ANSH’S POV
When I returned home, everything was dark. Only a dim light coming from our room was visible. I wonder where did Ahana go or what was she doing.
I slowly tip toed in the room. Then I saw Ahana sleeping. I was a bit surprised to see her sleeping like this. She is normally awake till I come home.
But pregnancy is bringing out a lot of things from her. And I was loving, all of them.
After having a good long stare at her I went for a shower. It felt refreshing.
I was a bit hungry, so I went to the kitchen and surprisingly there was nothing to eat.
I don’t know if Ahana ate or not and why wasn’t there anything. It was around 10:30 when I came.
I called Dad, and he informed me that they had gone to his old friend’s house. So, technically I had nothing to do, so I went back and slept beside Ahana.
I was worried a bit when my eyes opened and Ahana wasn’t beside me. I got off and found her in the kitchen. She must be hungry.
“….. I loved it.”
When she said that, it felt really good. I was never aware that it would be such a good feeling.
Her huge smile with those dimples made my tired day. It was genuine and I know she liked it. Just then we heard Dad’s husky voice.
” Dad!!!”
” Hmmm… What?? Did you guys think that we won’t be coming home tonight? I can see that you are enjoying yourselves.
” Dad said coming towards us. Grandad was just behind him. I quickly retreated form Ahana’s side.
” So…. Are you two on a date? This late night. And what is it that the baby would love? I am curious to know. ” Grandad said giving a smile and sitting at his usual place on the dining table.
Ahana quickly served them water.Well…. Actually we are not on a date or something like that. I was just hungry….. ” Ahana was saying but then I interrupted.
“….. Hungry or Craving ?
Dad, Ahana was craving to have something cheesy.”
” So, he cooked Pasta for me. And it’s really delicious. You should try it. ” Ahana said serving them.
” Sure… We will. After all, We don’t get to eat such delicacies and that too, cooked by him. ” Grandad said pointing towards me.
” Hmmm.. It’s actually good. ”
” Ahana… You must have such cravings daily. Because of you we will enjoy…. Isn’t it? ” Dad said looking at me.
After a while they went back to their room. Ahana and I too went after eating and cleaning up the mess.
” Ansh… Thanks… ”
” Welcome… Always. Come on now… Let’s grab some sleep. ”

The morning rays felt good. I saw Ahana sleeping beside peacefully me. Her hand wrapped around my waist. Showing some sort of possessiveness which I liked.
I didn’t want to leave her but there was something important that I had to attend this morning.
So, I quickly freed it. There were some strands of hair falling on her face. I removed those and tucked them back. She moved for a while. Taking the chance I kissed her forehead. I glanced at her for the last time and went for a shower.
When I returned after 15 minutes, Ahana was still asleep. She rarely sleeps so much. I think she must be really exhausted. Just then I saw my cell ringing.
” Mike… I was expecting your call.”
” Yes Sir….”
” So… Did you find what I asked you? I hope you won’t disappoint me.”
” Absolutely sir. I have all the information. But there is a problem.”
” Hmmm… You know I don’t like to hear that. But tell me. ”
” You will have to make a call and speak to them. Or it would sound weird. ”
” I ll do that. Thanks…. ”
I hung up. I grabbed my wallet and handkerchief and just as I was about to leave I heard Ahana’s cell beeping on the desk. It was on silent mode.
I saw the Id.
‘ Dr. Bhatt’
I picked it up.
” Hello Doctor.. It’s Ansh speaking.”
” Hi… Mr. Raichand. Where is Ahana? ”
” Actually, she is sleeping. Is it urgent? Should I wake her up?”
” No. That won’t be necessary. Actually I called her to get your number. I would have to make a silly excuse. Good you picked up. ”
” Yes… Tell me. ”
” It’s something important, regarding Ahana. Can you please come to my clinic? I know you are a busy person… ”
” That wouldn’t be a problem. I will come right away. Anyways I was leaving for my office. I hope it isn’t anything serious.” I said.
Hi
” It would be better if we speak one-to-one. I will be awaiting your arrival. ”
” Yeah!! I will reach within an hour. ” I hung up.
Now I was getting a bit worried. Mrs. Bhatt did sound a bit of serious. I hope the matter isn’t serious and Ahana is perfectly alright.
I called Jen telling her to reschedule my meetings and postpone them by about hour and half. I kept Ahana’s cell phone beside her and kissed her
forehead. Downstairs also the atmosphere was calm. I grabbed an apple and left the house.
I reached the clinic within an hour.
” Ah!! Mr. Raichand. Morning. I was waiting for you. Please follow me.”
” Morning… And Ansh would be fine.”
She nodded. I entered hey cabin. It was huge, spacious and airy.
” Tea or coffee?”
” No thanks…. I am good. You said you wanted to speak to me regarding Ahana. ”
” Yeah! I wouldn’t take much of your time. Please take a look at this. ” She said pointing towards her laptop screen.
” Here…. Do you see these… ? ”
I gasped at what I saw. I was really shocked and mostly surprised.
” Ansh…. Don’t tell me Ahana didn’t tell you about this. ”
I was speechless.

