if we try a Cesarean section then there are chances that Ahana won’t face any risk but instead the babies will be premature.
Also, we’ll have to put them in a incubator. But there are equal chances that they may not be able to make it or would catch an infection. The risk factor is high. One of the cases is that the umbilical cord may wind against one of the babies’ throat…. ”
” Mrs. Bhatt… I-I don’t understand. You are a doctor. You have been through this. Why the hell don’t you suggest something? ” I said frustrated.
” Ansh, Its difficult situation. This isn’t common. I know all the three lives are important, to you as well as to us. But this is the only solution left. If you want Ahana safe we need to operate her. Or else we have to wait for the labour pain to start. In this way we are sure that the babies are totally safe. It’ll start in few weeks. ”
I wasn’t in any position to decide. Ahana will never agree to this.
It’s so ironical, that the decisions which involve billions of dollars are much easier than this one.
” Ansh… It’s better that you speak to Ahana now. I know that even you are aware that she won’t agree but still, it has be a mutual decision.” I nodded and went to Ahana’s room.
She was still sleeping like a little baby. I held her hand in mine. I kissed her gently. I don’t know when are we going to enjoy our night together without any interruptions.
” Ansh!! ” She opened her eyes slowly.
” Ahana… How are you feeling? ” I asked helping her straightened.
At once she left my hand and touched her tummy.
” My babies!! Are they alright? What happened?” She questioned. Her face depicted how worried she was and how much she loved them.
” Sshhh…. ” I said hugging her. She wrapped her arms around my waist. I caressed her head until she was sober.
” Ahana… You fainted because of low BP. The babies are perfectly fine. Aren’t you taking your medicines ?” I asked.
I’m … But I think I skipped yesterday’s course because you made me upset.” She said looking at me.
Gosh!! My temper.
” Ahana! You know me well… I’m so trying to change. But please don’t do this. Promise me. ” I kissed her forehead.
” Okay! I’m sorry too. Can we go home now? ”
C’mon Ansh! You need to do this now.
Convince her.
” Ahana… You need to listen carefully. Don’t panic and think before deciding. ” I said holding her hand and sitting next to her narrating everything that Mrs. Bhatt said.
The tears had already found their way down now. And I was in no position to stop them.
I kept on wiping hers but I didn’t realise that my vision was also blurred.
” Ahana!! Please…” She looked at me with her eyes all red.
” We can do this. Don’t worry. I know you are very strong and so are our babies. They can endure it. Please stop crying. It will cause more pain.”
” A-Ansh… N-No matter what I do they are refusing to stop. ”
” It’s difficult but don’t worry the operation won’t be painful. ” As soon as I said that she looked at me.
” Ansh… I’m not putting their life in risk. Not even 0.01%. I can’t do that. That too for my sake. Never… ”
” Ahana!! I know… Our angels mean a lot to us but they will survive. ”
” Not at that risk Ansh… No… Have you ever seen a incubator? Do you even know how painful it can be? They need to be fully developed. ” She said wiping her tears but they were unstoppable.
” Ahana… There are many premature babies who are perfectly healthy. ”
” Ansh… Please… There are 2 lives in me. They are a part of me. I can’t be selfish. Just because of me. Here touch here… ” She said putting my hand on her swollen belly.
” Ahana… ” I said louder.
” Tell me you don’t feel them… Tell me you don’t feel them move… You are their father Ansh… How can you do that? ” She pulled my shirt and sobbed. She looked miserable. I was miserable too but we weren’t felt with any choices.
” Sweetie… I know. They are my babies too. I love them. ”
” No… You don’t love them Ansh… You don’t. If you did you wouldn’t do anything like this. You would protect them. How can you even think about it. ” She was pushing me now.
” I’m protecting them.
I can’t see them without you. I can’t see myself without you. You are thousand times more important than anything else in my heart Ahana… ” I said cupping her face. She looked at me when I said that. It calmed her down.
” Ansh… You saying this means a lot to me… You know that… ”
” I’m not even a good husband. I couldn’t protect. I couldn’t make you happy… How will I
be a good father? ”
” Who said this nonsense to you? I don’t know about others but for me you are just perfect. You are the best. The time I spend with you is the best feeling ever. You have been a very good husband. Now I want you to be the best and a responsible father. My babies should idealise you. You need to protect them.”
” But… ”
Before I could complete myself she hugged me tightly.
” Ansh! You need to let me do this Please… I can do it. Help me be strong… ” I rubbed her back.
” Ahana… I love you… ”
She quickly pecked my lips.
