“I better hurry back,” She said, hiding her phone.

She began to head back inside.

30 MINUTES LATER.

They were all done with the food and it was already time for Paul to drive Nathan back to his home.

“Well I guess this is, good night,” Cody said.

“Yes, Mr. Cody,” Nathan said.

“I will try my best as possible to see you tomorrow Mr. Cody and thank you for the phone” Nathan smiled as he got into the car and Paul drove off.

Cody turns to head back into the mansion but was surprised to see Celine standing a couple of meters away from him with a lovely smile on her face.

“What are you still doing here? Aren’t you going back to the dorms?” Cody asked.

“No, I’m gonna be sleeping over” Celine replied and Cody begins to make his way towards the mansion.

As soon as he walked past Celine a bit, she quickly held his shirt from behind.

“Huh?” Cody looks back at her.

“Is there something wrong?” He asked but got zero response from her.

“I’m sorry” She said slowly, letting go of his shirt.

“Okay” Cody muttered and went inside.

“What the hell was I thinking holding his shirt?” Celine asked, staring at her hands.

“I wasn’t thinking about telling that I know he is Rudy, was I?”

“What’s wrong with me?” She screamed loudly into her head then she suddenly remembered that she was staring at Cody throughout the rest of the dinner.

Her face turned pale red instantly.

“What, what if he thinks I’m a stalker for staring at him that much?” Celine said, covering her face.

“I’m so f_cking embarrassing” She said and went into the mansion.

NATHAN’S RESIDENCE.

The car slows down gradually as it stops and Nathan gets down.

“Thank you for the ride Mr. Paul” Nathan said and Paul smiled.

“You’re welcome” He said drove off.

Nathan smiled as he stared at the car till it went out of sight.

He then went inside.

Inside, the house was quiet and still.

The air felt heavy and oppressive, as if something was lurking just out of sight.

Nathan could feel the hairs on the back of his neck standing up, a sense of unease settling over him remembering that he was nearly ki||ed today.

He took a deep breath and tried to shake off the feeling, but it clung to him like a shadow.

“I must be imagining things,” He thought, trying to reassure himself.

But the sense of foreboding only grew stronger as he made his way to his room.

He took a deep breath and turned on the light.

“What are you doing there?” A voice said from behind and Nathan screamed.

He whirled around to see a little tall white figure standing in the doorway, one hand resting casually on the doorframe.

As his eyes adjusted to the light, he recognized the person standing there, it was his sister, Sarah.

“Sarah!” He exclaimed, relief washing over him.

“You scared me! What are you doing here?”

Sarah smiled and shrugged.

“I just thought I’d drop by and see how you’re doing,” Sarah said, her voice warm and soft.

“I heard from Mike that you’ve had a rough day, and I wanted to make sure you were okay,” Sarah said.

Nathan felt his shoulders relax, the tension of the day melting away in the presence of his sister.

“I’m glad you’re here,” He said.

“I’m so glad to see you”

“Yeah wh@ťěver, mom wants to see you. She said that she has a gift for you” Sarah said and left the room.

“Mum wants to see me,” Nathan muttered, feeling a bit strange about it.

“And she has a gift for me, what could it be?” Nathan asked as he made his way out of his and went to his Mum’s own.

He knocks gently on the door and patiently waits for his mother’s response.

“You can come in Nathan” Ms. Susan said.

Nathan opened the door and walked in.

As he entered, he saw his mother sitting in her favorite chair, a large, overstuffed armchair that she had had for as long as he could remember.

She looked up at him and smiled, a warm, loving smile that always made him feel safe and at home.

“Hello, my dear,” she said, beckoning him over to her.

“Come sit with me”

Nathan did as he was told, settling into the chair next to her.

“You wanted to see me, mom?” He asked, his voice quiet and respectful.

“Yes, I did,” Ms. Susan said, reaching out to take Nathan’s hand on her own.

“I just bought you a new phone,” She said.

“Huh?” Nathan’s eyebrows shot up in surprise.

“A new phone?” He repeated.

“But I already have a phone,” Nathan said.

“What?” Ms. Susan’s eyes widened in surprise.

“But, but I thought your phone was already stolen,” Ms. Susan said.

“Yes, that’s true but how did you know that Mom?” Nathan asked.

