David walked into the hospital only to collide with joy
“Watch it,” she snapped instantly, picking up her IP
“Sorry,” David mumbled gently, David didn’t waste a second as he bent to help, picking up the files he handed them over to her
“Oh, it’s you,” Joy said staring at him, a light smile on her face
He has been coming to the hospital ever since his mother was admitted and she has seen him countless times
He smiled lightly and walked away

“Mom,” David called immediately after he entered the VVIP ward
Mrs. Winfrey gently sat on the bed, staring at him as if he was a stranger
“I bought food,” he added, David pulled the small table closer and dropped the food flask on it, he gently opened it and brought out a spoon
“Where is Donovan?” Mrs. Winfrey asked instead
He looked at her and swallowed nothing, he couldn’t believe that she was asking of Donovan, what about him that has been checking on her every day of the week?
“David come out of it, his your little brother,” he said in his mind shaking his head
“Where has he been? If you see him tell him to come and see me, okay?” she added and he nodded and stood
“I should go look for him,” David replied, he pecked her cheek and smile lightly
“Don’t stay late at night David, it’s dangerous out there,” she said and he nodded and left
Shortly after he left Mr. Winfrey entered, stopping by the door he stared at her for a while before walking fully into the ward
“Jennifer,” he called and sat next to her on the hospital bed
She was silent
“Jennifer you know I love you, I’m sorry but it’s all Donovan’s fault,” he said and held her hand, she looked at her hand before looking at him
Many thoughts ran through her mind as she stared at him
“You know Donovan is a prodigal son….”
“You made him that way, if you didn’t sleep with Ashley Don will never detest you this much, what did you want him to think of you when he caught his own father on top of his woman, you didn’t only f-__-k her but you also……” he covered her mouth before she could finish
A nurse walked in
“is everything alright?” she asked, her eyes roaming around as she observe them
“Yes,” he said
“No,” she said
They both said at the same time
“I want to be alone,” Mrs. Winfrey added
The nurse went closer
“Sir please leave,” the nurse said gently
“My wife……”
“Hospital policy, don’t make me call the guards,” she cut in
Mr. Winfrey stood up and left without saying another word

Alex was about to go into the courtroom when a guy appeared and held her hand, she looked at him and scoffed
“You have been bouncing my calls, why is that?” he asked, shifting closer
“If you don’t let go of me this minute Ricky I will arrest you for assaulting a police officer,” she thr_@tened, the guy’s hand fell and he nodded
“I thought as much,” she mumbled and turned around only to see another guy, she held her forehead and closed her eyes
“Did they send you people?” Alex asked staring at the new guy
“Baby, what happened? Are you sick? Have been calling none stop but it kept directing me to voicemail,” he said and she scoffed
“Alex,” Another called walking up to them
“Excuse me who are you?” Ricky asked staring at the second guy
“I should be asking you that, who are you?” the guy replied
“My baby,” the third guy called, he made to hug her but she shifted backward
“Are you high? We just started dating two hours ago and you want to hug me, it’s over,” she said to his face
They all gasped and exchanged glances
“Wait, you dated him,” Ricky asked and she rolled her eyes
“Are you deaf?” Alex returned the question
“And me?” the third guy asked
“Oh, you’re just for the day, Ricky honey you even lasted two days so be happy, Dion hasn’t even lasted more than 24 hours, and Oliver hasn’t even lasted more than two hours so be happy,” she replied nonchalantly
“What???” they all yelled at once
Passerbys stared at them
“It’s over, all of you,” Alex added walking away
“Vivian” Ricky called
“No, she’s Maddie,”
“No Ruby,” The third guy corrected
“What? You want money?” Alex stopped and screamed at them
“you’re a Ɓîtçh,” Ricky snarled
“I know,” she replied walking way

“When I’m done with all of you, you will avoid women”

{COURTROOM}
“On the first count of attempted murder in the first degree how does the defendant Mr. Donovan Cooper plead?” the Judge asked
“Not guilty your honor,” he replied, his hands crossed together
“People post bail?” the judge asked
“5 million dollars your honor,” Nathan’s lawyer said
“Objection your honor, Mr. Donovan Cooper is not a risk to the people and he has no records, the people request that bail be set at 500 thousand,” Danica said already on her feet
“Objection your honor this is outrageous, Mr. Donovan attacked his ……’’
“Objection your honor is called self-defense, castle doctrine,” says that individuals have the right to use reasonable force, including deadly force, to protect themselves against an intruder,” Danica objected
“I will allow it, bail set at 500 thousand cash,” The judge hit the gravel once

“What happened to my lawyer? Thought I said I don’t want to see your face,” Donovan said rudely
“Well I was hired to do my job and I just did that and if you don’t want to see me please go blind,” She winked at him
Donovan balled his fist tightly glaring at her
“Are you going home or not?” She asked
They were already outside
“Stay away from me…..”
He stopped when she took a few steps closer, stopping right in front of him, she leaned closer and Donovan maintained his ground
“I can be dangerous when am angry so get into this car or I will whoop your @zz,” She whispered into his ear
“Get off my face,” Donovan said in a deep cold voice
Danica smirked and shifted back, she turned around and walked away
He stood there staring at her backside, he was just so mad at her and he’s not ready to forgive her
Danica on the other hand wanted to go with him but truly she didn’t have the strength to fight, she easily cry over little things and staring at his face that time even though she wanted to act tough
The look on his face clearly said that he didn’t want to see her so she just have to leave, she was actually the one that offer to represent him and thankfully his lawyer agreed
She was still walking down the street when a black Van stopped in front of her and two hefty guys jumped down, one of them grabbed her hand roughly and the other one made to spank her @zz but a hand blocked it followed with an uppercut
Turning around she saw Donovan behind her, with just a single kick the other guy went flying to the police car, walking up to the first guy Donovan gripped his collar pulling him up before sending punches to his face
The other guy ran into their Van speeding off instantly
Memories came rushing into his head as he dealt with the guy, the cops came over, it was after some struggle that he released the guy
Donovan grabbed Danica’s hand pulling her towards the car, getting close he opened the door but David closed it back, his gaze fixed on Danica
Danica didn’t seem to understand a thing, she was acting like a lost puppy
“Pretty lady, can we talk,” David said gently but a punch landed on his mouth bursting his lips

“Stay away, all of you! I will ki|| you all, ” Donovan screamed like a lunatic
