“Can I touch it?” Sally asked, rushing toward Cody but she slipped halfway through.
Falling on top of Cody with their lips on each other.
For a moment, neither of them moved.
They just stared at each other, both of them completely shocked by what had just happened.
Then, slowly, Sally started to move away from Cody.
But before she could get far, he reached out and grabbed her arm.
“Wait” Cody said sniffing her body.
“What are you doing?” She asked.
“Did you drink alcohol?” Cody asked.
Sally’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“How did you know?” She asked.
“The kiss,” Cody replied, touching his lips.
Sally felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment.
“And your breath smells like alcohol too,” Cody said and let go of her arm.
“We are actually having a few drinks in the sitting room,” Sally said.
“So Max and I were wondering if you would…..”
“No” Cody cut her off.
“What?”
“I’m not interested in drinking with you guys,” Cody said.
“Heyy, I haven’t finished yet before you cut in, ” Sally said, frowning.
“I’m not interested in drinking with you guys,” Cody said again, walking away from her.
“Hey, why are you acting like this?” Sally felt a surge of anger rush through her as she went after Cody.
“Since you didn’t eat dinner with us we decided to have a drink with you instead”
“And I said I’m not interested,” Cody replied and sat on his bed.
Sally frowned as she stood in front of him.
“What’s wrong with you?” She asked.
“I really don’t know why you like to distance yourself from people by acting cold which clearly doesn’t suit you” Sally said.
“And the other day you save me and the girl calling you her brother”
“I could see how happy you look when you smile at her and I could also see the other part, you were so angry that you want to ki|| the man”
“If she didn’t call you that day I’m very sure you would have ki||ed the man” Sally said and paused.
“Are you truly her brother just like she claims?” Sally asked and got no response from Cody who was just staring at her.
“Is she your sister?” She asked again and this time she got a shock response.
After staring at her for a while, Cody decided to reply to her and he let out a deep sigh and said.
“I think it will be best for you to start staying away from me,” He said.
“Huh! What?”
“Stay what?” She asked.
“You clearly heard me right, I want you to stay away from me” Cody replied.
“And you’ve overstayed your welcome so leave” Cody said.
Sally felt her heart sink.
She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“But…but why?” She asked, her voice sounding small and hurt.
“What did I do?” Sally asked as tears welling up in her eyes
Cody shook his head.
“It’s not you, it’s me,” He said.
“Or should I say that your father instead” Cody said inwardly and sighs.
“How about we go and have that drink you were talking about” Cody said changing the topic as he stood up.
Sally was taken aback by the sudden change in topic, but she didn’t want to ruin the moment by bringing up the girl Cody saved at alley again.
“Okay,” She said, even though she knew there was something Cody was trying to hide.
She couldn’t help but wonder what had caused the sudden change in mood.
But she decided to let it go for now and just enjoy the moment.
“Let go” Sally smiled and held Cody’s hand.
“Max is waiting for us,” She said, dragging Cody out of the room.
SITTING ROOM.
“You guys are here” Max smiled as Cody and Sally sat down.
“I’ve been waiting for you two” He said, pouring some drinks for them and they all started drinking.
Few minutes later, Max and Sally were already drunk even though Cody was also half drunk.
Sally and Max started telling funny jokes and laughing at the most ridiculous thing while Cody was just staring at them smiling.
“I’m telling you Sally, the whole school including the teachers was sad when they found out that he was dead” Max said, pouring himself some drinks.
“They were mourning about his death for a month” Max said and drank.
“My father told me about him,” Sally said, stretching her cup forward and Max poured her some alcohol.
“The principal,” Max said.
“Yes, and I think the guy’s name was Rudy,” Sally said, taking a sip from her drink.
“Yeah, that’s his name”
“He must really have been a cool and friendly guy, because the whole school was sad when he died,” Sally said.
Max poured himself another glass of alcohol and drank.
“He is, but not at school” Max said, pouring himself another full glass of alcohol and drank.
“Not at school?” Sally raises her brows as she drinks.
“Yes, he is the most cold guy I’ve seen whenever we are at school”
Max said and poured himself a glass of alcohol to drink.
“But once we got to work he became different …..” He suddenly dozed off.
“Max” She called, trying to wake him up.
“He is already asleep, ” Cody said and stood up.
He walked over to Max and carried him.
“I will take him to his room” Cody said carrying Max towards his room.
Cody was already halfway towards Max’s room when Max suddenly asked.
“Why do you look like him?”
“Huh?”
“Why do you look like Rudy so much?” The sleeping Max asked again and Cody didn’t answer.
They got to Max’s room and Cody slowly dropped Max on the bed and smiled.
“I think it best if you don’t know who I am yet” He said and left the room.
He got back to the sitting room and saw Sally already sleeping, her head tilted to the side, her chest rising and falling with each breath.
Cody stared at her for a few minutes and let out a sigh.
He walked toward Sally and carried her towards his room.
Once he got in and was about to place her carefully on his bed Sally suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Cody” She called slowly and seductively before she kissed him.
“What are you doing?” Cody asked and got no response from her.
Sally unwrapped her arms and Cody dropped her on the bed.
Then she stood up and began to take off her clothes.
Sally took off her blouse then slowly took off her skirt, she was left with only her undies on.
“What are you doing?” Cody asked again as She approached him.
Sally got to him and whispered into his ear.
“I’m horny, I wanna have segz with you” She said, dripping her hand into Cody’s trousers.
