Day 3
Never in my life I was so happy. I was in Love and that very beautiful feeling made me feel blessed.
Ahana…. And My Babies….
I can’t live without them…
Not a day not a minute. I never knew that they could mean so much. It’s wonderful when you have someone to love.
I saw Ahana sleeping peacefully with her head rested on my chest. She was 5 months pregnant and I can’t wait to see the babies myself. I have planned a surprise for Ahana and I know she will love it.
I was already wide awake. I had even ordered the breakfast but knowing Ahana’s condition I am well aware that she needs a lot of sleep. And she feels sleepy too. Can’t help that but I enjoy myself having a good look at her.
I moved the loose strands of her hair behind her empty ears, she wasn’t wearing her earing. She moved as I touched her. I kissed her forehead and she opened her eyes closely with a bright smile, stretching her hands. That’s what I live for. To see her dimpled smile.
” Morning Sweetheart…”
” Hmmm… Morning… You already awake?”
” Ahana… We have to go to Bern. Did you forget?”
” Ohh!! I remember. But I don’t feel like getting up… It’s so good here. ”
” Fine… We can extend our stay…”
” No…. Wait… I am getting up. No need to extend it. ” She got up from the bed. I smiled. She was a workaholic person and I know she won’t compromise that.
” Ahana… ” I called her.
” Yup.. ” She stopped before entering the bathroom.
I quickly grabbed her from her waisted and planted a deep passionate kiss on her sweet juicy lips.
I felt her smile too. She can’t resist me.
” Ansh… Morning Breadth… ”
” I don’t mind. I still wanted my morning kiss.” I replied kissing her cheeks again.
Ahana smiled and went in.

” Am I looking Good?” She asked me as I entered the room.
She was in a short off white cream colour dress. It was an off shoulder one. She put her trench coat on. Her baby bump was clearly visible. She looked fresh and amazing.
I was in a blue denims with a white shirt and a blazer. The weather was cool.
” Do You know in what you would be looking Beautiful….”
” What….” She asked confused.
I stretched my arms…
” In my Arms…” I said and she burst into laughs.
” Yeah!! Wh@ťěver…”
Then we had our breakfast of bread, peanut butter and cornflakes. I had coffee while Ahana had chocolate milk.
I swear she is so cautious about the babies that she has stopped drinking coffee, something that she couldn’t live without.
What a self control she has. And I appreciate it.
Ahana.. I must tell, That you haven’t drunk coffee since 5 months…” She looked at me still chewing her food.
” I know Right? But you know what I don’t even have any cravings for it too. In don’t feel like drinking. You See, My babies are making my work easier. ” She said proudly.
I nodded.
We were gonna go to Bern by a car which I had pre-booked but Ahana insisted on going by train. I told her that an hour’s journey would make her uncomfortable but she is more stubborn than me. She wanted to try the train since she couldn’t do that before. I can’t deny her. We Bade a good Bye to the Mexican Couple and set out.
We went to the station by a local bus and fortunately the train had just arrived. Luckily we didn’t have to wait for long.
But I must agree that the train journey was indeed very good and mesmerising. And all the more comfortable too. The scenery was picturesque. I loved it.
” It’s Amazing…” I muttered.
” See… Perks of listening to your wife.” She winked.
After the freshening journey we checked in our hotel although we weren’t spending the night there. The luggage was already transferred before. We rested for a while and then set out for sightseeing.
It was an amazing city. Full of life and fun. From Ahana’s face I would make out that she was enjoying herself to the fullest.
Our first stop was The Famous, Aare, it’s the tributary of the High Rhine and the longest river that both rises and ends entirely within Switzerland. It was so clean and serene.
The air was fresh and pure.
” Life is so good here… Isn’t it?” Ahana said while we were sitting on the bank of the river.
” Interested to Shift here… Forever..” I asked.
” Like… Seriously…” She asked.
” Of course… Wh@ťěver you like…” I replied intertwining our fingers.
” What about business… ”
” We will shift the base here. Not a big deal.”
” But… I can’t live without our family. Ma, Dads, Grandad, Grandpa… And everybody else… I just can’t.
And I don’t want our Kids to grow without a big family.
They should get love from everyone. And I was just testing you… ” She said smiling.