I couldn’t concentrate on my work after what Dr. Bhatt said. Why didn’t Ahana tell me? It was ki||ing me inside. I had to have answers. I am supposed to know each and everything that was happening to her and this is the most important of all. Why did she do this to me? It’s frustrating already.
” Sir….”
” Yes, Jen….” She interrupted my thoughts.
” Mike is here…. ”
” Send him in. And don’t disturb me today. I will go home early.”
” The Meeting with the Mehta’s?”
” I will text them. I have some other important work.”
” Okay!!” Saying so she left. I don’t know how will I be able to concentrate today. I need to go home.
God!! Ahana…. You will drive me crazy one day…
” Sir, May I come in? ”
” Ya!! Mike…. Do you have the number? It’s been more than a year now. I just hope that everything goes right. ”
Mike handed me a file. I dialed a number.
” Hello.. I am Ansh Raichand speaking. Can I speak to Miss. Rose?”
I just hope she remembers me. No one could forget me although, but still. She is a very important client as well as a partner now.

AHANA’S POV
I woke up to find the space beside me empty. I was a bit disappointed. Then my eyes fell on the clock.
God!! It’s 10 am. I slept so long. But I was feeling fresh now.
But it felt good to sleep. I put my hand on the swollen belly. Yesterday, night’s events replayed bringing a smile on my face.
” Hi! Sweetie… Did you like what Daddy made for you?”
I am sure you liked it. I laughed at myself. Then I saw a sticky note on the mirror.

Seriously!! Am I blushing? Why??
I picked that note and kept it in my clutch. Along with the one that Ansh gave me on my B’day. I don’t know why I did that but I just couldn’t help. I quickly went for a long warm shower. I washed my hair and took a bubble bath. Sometimes it feels good to pamper oneself.
I got in a knee-length loose striped dress. It was very comfy. By the time I went downstairs it was already 11. I saw Dad and grandad sitting on the sofa.
” Morning….” I said in a chirpy voice.
” Hi… You look very happy today. Is my son the reason behind?” Dad commented as I sat beside him. He is always like this and I like him that way.
” Yeah!! Maybe….” I said smiling.
” Good to hear that. Looks like you have grabbed a long night’s sleep. You didn’t come down for breakfast and even Ansh left with an apple only. I think the midnight treat is responsible.”
I was laughing now. They are the most adorable people I have met.
” Hmm… Even I don’t know. Normally I get up along with Ansh only. ”
” It’s fine Ahana. You need all the rest and the baby too needs it. Right? ” Grandad said.
I nodded.
But I know somewhere deep down I know I am hiding something from them and Yeah!! From Ansh too. It’s their right to know about it but then it will have to wait.
” Ahana! You want to tell us something.” Dad said looking at me.
” Huh!! No… Nothing…”
” Mam… You will have breakfast?” Sara asked me.
Oh! Sara… I think it’s a bit late for breakfast. I ll directly have lunch.”
” Okay!! As you say….”
” Ahana…. ”
” Yes! Grandad….. ”
” Well… I was saying that you are already 4 months pregnant and within a few months the baby will come, so I suggest that you and Ansh must spend some time together. ” He said in the calmest voice.
How I wish to spend some time with him but I don’t know where this relationship is headed.
” I can speak to him too, I will ask him to take a small vacation. ”
” No… Dad. That won’t be necessary. There is a lot of work to do and since I am also not going to the office he is burdened. But I will speak to him.”
” Promise….”
” Yay!! Promise…. ”
I don’t think I will be able to keep this promise Dad.
Later on we had lunch and I returned to the room. I wasn’t able to find the watch which Dad had gifted me. Asking Sarah didn’t help too, she was clueless. I started to search for it again since I didn’t have anything else to do in the afternoon.
I had completed reviewing my files too.
I started with the drawers beside my bed. Just then my cell rang.
” Yes! Ma….” She had called after a long time.
” I am coming to visit you in the evening. Are you home?”
” Yes!! I am home. Come soon…. Bye….”
It had been a long time since we met. Last we me on my anniversary. I know that’s not long but it felt so.
I resumed my search.
In the first drawer I found something that I didn’t intend to see. I never want to see it.