” Thanks… I can do it.”
” Ansh… Are you in?” It Dad’s voice.
Gosh! I forgot to inform them.
” One minute Dad… ” I shouted.
I quickly cleaned Ahana’s face with my handkerchief. She cleaned mine as we put up a smile.
” Ansh… They shouldn’t know…” I nodded.
” Dad… You can come in… ” As soon as I said that the entire gang was in.
2 Dads 2 grandads Ma Jaai Zara and Mir. The entire clan.
” What happened? The guard informed me that something happened to Ahana. Why didn’t you call us? ” Dad said.
Ahana was holding my hands all the time.
” Dad, I fainted. There’s nothing to worry about. I’m fine now. And there was no need to call you. I’m alright. ” Ahana said.
” Are you sure? ” Ma asked.
” Yeah!! They will discharge me in an hour or so. Isn’t it Ansh?”
” Yup… I’ll check it out. ” I said.
” Ansh… You must wait here. Mir and I’ll do that. ” Jaai said.
” I think you all should go home now. We’ll be back soon. ” Ahana said.
They weren’t willing to but then Mir and Jaai were staying back so after greeting Ahana they felt. I sat next to her when Mrs. Bhatt came to check on her.
” So… Guys… What have you decide? ” She asked looking at Ahana.
” We are waiting for the labour.” Ahana replied.
” Are you sure?” She asked looking at me.
I nodded. Although I wasn’t willing to do that but then I will do it for Ahana.
She patted my shoulders.
” I’m very glad that you are such a strong and brave couple. I’ll pray. God is gonna be good to you. Don’t worry. ” She said while leaving.
We are back home now. Ahana is next to me but I don’t think we both can sleep. Her hand in rested on mine.
” Can’t sleep… Huh? ” I said sitting upright.
I quickly noticed her wiping her eyes.
” Hmmm… Yup…”
I removed the duvet.
” Ansh?”
Then I slowly caressed my belly and kissed it gently.
” Hey! Angels… This is your Papa. Your Mumma loves you a lot so please don’t cause her a lot of pain. Be good to her.” I said resting my head softly on it. I felt Ahana’s hand move through my hair. It felt amazing. I looked at her as she wiped her falling tears.
” Ahana…”
” Yeah! I’m so happy. ” She said taking my hand.
” I really want you to be happy. It will benefit us. So, let’s make a BucketList of things you want to do.”
” Ansh!! You’re making me feel like I’m gonna die in few days…”

” This sounds good. I’ll think of it. Let’s sleep now. ” She said pulling me towards her and kissing me briefly.
” Wow!! Mrs. Raichand has turned out to be a lot bold. I like it. ”
” Is it? I think it’s just the hormones. ” She said laughing while I captured her lips again in a slow long lasting kiss.

AHANA’S POV
” Ansh… Get up now… It’s already 10. Till what time are you planning to sleep?” I was trying to wake him since half an hour.
” Hmmm… I’m so d@mn sleepy… ” He said pulling my hand.
” Oiii…. I have a better method.”
” Yeah! A morning kiss would be great.” He said, his eyes still closed.
” C’mon… Im6 waiting… ” I hear him say as I went to grab a glass of cold water and SPLASH!!
” Hey!! What the…” He cursed as I burst into laughter. His hair was wet and so was his t-shirt along with the mattresses.
“This seems more effective than the kiss. Isn’t it Sweetheart?” I said.
Oh! I’m so cold. Help me please…” He said trying to catch me.
” Wait… I’ll help…” I said going towards him but he pulled me strongly making me fall on the him.
” Gosh!! Ansh… ”
” I’m not letting you cheat on me so easily honey… My morning kiss… Now… ” He said in a demanding tone.
” You cheater. I know you can’t be cold on this hot day when you are sleeping with the AC on. And Mr. You haven’t been to office since I don’t even know how long.” I wiped the water from his face and caressed his wet jet black hair.
” I was taking your care Miss. Also I was awake till 4:00 am. I’m human. I’m entitled some sleep. And you, a bad girl threw water on me. ”
” Oh!! I’m sorry… ” I mimicked his tone.
” That’s not funny. You were fast asleep while I was working.” He said looking the other way.
” Fine!! Don’t make faces. ” I said pulling his chin and kissing me hard.
He was surprised as I’m sure he didn’t expect me to give in so early but even I was so desperate to kiss my husband.
At once he made us switch places and was supporting both of us.
” Hmmm.. You smell so fresh…” He said between the kisses.
” I have had my shower.” I said pulling apart.
