Donovan staggered back and almost immediately another punch landed on his lips, he staggered back trying to maintain his balance but another punch landed on his face and he lost his balance
Danica gasped in shock
David pulled him up by his collar sending another punch his way but Donovan blocked it with his left hand and returned the punch
Fight started
“Donovan, David stop it both of you,” Mrs. Winfrey shouted coming towards them
David withdraws back, blood rolling down his mouth
Donovan touch his lips and chuckled
“What is wrong with both of you?” their mother scolded, her gaze moving from one person to another
“It’s nothing Mom,” Donovan said while touching his bloody lips
Without saying a word David stormed off, Ashley ran after him
Danica looked at him not knowing what to say, what just happened? Have they been fighting?
“Let’s go,” Donovan held her hand pulling her out

“David,” Ashley called running towards him
“What?” he snapped, staring at her with those angry look on his face

“He’s so hard to deal with,” she muttered

Rolando was walking down the hallway when he felt eyes on him, slowly looking around he could feel everyone’s gaze fixed on him, he ignored them and walked into the cafe
“hey everyone, it’s the guy that f-__-ked his sister,” someone shouted pointing at him
Laughter filled the air

The whole crowd burst into hilarious laughter, filled with rage Rolando launched at the guy but Justin came out of nowhere and blocked him
“isn’t he saying the truth?” he asked with a straight face
Rolando shifted back a little
“Of all the girls in Chicago you choose to f-__-k your blood even knowing that she’s your sister but she’s not cos she’s my sister and if I say you near her again I will make sure you regret it, go f-__-k your mother’s p@zzy wimp,” Justin spat
Rolando made to punch him but seeing all the boys behind him he calmed down, he was alone, not even a single person stood by him
Turning around he ran out from there, tears rolling down his cheeks
“He was wrong, very wrong,” George said in his usual calm voice
“I can’t believe he did that,” Maddie muttered
“Me too, it’s so disappointing,” Tyler replied and rolled his eyes
“We are cutting him out, literally!” Oprah brought out the group picture they snapped and right before everyone’s eyes she tore Rolando’s part off

Rolando went to the rooftop and sat there, he lowered his head resting on his knees, tears came rolling down his eyes

Joy pushed the door open and the president who was on a phone call ended the call immediately after she entered
“You sent for me sir,” she said softly
“Yeah,” he muttered and picked up a file from his desk, passing it over to her
“You have been a good doctor Joy and have done wonderful work for this hospital,” he started
Joy stared at the file before taking her gaze to him, she was dying of curiosity already
Mr. Greenwood sighed
“The American medical board called, I can’t risk this whole hospital for just one person, I’m sorry Dr. Phillip but I have to let you go,” Mr. Greenwood dropped the bombshell
Joy couldn’t find her tongue for over two minutes, she stood there staring at him like a statue, did he just fire her? Is this how far Alex can go?
“You may leave,” he added and she nodded, fighting back tears.
Joy was about to open the door but Mr. Greenwood’s voice called her back, she turned and looked at him
“Why did you violate the disabilities law?” he asked staring at her
She sniffed
“I don’t want Alex for George,” she replied gently
“Why?” he added
“She’s five years older and… and… she…” she thrilled off, not knowing how to tell him about her other life
There was silence
Two minutes went by without anyone saying a thing
“My wife is ten years older than me,” Mr. Greenwood suddenly said
Joy’s eyes widened instantly, did she just hear him right?
“We met at a coffee shop, I was still in high school and she was in college studying medicine, she was so annoying that I bet 300,000 dollars to get in bed with her, my friends agreed, it was hard but I succeeded. They paid me as agreed but I rejected the money cos I was already in love with her, I told her the truth and she was so mad that she avoided me for three months, two weeks and five days, I pleaded but she never loosen up, I blame myself for falling in love with her when it was supposed to be a bet but then my mind blamed me for betting on her, one day she came to my hostel uninvited, after a long conversation we became friends again and from friends to lovers, from lovers to husband and wife, that’s how we ended up having Danica first then Tyler before Maddie,” he explained
“And you’re comfortable with that? She’s older than you, she’s like the head and she might use it against you someday,” Joy said with a squeezed face
Mr. Greenwood chuckled softly
“When I look at her all I see is my wife, we respect each other’s differences and opinions that’s all that matters……” that was interrupted by Mrs. Greenwood who walked into the office
She walked over to him and pecked him on the lip before settling down then she looked at Joy
“Is everything alright?” She asked staring from one person to another
“darling you didn’t go to the….”
“The one you forbid me to?” she cut in more like a question
“Oh, you should go, Dr. Phillip, don’t forget to make things right,” he said and she nodded
Joy walked out of his office stopping by the door, she looked back staring at them through the glass window, she could see their smiling faces, they look so happy making her doubt if she was truly ten years older than him
“How come Danica never said a word about it?” she thought silently