” I knew that. I was just messing with you. And I know you are a family person. That’s why I agreed readily. ”
” Ohhh… ” She said punching me hard.
I laughed.
” And Ansh!! Anyways I like staying in our city. It feels so homely. Few days are fine. I feel homesick very early. ”
” Hmm.. Please don’t feel now, Coz we still have to go a lot of places. ”
” I know… I remember the surprise…”
I was also excited.
From Aare we went to The Bern Historical Museum which is the second largest historical museum in Switzerland. It was interesting and informative.
The next stop was The Einstein-Haus (Einstein House). It is a museum and a former residence. Located on Kramgasse No. 49 in Bern, it happens to be one of the most visited sights.
A flat on the second floor of the house was occupied by Albert Einstein. I am not a science graduate but I enjoyed thoroughly.
And, anyways who doesn’t adore Albert Einstein.
I was least interested to visit a zoo but Ahana wanted to, so we went to The Tierpark Dählhölzli, or Dählhölzli Zoo. It was on the bank of Aare.
There were a lot of people long with there children. And instead of watching the animals Ahana was adoring the cute kids. Any which ways we had a lot of fun eating and having fun.
Then we also visited The Münsterplatz, Cathedral. It was equally beautiful like the Cathedrals we had seen in Zurich.
Our last Muesum was The Zentrum Paul Klee is a museum dedicated to the artist Paul Klee. It has got the most amazing aritecture.
The building was in the form of Waves. The sunlight made it look glistening.
There were many more to visit but we didn’t visit those Coz I was bored and we had to leave soon.
Our last stop was The Gurten. It is a mountain situated just to the south of Bern. There was snow all over the place and it looked like the icing on the cake. We saw the beautifully snow coated Alps far away.
It is famous for hiking, sledging and skiing. But we couldn’t do any of those of we just rested there for some time admist the snow. It wasn’t snowing but the weather was cool and calm. The woolens were a blessing and Ahana held my hand tightly to escape the cold. I pulled Ahana closer and we had a very good time together.
” Wanna go to the Rose Garden?” I asked Ahana looking at the itinerary.
” Ansh… I am already tired. Can we go back? We even have a flight to catch.”
” Yeah!! Sure. You can FaceTime Ma and talk to her. I will check if our fight is on time.”
We had a late night flight. The travel time from Bern to Amsterdam was about 1hr 35mins. We would reach our destination at around past midnight.
Ahana and I had a brief talk with Ma and everyone else. They were also enjoying themselves treating with movies. Later we admired the night clear sky of Bern and had our dinner of Swiss Delicacies.
2 hours before our flight we set out.
” Bern is equally beautiful from the top view …”
” Yeah… It is. Amsterdam also happens to be quite a happening place. ” I replied.
” I can’t wait.”

Day 4
Ahana is sleeping peacefully with her hand wrapped around me rightly as if she never wants to let go. So am I. We landed in Amsterdam at around 3 am in the early morning. Ahana was already exhausted and I regret planning a late night flight but then I didn’t have any option since there were only 4 flights per week. We checked in our hotel early in the morning.
It was already 9 am but I couldn’t find any sign of Ahana waking up. She was drooling. I think she is going to sleep the entire day.
I kissed her cheeks.
” Stop Staring… I ain’t sleeping the entire day…” She spoke suddenly. I nearly jumped.
” Huh!!!” I was surprised. We both were still covered in our duvet.
” Ansh!! I don’t spoil holidays sleeping. I love to travel and I was well awake before you… ”
” Oh!! Is that so? Coz I heard someone one snoring….” I was pissing her off. But I enjoyed it.
” Aergghhh…” But before she could argue more my lips had already found hers.
And I am sure that she loved it. Her hands went behind my head and she caught my hair. I was careful not to put any pressure on her stomach. We moved in a perfect sync and I realised how much I missed kissing her.
After the breakfast we felt the hotel for our usual sightseeing business. I was in the white chinos which Ahana and I had shopped. Although the temperature of Amsterdam was around 10°C, the sun was shining bright. I matched my white chinos with a navy blue round turtle neck t-shirt. Ahana was in a long beige colour trench coat with a short above knee length one peice. Her baby bump was perfectly seen and it looked cute.