” Really….” He wrapped both of us in the duvet and started kissing my neck.
” Ansh… Stop… You need to attend a conference…”
” Hmmm… I have to be with you, always… Mrs. Bhatt said.” He was still snuggling in my neck.
” It’s already been 4 days now. I’m fine….”
” Ahana… Stop wriggling for a while.”
” It’s ticklish…. ” I said chuckling.
” Guys… I was saying th…. Oops!! Sorry… ”
” Dad!! ” Ansh said surprised. I pushed him and quickly stood straight, well it wasn’t easy peasy because of my tummy. I took my time I saw Ansh’s usual frustrated expression.
” Dad!! What? ” He said and Dad turned around grinning.
” I’m so sorry. It’s a wrong timing always. ”
” When will you learn to knock?” Ansh asked still pissed off. I elbowed him.
” And when will you learn to lock the door. Anyways Don’t worry we won’t be around for long.” He said looking at us.
” Dad!! He didn’t meant that way. Ansh! Apologise….”
Ansh glared at me and I returned the gesture.
“Where are your manners? I don’t want the kids to learn this.” I whispered angrily in his ears, gritting my teeth.
” Dad… I’m sorry…”
” No worries… I was just messing with you. Ahana, Thanks at least you taught him how to say sorry.” I smiled.
” Dad, You wanted us to know something? ” I asked.
” Oh! Yeah. Jaai and Zara are waiting for you downstairs. They want to tell you something. ”
” Oh! Let’s go then… ” Ansh said moving towards the door. Dad and I were just standing.
” What?”
” Are you going like this? How in the earth did you wet your t-shirt and hair in the morning ?” Dad asked him when he realised why weren’t we moving.
He looked at me and I laughed.
Serves him right for troubling us.
” Hmmm… I – I was having a shower.” He replied quickly.
” With your clothes on? But I didn’t saw you coming out of the bathroom. Isn’t it, Ahana?” Dad looked at me while I was looking at Ansh.
” Dad!! What’s your problem? It’s my wish…”
” Fine… I’m going now. Do wh@ťěver you want but do come quick. They are waiting. ” Saying so he left and I was still laughing.
” Was it that funny? Huh? ” Ansh was still agitated. He looks hotter when his head is hot.
” Humpp!! This wet t-shirt and all… Arrghhhh… ” Saying so at once he removed his t-shirt and moved his hand through his wet hair spreading the droplets of water everywhere. His abs were a treat to watch.
” Huh!!” I stared without blinking.
He looked furious. He was about to enter the bathroom and stopped suddenly. He turned around to look at me. His usual smirk returning. He realised that I was drooling over him.
” I think I forgot something…” Saying so he neared towards me and pulled me to the nearest wall. The blanket fell off my hand.
” Ansh…”
” Sshhh…” Our eyes were locked in each other. My hand moved through his chiseled chest to his broad shoulders. He kissed me gently on my neck and moved towards my jawline, leaving a hickey.
My other hand caught hold of his hair, wetting my palms while the first one was clung to his shoulder. My eyes were automatically shut and Ansh’s lips felt on mine. Kissing my upper and lower lip one after he other he asked my permission.
I Mõ@ɲed. I allowed him access without hesitation and we were locked on that position for minutes. Slowly yet passionately exploring each other. The soft Mõ@ɲs made it even more difficult for us to leave each other.
” A-Ansh…” I was literally panting now.
” Ahana… We are not done yet…”
” Gosh!! They are waiting for us.” I said pushing him back.
” They have some work so they can wait.”
” Go have a bath. I need to change the mattresses.”
” Ahana… You can’t bend. You aren’t doing it.”
” Ansh, I can do this. Don’t be Bossy. ” Saying so as I bend down I felt a terrible cramp.
” Nooo… Means No… Don’t make me furious.” I don’t think he was looking at me.
” Aahhh…” A screamed escaped my throat.
” Ahana… What the… ” He came running towards me as I settled on the carpet.
” I told you not to bend. That’s the reason I don’t go to work. Should I call Mrs. Bhatt? ” He said giving me some water.
” No… I’m fine. Sorry.”
” Ahana…. Please… We can’t afford any more complications. You know that, right, honey?” He said caressing my cheeks.
I nodded.
” Ohkkk… I will ask Sara. Now go… ” I pushed him towards the bathroom.
” Are you sure you okay? ”
” Yup… It was just a small cramp. ”
Briefly kissing me again he finally went in and straightening my dress I went downstairs. Jaai, Zara along with Dad and grandad were waiting for us in the dining room.
