FIVE DAYS LATER ?
It’s been five days since Charmaine has woken up and she has been discharged Three days ago same as Veronica.
“Careful and watch your steps” Vincenzo said to Charmaine as he holds her hand
” Stop treating me like a baby,I can walk by myself”
“The doctor advised that you shouldn’t stress yourself especially for the baby’s health” Vincenzo protested
“Wh@ťěver” she rolled her eyes and continue walking to the living room while Vincenzo trailed behind
Veronica watch them with a smile on her face but the smile disappear as she remembered the message she got from Xander this morning
?Am leaving for Chicago tommorow and I need the girl tommorow,if I don’t get her, you know that’s your Doom ?
Thinking about this made her restless that she left for her room.

Veronica pace around her room with different thoughts in her mind
Knowing that Alexander meant his thr_@t made her more restless
“I can’t afford to be ranted out,I need to do something” she thought
Just then,a mischievous plan came to her hand and her face beamed with smile
“Yes!! She scream silently in excitement and in victory
She pick her phone which was laying on the bed and texted Xander
✉️I’ll lure her to you tomorrow, you can abduct and take her with you to Chicago” she texted
✉️ Great plan, let’s meet at the river Park by 12pm tommorow” Xander replied almost immediately
✉️Ok tomorrow it is then, she texted back with a smile and drop her phone back on the bed
“Now am safe* she thought in relief
“Am sorry Charmaine,I really want you to become my daughter in law but I can’t take the risk” am sorry” she muttered feeling a bit guilty
NEXT MORNING ?
“Good morning daughter” Veronica greeted as
” Good morning Mom” how was your night?? She asked pecking Veronica cheek before taking her seat
“Great, she replied serving Charmaine meal
“Thanks” Charmaine said appreciativey and Veronica smile in return
” Charmaine if you don’t mind, can you accompany me to see my friend?
“Of course,am feeling homesick so I don’t mind” Charmaine replied
Veronica did a happy dance in her head.
” Get ready then,we will leave by 11:30″
“Ok Mom, she replied

Exactly 11:30, Veronica drives out of the compound with
“Why didn’t you allow the driver to take us? Charmaine asked
“Nothing, I just feel like driving today” Veronica replied trying hard not to stutter

Xander waited for Veronica’s arrival,he was impatient
“Where the hell is Veronica” he groaned in frustration bringing out his phone to call her but a voice made him stop
“Hello Alexander” he heard a deep farmiliar masculine voice
His body shredded in fear, and his hands shooks nervously,he turns his back slowly till he was no facing the figure
He staggered back in shock and almost fell but he holds himself
“Ka….Ka…Karl”he stuttered gulping down nothing
“Hello best friend” Karl replied with a mischievous glint
” Yo…Yo…You.are..alive?
” Of course, surprised?? Don’t be cos I never die nor am I dying soon” Karl said with a deep chuckle
“H… How? He asked in disbelief
” That’s a story for later, but first we have a score to settle” Karl replied but before Xander could say another thing,he was hit on head from behind and he passed out
“Take him to the car” he ordered the man who hit
” Ok boss” the man bowed carrying Alexander to the car as ordered
” Veronica it’s time for you to start reaping what you sow” he thought

“Mom why are we here? Charmaine asked as Veronica pulled up in a secluded area
“My friend wants us to meet here” Veronica replied looking around for Xander
“Ok, but this place is somehow quiet” Charmaine added feeling uncomfortable
” Where the f-__-k is Xander? Veronica thought, just then she heard a beep on her phone
She brought out her phone from her purse and check who had messaged her
?I have something to do, let’s meet some other time, Xander”. she reads balling her fist
“What the hell is wrong with Xander? She thought seething her teeth in anger which Charmaine didn’t failed to notice
“Mom are you okay? Charmaine asked staring at Veronica’s face
“Am fine,my friend texted me to meet another time” am sorry for the inconveniences”
“It’s okay Mom, let’s leave
“Yeah, Veronica replied and start the car .

~EVENING~
“Nanny am done with homework” little Nick shouted as he climbed down the stairs
” Ok, let’s go and have dinner or do you wanna wait for dad? Charmaine asked
“Yes,he replied and Immediately they heard the driving in of car
“Seems like your dad is home already” Charmaine beamed
Vincenzo walk in looking a little bit tired.
” Daddy!! Little Nick ran to him
” My champ” he growled excitedly picking him up
“How was school?
” Splendid” little Nick replied with a small giggle
“Welcome Vincenzo” Charmaine greeted
” Thanks Charm and I got something for you”
“What is that? Charmaine asked with a smile
” Come in” he ordered and a man in his late 40’s walked in
” Who is he? She asked
“Meet your driver, Karl Johnson” he introduced Karl who had a small smile on his face
“Driver? For what? She asked in confusion
“I got a car for you though it will be delivered tomorrow morning_
” Really
“Woow! She screamed excitedly as she ran to him
” Thank you, thank you” she hugged him happily together with little Nick
Veronica who was inside the kitchen heard her noise and came out
She froze on her spot as her eyes caught Karl who
“No..No…No… it’s just an imagination” she tried to convince herself but her relief was shattered as Karl turns to her revealing his face, she didn’t know when a scream erupted from her mouth
“Ghost! Ghost! Ghost! She shouted catching everyone’s attention
” Mom”
“He is a ghost! He is a ghost; she shouted pointing at Karl who was had an innocent Expression on his face
” Mom are you okay? Vincenzo asked looking confused of his mother behavior
Veronica shook her head as she started breathing heavily as Karl was now standing at her front staring at her mischievously
” Ma’am is everything ok?” Karl smile maliciously though Vincenzo and Charmaine couldn’t see him because he was backing them
“Are you okay ma’am? Karl asked seething his teeth in anger as he walk towards her
” Don’t come near me! Stay away! She shouted but Karl ignored her as he kept walking to her
“Mom! Charmaine called in concern
Veronica saw that Karl was almost near her, she tried to make a run but it was too late
“Ma’am” Karl smirk as he caught her hand
” Noooooooo!!! She screamed as Karl touch her, and in a blink she passed out