” Ahana… Won’t you feel cold?” I was a bit worried because of two weather conditions.
” Hmmm.. I don’t think so. I feel very comfy and If I have my hot husband with me there is a chance that I ll need to remove my coat too.”
” Hahaha!! That wasn’t funny. I just hope you don’t catch a cold.”
” It’s Warm, Ansh…”
” Fine… But of you sneeze just once then we are coming back at once. ”
” Yes… Sir. Can we go now? ” She asked asking my hand.
” Wait… ” I stopped her. I quickly brought her a red woolen cap. I put it on her head and adjusted her hair. It suited her well.
” Happy? ” She asked.
I kissed her forehead and took her hand as we moved out of the hotel.
I had booked a car which we could use to travel nearby places. I always wanted to tour Amsterdam for a day and surprisingly it was the same place that Ahana mentioned. I had prepared a bucket list of things before hand.
Amsterdam is famous for a hell lot of things but we only had a day here Coz I had planned something big for Ahana. We had to leave for a surprise place tonight itself. Hence I had filtered few places according to our interests.
First we started with one of the most and to must visiting Museums. Its true that we have visited a lot of museums from the last 4 days but they all were worth a watch.
First one being, Rijksmuseum.
The State Museum is the biggest and the oldest art and history museum in Amsterdam, almost 200 years old.
Rijksmuseum is a World Culture Center and houses some most exquisite masterpieces like Rembrandt’s ‘The Night Watch’.
The next one was Van Gogh Museum for the Art Buffs. It had a worth watching aritecture too. The right side was entirely built by glass.
This Museum is more popular globally than the epic Rijksmuseum. This six-storey contemporary building holds the largest collection of this troubled artist. We saw the paintings like Sunflower, The Potato Eater and The Bedroom which happen to be very famous. It was close to Rijksmuseum.
On our way there was also Stedelijk Museum but we skipped it and went to the IAMSTERDAM Sign. We click lot of pictures around it. Coz, if you are in Amsterdam then this has to be on your list.
Ahana was in Awe most of the time when were in Museums. She really enjoys the museum time the most. It’s worth it.
After that, since Ahana wanted to desperately go to the Anne Frank’s house turned museum. Ahana had read her diary and she loved her style. Hence we visited that place. I found it a bit confined yet spooky.
I had a glimpse of it in the movie Fault In Our Stars. In reality it was more fascinating and rather spooky.
” Ahana… This place is a bit weird.” I said while we were having a look at the attic.
” Hmm… They didn’t have any option. It was a situation of life and death. Anne along with her parents and elder sister hid here to escape the Nazi’s rule. They were accompanied by another family of three who were also Jews and later another person who was a doctor joined them.
Their non Jews friends helped them externally but then somehow they were found before the war could end and Anne died a miserable death. I really pity her or else we would definitely had a very good author. ” She explained. I was listening attentively.
” You are a Wikipedia. Well, I correctly call you my Google… ”
” Haha!! I know Coz I had read her diary. C’mon now… ”
” Of course… My Know All. What’s next?”
” Let’s go to the Cheese Museum… ” She was excited.
So was I. Who doesn’t Love Cheese, by the way?
It happened to be just a step away from Anne Frank’s House.
Amsterdam Cheese Museum not only offers free cheese tasting but you can also relive the history of cheese making and experience the unique flavour of the best cheese in the whole of Holland.
We got to know about the history of Dutch Cheese and the entire staff was amazing. We tasted Beer Cheese and it actually tasted like Beer.
We even tasted varieties of Gouda Cheese.
” Ansh… I think I will definitely put on weight…” Ahana put another piece in her mouth.
” You will look cute…” I smiled.
” Can we take some home?” I asked.
” Definitely…”
The best part was that they sold vacuum packed cheese which we could easily take back home with us. It wasn’t a huge place but it was fabulous.
” Ansh!! ” She shouted as we stepped out.
” Yup… ” I looked at her quickly.
” You gonna let me do this. I desperately want to do that. ” She jumped.
” What?? You wanna kiss me… I am ready already… ” I said moving towards her.
” No… You jerk… ” She pushed me away.
” Ahana… It’s Europe…” I said running behind her as she walked briskly away from me.
” Fine!! Sorry… What’s you want?” I asked stopping her and making her face me.
