“Aren’t you the guy from yesterday at the cafe?” Cody asked, opening the door for him to come in.

“Yes,” Max replied walking in.

“What’s your name again?” Cody asked, scratching his head pretending not to remember his name.

“My name is Max”

“Max Donald”

“Donald?” Cody muttered as his eyes widened.

Max immediately saw the look on Cody’s face and asked, “Is there something wrong, you look kinda….”

“No, everything is fine,” Cody replied, cutting him off.

“My name is Cody Watson, nice to make you acquainted” Cody said stretching his hand for a handshake.

Max looked at Cody’s hand, his mind racing.

He had a nagging feeling that something wasn’t right, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

It was like he already knew this guy.

Max looked at Cody then took a deep breath and shook Cody’s hand.

“Likewise,” He said, smiling.

Cody led Max to the living room and gestured for him to take a seat.

Max sat down, trying to appear calm and collected.

But inside, he was a jumble of nerves.

What was going on here?

Why did this guy seem so familiar? He looks so much like Rudy?

And why did he have a feeling that something bad was about to happen?

“So,” Cody said, his voice still serious.

“What are you doing here Max?” Cody asked.

“Well as you can see, I will be living here with you from now on” Max said, raising his luggages up.

“I can see that, but what about the guy living here before?” Cody asked.

“What guy?” Max asked, not knowing who Cody’s talking about.

“I don’t know who you’re talking about” Max said and Cody looked at him, his eyebrows raised.

Cody thought that if Max doesn’t know who I’m talking about, doesn’t that mean…..

“Can you show me my room please?” Max asked, standing up.

“Just head down there and turn left twice,” Cody said.

“Thanks” Max smiled and walked away.

As soon as Max walks away, Cody sighs and brings out his phone.

“Max Donald” Max muttered and dialed a number on his phone.

After a few rings, the call connected, and a deep, gravelly voice came through the speaker.

“Hello?” The voice said.

“Hey, it’s me Paul, so can you drop the cold guy act” Cody said, his voice low but cold.

“I’m sorry boss” Paul said and chuckled silently.

“So boss, why did you call me today, do you need my help?” Paul asked.

“Yeah”

“I need to talk to you about something, can you meet me at the usual place?”

“Sure,” Paul said.

“I’ll be there in half an hour”

“Thanks,” Cody said, and he hung up the phone.

He sat back down on the couch, and began to think.

What is going on? Why the sudden change of roommate? What happened to the guy of yesterday? Why was Max here? Why is Max having Donald as his last name? Is he related to the Mr. Donald the other guy told me about? What are they up to this time? What is Mr. Robert up to?

“I won’t have all the answers I need if I keep sitting here” Cody sighs heavily and stands up.

“Wh@ťěver you’re up to this time Mr. Robert and the others it won’t work cuz…..” Cody paused as a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

“I won’t be dying this time and I will ki|| every last one of you” Cody smiled and left the apartment.

PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE.

“Is that all that happened?” Mr. Robert asked.

“Yes, Mr. Robert, that ‘s all I could remember before he knocked me out,” The guy said.

“Are you sure about this?” Mr. Robert asked, looking at the file in his hand.

“Yes,” The guy nodded.

“I have never seen anyone as strong as him in my entire life Mr. Robert, the guy dodge a knife flying toward and he protects the guy you ask me to ki||” The guy said giving Mr. Robert a funny demonstration.

The guy stood up on Mr. Robert’s table and started running around, ducking and weaving like he was dodging knives.

Mr. Robert watched, a look of disbelief on his face.

“Come on, that’s ridiculous,” He said, shaking his head.

“There’s no way that could actually happen, you’re making it up”

“I’m not!” The guy insisted, trying to get off the table but fell onto the floor heavily.

“I swear, it’s true! I wouldn’t lie about something like this” He tried to get up but fell again.

Mr. Robert just stared at him, his expression skeptical.

“I’m not so sure if I should believe you or not, but with the injury on your stomach I guess I don’t have a choice”

“You can leave, I’ve arranged a new apartment for you. Here is the key” Mr. Robert brought out a key for his pocket and threw it to the guy.

The guy caught the key and looked at it, a look of relief spreading across his face.

He stood up shakily, clutching the key tightly.

“Thank you, Mr. Robert,” He said, bowing slightly.

“I won’t forget your kindness, I promise I’ll do my best to repay you for this”

Mr. Robert nodded, a small smile on his face.

“You don’t need to repay me,” He said.

“Just stay safe, and stay out of trouble, I will call you whenever I need your help again”

With that, the guy turned to leave but stopped.

“Mr. Robert, what if I and the guy somehow met up again won’t he ki|| me for trying to him” The guy asked.

“That won’t happen” Mr. Robert said and the guy left the office.

Mr. Robert down the field on his table and sat back in his chair, his brow furrowed.

This isn’t good, not good at all.

He had thought that Nathan and this Cody guy would be an easy target, but now it seemed like it was wrong.

This Cody guy might be more dangerous than he looks.

“What should I do?” Mr Robert asked, staring at Cody’s file on his table.

“But if this guy is as strong and dangerous as he said, there’s nothing I can do,” Mr. Robert said and sighs, picking the file up.

“Cody Watson, who are you?” He asked standing up.

“Leah and Susan need to know about him,” Mr. Robert said and left the office.

UNKNOWN PLACE.

“So” The man paused looking at the two of them. A man and a woman.

“What could have brought two honored guests like yours to my place today?” The Man asked with a smirk on his lips and the lady frowned.

“We came to join you,” The man said.

“Really Jeffrey?”

“Yes,” Jeffrey replied.

“And you Kathleen?” The man asked.

“Yes, but it wasn’t my idea,” Kathleen said.

“It was all Jeffrey’s ideas, he said we should join the winning side” Kathleen said and the man smiled.

“What? What are you smiling about, just so you know I don’t wanna join you” Kathleen said and the man chuckled.

“Then why did you follow Jeffrey?” The man asked.

Kathleen hesitated, not sure how to answer.

The truth was, she really wanted to come here to see the man.

“I… I just… I just……”

“Lemme guess, you came here to see me” The man cut in and Kathleen nodded blushing as she looked down at her feet.

Jeffrey looked at and smiled.

“How… How have you been doing all this while George” Kathleen asked, raising her head slowly.

“Good”

“And your son? How is he? Have you been able to find him?”

“And your daughter also, how is she?” Kathleen asked.

“They’re both fine Kathleen, both Linda and Cody,” George smiled.
