Joy ran out of the OR ( Operation room) she held the wall outside painting heavily
Rex who saw her from the gallery followed her instantly, getting outside he saw her leaning on the wall, her hand on her head
“Dr. Phillip,” he called surprised to see her there
“I can’t, she has a tumor in her womb and fibroid and a fetus that is so little, no! I can’t,” she shouted, shaking her head negatively
“Dr. Phillip…”
“She… she only… it’s 70/30% 70 for death while 30 is for me, I don’t want to ki|| somebody,” she stuttered, sweat running down her head
“Dr. Phillip, are you high?” Rex said calmly
She kept quiet but didn’t stop shaking
“You opened her up and left her there, who do you want to finish her for you?” he asked staring at her
She looked at him
“No one told me that she has all that I just know when I got in there, I can’t…”
“What are you? A chicken? Would you let them to take your license instead or will you go in there as a witch that you’re and perform some African magic? It’s you Vs you in there, her death is your choice and decision, stop being a vegetable and act a like a doctor!!!” he scolded

he slowly touched her face, she look at him and he nodded
“You can do it, you know you can don’t disappoint yourself in there, now go, everyone is waiting and watching,” he added calmly
Joy swallowed and nodded, taking a step forward she looked back and he nodded with a smile
“Always take a deep breath and don’t panic,” he said walking away instantly
“I’m not a chicken,” Joy muttered and walked in, Brandon looked at her from his side and chuckled

“Dr. Phillip she’s crashing,” her assistant said fearfully
The loud sound of the life monitor echoes all over the room, showing a line that is going up and down
Joy didn’t even look at her, she maintained a straight face, her hand moving from one place to another
“She’s going down,” a nurse gently tapped her
The line begins to reduce
“NIddle,” Joy said, and it was given to her
“Touch… Brighter!”
She started closing her up
Rex checked his watch and looked at her
“Come on,” he muttered staring at her, tapping his feet, his heartbeat doubled.

“Dr. Phillip,” her assistant panicked, staring at her face
Joy stylishly looked up and her eyes met with Rex, he nodded gently, urging her to go ahead

By the time she finished and looked at the monitor, it was showing just a straight line

Everywhere were silent like a graveyard, Rex lowered his head
“I pushed her too hard,” he muttered, feeling guilty
Joy suddenly took the defibrillator, she didn’t bother to ask for assistance, going over to the control machine she turned it to 360
“What are you doing?” Her assistant asked
She didn’t even look her way, before anyone could know it she placed it against the lifeless woman’s chest
“She got a pulse,” one of th nurses shouted
The life supporting machine return to normal, The shock was too much that no one moved for a second
They were baffled
“But how?” Brandon muttered
The whole crowd watching both inside and outside gave her a standing ovation
Joy looked around and all the emotions she was holding back turn to tears
“You did it, I’m proud of you,” Rex said besides her
She ran into his arms sobbing

Danica walked in and was welcomed by the captain
“How can you hold a man captive when you’re not sure of his crime,” Danica asked
“His car was found at the crime scene,” The captain said, walking by her side
“That doesn’t mean he did it, let him out,” She said
A cop went forward and opened the door, Donovan who was in the Interrogation room walked out
Stabler knowingly bumped into him, using the cotton wool in his hand to rub his neck

“It’s nothing bro,” Donovan replied and tapped his shoulder

Danica didn’t wait for him before walking away with the captain
“Counselor we are looking at a series ki||er case here, a series rapist and a drug dealer, manslaughter and fraud, if all trace back to him then he will be doing life,” the captain said
Danica stop Walking and looked at him she was about to reply when Mrs. Porter walked up to them

He was arrested at home, the cops said his car was found at a crime scene but he didn’t remember going near there and his car was at home with him so what happened?

“Are you blind?” She asked rudely,

“How dare you?” Kristine raised her hand with the thought of slapping him again, Donovan made to hold her hand but someone else was faster
Filled with rage Kristine turned around to know who it was only to receive a resounding slap that reset her brain instantly