” Really?? Are you listening?”
” Always… Tell me. ”
” Don’t get angry……
I want to ride the Tandem Bike… Please..” As soon as she said that I was already laughing.
Ansh!!! ” She pushed me.
” That’s it… You wanna ride a bike?”
She made a puppy face. I realise that I should stop teasing her now.
” Fine… Sorry. But Ahana… I don’t think you will be able to ride one.
Hey!! Ahana… Wait…” My stubborn wife that already begun walking further.
” Ansh! Don’t stop. It isn’t dangerous, if YOU accompany me.”
” I know. But I can’t take risks.”
” Please… For once. ” She pouted.
” Fine… You Win. I Lose. I can’t see you sad. But promise me that you will be careful.” I said holding her shoulders.
” Promise… ” She said and before I could realise she quickly pecked me on my lips.
My eyes were wide open.
” Ahana… ” I was astonished.
” Did you forget we are in Europe? ” She smiled, going towards the end of the street. I ran behind her.
” I think we should visit this place more often…” I said and she was laughing.
Amsterdam turned out to be an Adventure.
We rode the Tandem Bike in every direction until we were tired.
Hence, the best way to relax was a Canal Cruise. Amsterdam is famous for its Canals. It was already dusk now, a perfect time to enjoy this UNESCO Protected Canal Belt. The Bridges are lit up by Fairy lights and the European sidewalks take you back in time.
Amsterdam is a place for Brew Lovers. Heineken Experience happens to be adored by all. Ahana is on no alcohol streak but still we enjoyed some of it together.
” Ahana… Are you interested in going to the Red Light District ?”
” I was just kidding…” I promptly said as she glared at me.
Since the Red Light District wasn’t in our list I had to adjust with the scrumptious Waffles with Maple Syrup. It was delicious. We bought the Senz Umbrellas, which the locals use as Souvenirs. They were rather funny yet fascinating.
We had a authentic dinner consisting of Dutch Specialities like Patatje oorlog, Poffertjes, Stamppot and Bitterballen.
Then we headed for our last stop, Orchestra.
The architecturally marvellous Concertgebouw is home to the Royal Orchestra and is considered as a Dutch National Treasure. It was truly amazing and eased us from all the tiredness.
We returned to our hotel. Our chartered flight was in 2 hours and I am sure we had enjoyed our day to the fullest.
” Ansh!! Now tell me where are we going? Please…” Ahana pleaded as we kept our luggages in our car.
Amsterdam turned out to be a one day trip but it was fun and worth it. We made out the most of it.
” Patience Sweetheart… You will know.”
I replied.
The entire ride Ahana didn’t say a thing. She was sulking the entire way to the airport. After we checked in and had our boarding passes in our hands, I waited to have a look at Ahana’s reaction.
” FINLAND ??….. ” She exclaimed, all in surprise.
” Yes… Northern Lights… Here we come.” I said grabbing her hand and going to our flight.
I didn’t say anything more. Finland is famous for its Northern Lights or also known as Aurora Borealis. And I wanted to see them once in my lifetime. It was on my bucket list.
After we boarded our late night flight I couldn’t miss out Ahana’s constant smile.
” Ansh!! How did you know I wanted to see it?”
” Huh? You wanted to see them. Actually I wanted to. I didn’t know that we have such great choices. Anyways Great Minds Think Alike…” I said smirking.
” Yeah! And Thanks…” She said resting her head on my shoulder.
” Well, Day 4 comes to an end. But the next 2 days are gonna be the best ones in our life. Basically, in our life… Trust me. ” I said.
” I am super excited… ”

The flight was only 2hr 25 minutes long from Amsterdam to Helsinki. We landed at around 2:00 – 2:45 am.
” What the…. Where am I suppose to go now? Do you know what time it is here ? ” I was shouting like a mad person standing outside the airport.
” Ansh!!” Ahana’s soft voice called me.
” What happened? Why and on whom are you wasting your energy?”
I looked at her and her calm face cooled me down.
” A-Ahana… I am sorry. There was some confusion during the booking of our room as we needed it only for few hours. The manager messed it up. So, now there’s everything full in all the 5 & 7 stars of Helsinki as it’s the peak season. ” I informed holding her hand. It was cold and there was snow all over.