Which Ansh and I had signed. It’s already a year since then. I looked through the pages. It looked a bit weird. There were some kind of stamps that I didn’t recognise.I didn’t see it carefully at that time. Then I saw my signature.
Wishing that I never signed it in the first place. But… Then we did sign it… It happened.
I kept it in my purse. I thought I will keep it in the office. Somewhere, where it couldn’t be found easily. I don’t want anyone to know about it.
As soon as I removed it I found something else beneath it.

God!! Seriously… The last one was the cutest of all.
I didn’t buy any of them. Then I saw the bookmarks in them and along with some notes. Man!! They were in Ansh’s handwriting.
No!! This can’t be real.
Was he reading all this? I even saw some ticks beside few lines. I went to through all of them.
Should I be happy, surprised or shocked??
I prefer to be happy. I was grinning the entire. This was surely an expected surprise. I gathered the books and kept them on the desk.
Ansh!! You really surprise me…..
After almost an hour Ma came. She brought many sweets and things to eat for me. God!! I was craving so much now.
I am surely going to become fat now. I missed her yogurt too. She didn’t forget to bring it.
” Aha!! You are glowing…. How is your health?” She asked caressing my hair. We were sitting with a cup of coffee for Ma and hot chocolate for me. I was on a coffee ban.
” I am fine. And so is the baby.”
She took my hand in her. I think she noticed what she shouldn’t.
” Ahana….. ”
” Yes Ma…”
” Why aren’t you wearing your ring? Is something wrong with Ansh and you? Did he say something to you? Don’t hide anything from me. ”
” Ma… Ma… Chill. Everything is fine. There was a mark because of it, so I removed it for some time. ” I lied. I shouldn’t but I wasn’t left with any choice.
” Are you sure? Don’t lie Honey. Is Ansh taking good care of you? ”
Yes Ma…. Not better… Do you see that over there? ” I said pointing towards the books.
” Don’t tell me. Ansh is reading them?”
She said going through them.
I could tell she was equally flabbergasted. I don’t know how much Ansh has applied from that, but he was taking efforts was more than for me. I was very happy.
” Yes!! He is…. So what do you think now?”
” Ahana… Trust me. You are lucky.”
I nodded. Even I thought so now.
And then we started our normal gossips like we used to do. I told her about Ansh’s amazing pasta, and then she told me about how Dad and grandpa were enjoying their time.
At around 8 pm she left.
I asked her to have dinner with us, but then she said that everyone else was waiting for her. After a brief meet with Dad and Grandad she left. I was waiting for Ansh now. It’s time now.
It’s already 9, and he is still working. Sara had called me twice for dinner but I refused. I asked her to serve to Dad and Grandad and leave. I told her Ansh and I will have dinner together.
I was waiting for him in the balcony. When suddenly I left some drops of rain. I stretched my hand out.
Rains!!! In February!! Wow….
Seriously…. No one can predict rains in Mumbai. I loved rains. But I couldn’t enjoy myself in the monsoons, so I thought to have some fun. I removed my slippers carefully and tiptoed out. The ground was wet already. I carefully walked further. The rain was falling slowly. I untied my hair. They sky had very few clouds yet the rain felt refreshing. It wasn’t falling hard.
The drops felt cool and beautiful. I smiled and whirled around.
Jaai , Zara and I always used to dance in the rain. It was the best time we shared together. The most happy time. I was almost drenched now.
As soon I turned around my leg suddenly turned and I slipped. I closed my eyes tightly. And I think I lost my balance. I was about to taste the ground.
” Oh!!! God!! Please don’t let anything happen to my babies. Please…..” I prayed with my eyes shut tight.
” I won’t let anything happen to you or to our babies. Trust me Ahana…..”
I didn’t realise I was in someone’s arms. My head engulfed in the crook of his neck. My hands wrapped around his neck. My eyes still shut tight.
” Ansh!!!” I said recognising his familiar smell, Davidoff Coolwater.
I clutched him tightly. I was already wet now and so was he. I was completely secured in his strong built arms. At once, he picked me up and I grabbed him and my hands moved through his hair. I was scared like hell. There were tears in my eyes.
Having Fun in rain was definitely a bad idea.
” Ahana….. You are fine now and so are the babies….. Open up…”
I opened my eyes slowly. He put me down and I released my firm hold. He quickly brought a nice clean towel and covered my head and held me close to him. I didn’t realise what was happening.
I felt his slow breaths close to my ears. My hands were on his chest now.
I could feel it’s toughness because his shirt was completely wet now. I could feel his vest too as my hand was firmly placed on it.
” Ahana… When were you planning to tell me that we are having Twins?”
