Vincenzo groaned lightly as he tries to open his eyes
He squinted his eyes repeatedly before he was able to open it finally
He sat on the bed with a groan as he felt a splitting headache
He looks around his environment and was surprised to see that he was in his room
“How did I get here?
” When did I fall asleep?
” I could remember beating up Alexander” he muttered trying to remember last night event but couldn’t
“You are awake”
“Shana” he muttered in suprise seeing Shana with a tray in her hand
” Good morning” Shana greeted
“How did I get here” he asked
“You don’t remember anything
” No I don’t” he replied
“Something crazy happened to you last night, she said and begins to explain
“What?? She ran mad
” Sincerely, she had been transferred to psychiatric hospital” Shana replied
“What really happened to her!
” I don’t know though am planning on checking up on her after work
“Wait! What about Charmaine? He asked hurriedly
“Still unconscious” she replied and Vincenzo countenance change into a sad one which Shana notice
” Don’t be sad bro” she will be fine” she console patting his back

Vincenzo came out of the car after parking it.
He sighed heavily as he stared at the hospital with different thoughts
He doesn’t know why he is feeling guilty like he had cheated on Charmaine
After sometime he enter the hospital
” Mr DeMarcus you are welcome” the doctor said as he saw Vincenzo
“Thanks, how is my wife doing! Vincenzo asked since the doctor thought Charmaine is his wife
” She has been moved into normal ward and your Mom is with her” the doctor replied
“Where is the ward? He asked
” I’ll take you there” the doctor offered
” After you doc” he said and the doctor lead the way

“d@mn*am late for work! Shana cursed as she came out of the elevator as it stopped at her office floor
She enter her office and was surprised to see Chris sitting on her chair
“Boss” she bowed
“You are late Miss DeMarcus” he said standing up from the chair
” Am sorry boss, something came up at home,am sure my big bro would have told you about it” she replied
” So? He said nonchantly
“As a secretary it’s your duty to inform me that you will be late to work but you didn’t which shows that you are not serious with your work and as your boss,I don’t think I can complain anymore” he added
“Am so_
” You are fired! He cut in
“What? She uttered in utmost shock
” Your payment for the whole month has been to your account,so when you are done take your stuffs and leave

“Are you still angry that I refuse to follow you to the dinner?
Remember that Chris wanted her to act like his girlfriend so he could stop his parents from getting him married to a stranger, Shana refuse him
“Why should I be? Instead am very grateful that you didn’t follow me cos the girl my parents wanted me to marry is my type of woman and someone a man could be willing to spend the rest of his lives with”he replied
“Stop saying that, you are hurting my heart” she muttered trying so hard not to cry.
“That is what I want,to hurt you”,I want you to feel the pains of being rejected and also humiliated” he replied coldly
“Get your stuff and leave! He ordered and left the office
Shana tears started falling like there’s no tommorow
“It’s all my fault,I shouldn’t have turn down his love back then” she said in between tears.

Mrs DeMarcus look around suspiciously as her phone kept ringing, seeing no one in sight, she answered the call
?Why the hell are you calling me Alexander? Do you want Vincenzo to find out that am still in contact with you! She snapped
? Leave the long talk Veronica, I need money” Alexander said and Mrs DeMarcus frowned
? What money? What about the 20 million dollars I sent to you five days ago” Mrs DeMarcus protested
? That small amount Veronica, don’t be stingy Veronica, if I could still remember you ki||ed your husband just so you could took possession of his money and properties” he snapped and Mrs DeMarcus balled her first angrily
?Fine! Before today ends another 20 million dollars will be sent into your account”she said

” That annoying bastard! She cursed seething her teeth in anger
She turns her back to leave but stop dead on track as she saw a figure at her front
Veronica froze in shock as she saw the image in front of her
“Ka…. Ka… Karl.. she stutter as sweat were forming
” Hello Veronica” Karl replied with a cold intimidating voice and her body shivered in fear
“No… No… No… It’s a dream, it’s just an imagination” she muttered nervously and in fear closing her eyes hoping it’s her imagination
“It’s not” he chuckled
” You are dead… I ki||ed you… You are dead” she screamed
” I resurrected wifey” he replied smugly
” No… Noooooooo! She screamed out drawing the people’s attention from inside as they all rush out
“Ma’am, are you okay? The nurse asked rushing to Meet her,
“Ghost” ghost! She ranted loudly before passing out
“Get the stretcher! The nurse order and Immediately a stretcher was brought and she was placed on it
Karl came out of his hidings and a smirk left his lips
“Your worst nightmare is here Veronica, my next Target” he grinned mischievously and cover his head with the hoodie before leaving