“Mhm, hmm I, I….” Ms. Susan stammered not knowing what to say.

GEORGE’S MANSION.

ROOM.

“You would be sleeping here tonight” Linda said as Celine looked around.

“I ask the maids to clean the room specially for you” Linda said and Celine smiled.

“Thank you,” She said.

“You’re welcome,” Linda said, giving Celine a warm smile.

“I also brought you a night gown and a pair of slippers,” Linda said, pulling a neatly folded set of clothing from a nearby drawer.

“You can change into these and get ready for bed, I’ll just be in the next room if you need anything”

Celine took the clothes from Linda and thanked her again.

As Linda left the room, Celine undressed and put on the nightgown.

It was soft and comfortable, and Celine felt herself relax as she slipped it on.

She then slipped on the slippers and climbed into the bed, pulling the covers up to her chin.

As she lay there, staring up at the ceiling, Celine’s thoughts drifted back to the conversation she had overheard between Cody and Linda.

She couldn’t get it out of her head, the idea that Cody was actually Rudy, her long lost lover, crush and friend, was just too much to process.

As she lay there, trying to make sense of it all, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of betrayal.

Rudy had lied to her, and she couldn’t understand why.

Was he ashamed of who he was?

Did he think she wouldn’t accept him if she knew the truth?

She sighed and turned over, trying to push the thoughts out of her head.

But they kept coming back, no matter how hard she tried to push them away.

Suddenly, she stood up straight and walked out of the room.

CODY’S ROOM.

Cody could be seen laying on his bed already asleep, but something was strange.

There was sweating all over face, it seemed as if he was struggling from something.

After a few moments, Cody started to toss and turn, his breathing becoming more and more ragged.

He was clearly in distress, though he was still asleep.

Suddenly, Cody sat bolt upright screaming Alex’s name and began gasping for his breath.

His eyes were wide with fear, and he clutched his chest as if he was in pain.

“Alex” He called then remember how he survived the gunshot from Mr. Robert a year ago after he was thrown off the cliff by him but was rescued by Linda who was having the fun of her life on their family yacht.

Linda saw him drowning in the sea and she quickly jumped into the sea to rescue him.

He woke up from a coma six months after that, it has already been a year since all those happened but he still remembers clearly.

FLASHBACK, A YEAR AGO.

UNKNOWN HOSPITAL.

“Alex”Rudy screamed, opening his eyes.

“Where am I?”His eyes slowly wandered around the room.

“You’re awake”

“You’re awake”

“You’re awake” A female voice screamed in excitement hugging Rudy very tight.

“You are finally awake” She smiled.

Who are you? What am I doing here?”

“What happened to me?” Rudy asked, his head still spinning as he slowly fell asleep.

FLASHBACK END, PRESENT.

Cody slowly got out of bed and made his way to the window.

He stared at the stars for a while and muttered.

“Everything still feels like a dream to me” He muttered with a little smile on his lips.

He suddenly heard the sound of his door opening.

He let out a short sigh and said,

“I know you are there Celine, come in” He said.

“How did you know it was me?” Celine asked, a slight smile playing on her lips as she stepped into the room.

“I could tell, if anybody enters this room” Cody said as he turned to face her.

“And I know that you’ve been observing me since you got here”

“What?” Celine said, her eyes widening in surprise as she got closer to him.

“Yeah, so what do you want from me?” Cody asked.

“I wanted to talk to you,” Celine said, her voice sounding serious.

“I need to tell you something” She said and Cody sighs already knowing what is going on.

“I know who you really are,” Celine said, her voice steady and calm.

“You’re not really Cody, you’re Rudy”

“So you finally find out”

“It turns out you were eavesdropping on our conversation, weren’t you?” Cody asked, a note of accusation in his voice.

“I couldn’t help it,” Celine said, her smile fading.

“I heard you mention my name, and I couldn’t resist the urge to listen in,” Celine said.

“It’s really you Rudy, isn’t it?” She said, touching Cody’s face.

Cody closed his eyes, letting her touch wash over him like a wave.

“Yes,” He whispered.

“It’s me, Rudy” Cody said and Celine kissed him on his lips.

It was a soft, gentle kiss, full of love, longing and affection.

“Gawd! d@mn it, what the hell have I got myself into this is all Linda’s fault” Cody said inwardly as Celine devoured his lips.