” Oh!! It’s fine. So are we suppose to return? ” She asked calmly.
” Wait… No… Thankfully I have crossed checked our reservations in Kakslauttanen Arctic Resorts. And they will send us a car at around 8 in the morning. The question is where will we stay till then. It’s already cold here. I forgot to check and that person messed up. ”
” It’s Fine… Look there. “She said pointing at a distance.
” There’s a Inn there. We can stay there. ” Ahana said pulling me towards our car.
” What?? No ways. We aren’t staying in any low class Inn. ” I stopped her.
She folded her hands and stood beside me. Her baby bump has surely grown a lot and I couldn’t help noticing how cute she looked.
” So… Are we suppose to spend the night standing in cold?”
” No… I can arrange for a car and we can leave for the resort at once.” I said, that’s what came first in my mind.
” Ansh!! Look at me. I am tired. I can’t travel anymore and I want to rest… On a bed. If a 5 star hotel isn’t available, so what? We can stay in a Inn too. I don’t mind and YOU are a complying me. ”
” Ahana!! No… We don’t know what kind of people are staying there… Ahana.. ” She didn’t even let me finish and she was already in the car which was supposed to take us to our hotel.
I got in quickly. Nobody can mess with her.
” Excuse me, Can you please take us to that nearby Inn?” She said to the driver.
” Ahana… ”
” Ansh!! Chill… ”
I was regretting not cross checking the arrangements. We were in a completely new different place and we didn’t know anyone. It was already starting to snow now. My intuitions weren’t telling me either that anything good is going to happen tonight.
The driver dropped us at a weird old style looking Inn. It was a shack type and sort of looked creepy to me.
” Ahana… Are you sure we are going in? We can wait at the airport and catch the 10 am flight to Ivalo….” I said.
” What?? Ivalo?” She looked at me all confused.
” Yeah!! Actually Car ride takes around 11 hrs and a flight to Ivalo takes about an 1 or 2 hrs, I suppose. ” I said.
” What the… ” Saying so Ahana rested her back on the nearby car.
” What??”
” My Dear Husband… So what have you planned? And stop irritating me Coz it’s 3:15 am and I am d@mn tired and cold.” She was angry.
I didn’t have a choice either. We only had less a week’s vacation.
” Wh@ťěver you want… I have booked us a flight too and have arranged a car. What do you want?” I asked calmly trying not to agitate her.
I could see the change of her expression. She was definitely angry. Anyways she had to be.
” Ansh!! I want to go home…”
” Ahana… I am sorry Okay… Let’s go in and then decide. ” I said pulling her with me. Our size of the luggage had definitely increased from two bags to three. And I had to carry it.
As soon as we entered in I dropped the bags on the wooden floor and it gave a terrible cracking noise. The receptionist was probably sleeping. It wasn’t that bright inside and I had a very strong urge to go back. That weirdo woke up and rubbed his eyes.
” Ahemmm…. ” I hummed.
” Hei, kuinka voin auttaa…” He said something in a hoarse voice rubbing his eyes.
Ahana captured my hand and drew closer to me. She was scared now. I could make that out.
” Ansh! What is he speaking?”
” Tarvitset jotain…” He said something again.
” Honey!! How am I suppose to know? I don’t speak Finnish or maybe it’s Swedish…” I replied in a whisper.
” Then talk to him… It’s because of you that we are stuck here. And how do you know which language is that? ”
” Because of Me… It’s because of You.. Ahana…. I didn’t suggest this place. ” It was more than a whisper now.
” Ansh don’t blame me… OKAY!! Accept it’s your fault…. And because of your some stupid surprise… ” She was pretty loud now and Yes!! We were fighting now… After a long time…
She let go of my hand and was ready to start an argument.
” You call my surprise stupid…. ” I said.
” Ansh!!! ” She was about to shout further when that guy whom we thought didn’t exist drew something that caught my as well as Ahana’s notice. It was shining in the dim light.
“Guys … Lopeta. Tarvitsetko tilaa yöksi?” He said making us stop and he had a knife in his hand.
And he was coming towards us. Closer with every passing moment.
” Ansh!! You know karate… Right??”
Ahana asked jumping towards me. She wrapped her arms around me.
” No… I thought you knew…”
