POLICE UNIT
Mrs Coker was breathing heavily as she came out of her car in front of the building .
Aunt Kiara came out of the same car and they both rushed into the building where they met five students and the cops.
Miranda, Sarah, Princess, Miguel and Nathan.
Miranda was crying hard as she sat in front of the interrogator.
“Miranda!” Mrs Coker ran to her.
“Why is she crying?, What did you do to my daughter?” She demanded from the cops, looking at their faces around, and while doing that, her eyes caught Princess, and when she saw her necklace, she stood straight.
“Wait….” She muttered shockingly.
“We heard you’re looking for your daughter who has been missing since she was born” a cop said.
“She’s not mission per se, it was my late husband who threw her away immediately I gave birth to her. He wanted a male child as his second child, and immediately he saw it’s a female, he got angry and threw her away before I will up from my sleep after birth” Mrs Coker replied, still walking to Princess.
“This necklace….I remember putting it on her her neck immediately she was born just like I did for Miranda. I still have the last piece of it at home cos I planned to give it to all my babies” she said when she finally got to Princess.
She touched the necklace before looking her in the eye.
“She has been living with a granny at the marketplace. Turns out the granny’s husband found her when he was still alive, he brought her home and named her Princess, but after his death, the granny started maltreating her according to her statement, but she of course endured” the cop continued.
“I met her at the market, and trust me she’s the sweetest girl ever, and that’s why I fell for her” Nathan said.
“Me too” Miguel replied.
“Same here, but then she was still with her former face” Sarah said.
“Former face?” Mrs Coker asked in tears.
“Yes, Brianna and Miranda Billie me a lot, all because they’re both obsessed with Miguel and Nathan. One night, granny Kate sent me out of the house at night, and while walking through the marketplace, Brianna and Miranda kidnapped me and took me to a garbage site where they tore my face with a razor”
“What!” Mrs Coker screamed, crying more.
“I’m sorry!!!” Miranda cried hard.
“Miranda, how could…” Aunt Kiara said unbelievably.
“It was so painful, and I almost died, but Wesley appeared and shot at them. The shot ki||ed Brianna, but it only hurt Miranda, so she was able to escape. Wesley took me and started taking me for Kimberly, and he promised to send me to Korea to get surgery done on my ruined face. Of course I jumped at the opportunity, and he sent me there for the surgery, which is why I have a new face now” Princess explained and brought out her phone.
She showed Mrs Coker the picture of her face when it was still disfigured, and the woman cried more.
“Never knew I gave birth to a monster!, I never knew!!!”
“So that night you came home with a gunshot wound on your arm….” Aunt Kiara said and folded up Miranda’s sleeve, revealing the wound.
“That was it…. right?…. Wesley’s bullet” she said.
“Aunt I love Nathan so much and that’s why I went that length just to…
Before she could finish, Mrs Coker slapped her hard.
“Shouldn’t you be ashamed to spew that out?, How dare you do this to your own sister!!!” She shouted hotly.
“I’m so sorry mum, mum….
Mrs Coker faced Princess again, and she gently held her face as she cried slowly.
“My….my…. daughter?” She cried.
“Mum?” Princess cried too, and in one tight hug, Mrs Coker engulfed her in her arms.
“Daughter!!!”
“Mum” Princess hugged her tighter.
“I’m sorry I didn’t find you earlier”
“It’s not your fault mum” Princess replied.
“I missed you” Mrs Coker started kissing her hair repeatedly, and Princess only cried more.
“I missed you more, mum…”
Nathan smiled, and Miguel did the same.
“I’m so happy for you, my friend” Sarah smiled gladly.
“Miss Miranda Coker can get arrested and be sent to juvenile for a month if you want” the cop said.
“No don’t, she’s my sister after all” Princess quickly said.
“Yes do it!, She has to pay for her bad deeds!” Mrs Coker said.
“No mum, mum please I don’t wanna go to jail please!!, Mum I don’t want to!” Miranda started crying.
“It’s true, you should go there and learn your lesson for a month” Aunt Kiara said.
“Get her arrested” Mrs Coker said, and a cop started taking Miranda away.
“No!, No mum!!, Princess help me talk to her!, I don’t wanna go!, No!!!!” She cried hard till she was completely taken.
“And about Wesley…” a cop said.
“You have to help us, to get him arrested”
“But he’s really not a bad person, he’s just…
“Desperate for love?, We’re aware, but trust me you don’t wanna see the other side of him. He can be dangerous if he’s left to continue roaming around the street” the cop said.
“What are you gonna do to him?” Princess asked.
“Send him to the rehab center and make sure he doesn’t escape ever again till he’s fully recovered” the cop replied, and Princess faced Mrs Coker.
“Mum…
“The psycho really really has to get arrested, I understand he helped you, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s a maniac”she interrupted.
Two cops were sent with Princess undercover, and she boarded a taxi to the main road where she waited for Wesley to come pick her up.
She only waited for five minutes before he showed up, and he rushed to her.
“I waited in front of your school but you didn’t come out, not until I saw your message that you’re here, what are you doing here?” He asked, stroking her hair fondly.
Princess looked him in the eye for a while without talking.
“Talk to me… Kimberly” he said, and she smiled.
“Meet my family” she said, and two undercover cops came out of a car beside them.
“Your… family?” Wesley said, and Princess nodded, but immediately they got to them, they grabbed Wesley.
“Wesley, you need to come with us”
“Cops?” He said and faced Princess slowly.
“You betrayed me…. Kimberly…you betrayed me!!!!” He shouted as he got dragged away.
“I’m sorry” Princess muttered, crying as she watched him getting taken away.
“Kimberly!”
“Kimberly!!!”