” Morning… Guys…” I greeted.
” Morning…” They said together.
” What took you so long? And where is Ansh?” Jaai asked looking behind me.
” He is in shower…”
” Again?” Dad questioned looking at me. I stood without an answer while everyone turned their head towards me.
” Hmmm… ” Is all I could say.
I saw Dad grinning at me while others weren’t aware what was happening. I sat next to him.
” Don’t worry Ahana…They won’t know how did you wake up Ansh today.” He whispered.
” Dad!!” I said smiling. He was really awesome. Jolly and lively. I don’t know how am I going to live alone with Ansh after they move out.
” Anything to know?” Grandad asked.
” No…” We replied together.
” Hey! Fellas..
Morning…” Ansh came and sat beside me, smelling so good and fresh.
” You like it?” He whispered in my ears and I smiled.
” Good Morning…” Everyone said together.
” So… What’s up this morning?” I asked to that couple sitting right in front of us.
” Hmmm… Actually… We came here to tell you that we are getting married. ” Jaai said beaming with happiness.
” Woahhh!! That’s cool. And when?”
” End of this year probably, since it’s still the 3rd month going on. I want a destination wedding. I don’t want to give him reasons to be late. ” Zara said making everybody laugh.
” That’s amazing… Which place? ” Dad asked.
” That’s why we are here. Wanted Ansh and Hana’s help for this. And Hana’s is gonna plan the wedding with me. So… ” Zara said looking at me.
I didn’t answer for a while. Ansh grabbed my hand beneath the table, he was aware what was happening in my heart.
” I hope you don’t mind Hana… I know you’ll have to handle the babies too but Ansh is there, right? C’mon, we can’t do this without you. ”
I was still in no position to answer. I don’t even know whether I’m going to live or not.
” Hana… You will help right? ” Jaai asked again.
” Of course… She will… Don’t you worry about. Have you thought about some place? ” Ansh answered on my behalf.
I squeezed his hand tightly and he gave me a very beautiful smile.
It meant that everything’s gonna be alright and at that time I believed him completely. He meant that he was always gonna be with me.
” Hmmm… I have thought about Bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket. But Jaai thinks that all those places in Thailand are too clichéd now so let’s find some more options. But I’m more firm with the beach wedding. It’s exciting. Right Hana? Actually we both wanted one.” Zara said.
I smiled. Ansh looked at me with a ‘Really’ Look. I wanted one but then I was happy with ours.
” Ahana … Why aren’t you talking? Are you alright? ” Dad asked.
” Yup…. Guys… Chill. We will think of something good. ” They were very much satisfied with my answer.
After the breakfast they left and we came to our room. Dad and grandad went to check the farmhouse.
” Ahana… You really wanted a beach wedding? You never mentioned. ”
” Yeah!! But I’m satisfied with ours. Trust me.” Ansh sat beside me.
” Satisfied is so not like you, Ahana.
I’m sorry that I couldn’t give a fairytale wedding or those sweet surprises that Jaai gives to Zara.”
” Ansh! You really don’t have to feel guilty. You have already done a lot. And I love you for who you are and not for what things you give me.”
” Really? You don’t mind if I don’t give you flowers everyday…”
” WELL, You never give me and I don’t expect it from you. Flowers adorn the gardens. And, For you my dimpled smile works, right? ”
As I said that he pretended to think something.
” What? ” I asked.
” Along with your dimpled smile I want a lot of kisses too. That is what makes my day. ” I smiled widely and quickly captured his lips.

1 week later.
I was waiting for Ansh to return from the office. I had forcefully send him to work. We were neglecting it since a long time. Ansh had a very important meeting and yet he wasn’t willing to go because he didn’t trust me that I will take care of myself.
I had to do a lot of toiling to convince him. After asking me to take a lot of promises he finally left.
I was in the living room watching some news channels when suddenly I felt some cramp in my lower abdomen.
I thought it must be the normal contractions but it was getting worst. Dad and grandad were in their room. I looked at the clock. It was already 4 in the evening. Ansh should be back by now.
The pain was getting miserable now. I think it was time for the babies. I pulled my cell from underneath the pillows. I calmed myself so that I don’t panic.
I was about to dial Ansh when I felt something wet underneath my legs.
” Ahana… Hi…” I heard his voice and it was a relief.
” A-Ansh…” I called him but he wasn’t looking at me. He had a lot of bags in his hand.
” Yes… Sweetie… I have brought your fav…”
” ANSH!! My water broke….” I shouted, panting.
” Huh, WHAT ??”
