“We are done,”Linda said.
“Okay,the students should be arriving by now”
The door opened slowly and they all turned their attention to the door,Alex walked in.
“Principal,I’m sorry I was late, busy with …”Alex paused as soon as she set her eyes on Cody.
She froze, her eyes wide.
“Bro… brother” She called and Cody felt his heart skip a beat.
He had never expected to see Alex here and he knew that he had no choice then to ignore or deny her because he doesn’t want his secret to be exposed yet when his plans are just getting started.
He gave the principal a quick glance and he could see Mister Robert staring at him.
“Excuse me principal, but who is she?” Cody asked, looking at Alex as if they had never met before.
Alex was shocked by Cody’s question, she wants to speak up but the look on Cody’s eyes is telling her not to.
“Brother” She called inwardly.
“Who is she?” Cody asked again and Principal Robert’s eyebrows raised.
“You don’t know who this is?” He asked, a little taken aback.
Cody shook his head, playing along.
“I’ve never seen her before in my life,” He said, trying to sound sincere.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Alex said, feigning hurt.
“I thought we knew each other,I guess I was mistaken”
Cody could see the hurt in her eyes and it pained him to know that he was the one who had caused it.
He gave her a quick smile which brightened her face a little.
“That smile just now,there is no doubt about it, this guy over here, is truly my brother ” Alex Said inwardly smiling sheepishly.
Cody turned back to the principal, who was looking from one of them to the other, with a little confusion on his face.
“So principal,is she the one….”
“Yes,she is” Mr. Robert cut in and Cody raised his brows.
“She is going to be showing Linda around the Campus and the female dorm” Mr. Robert smiled looking at Linda who was busy with her phone.
She seems to be shopping.
“What about me?” Cody asked.
“Ohh?”
“Alex, where is Nathan?” Mr. Robert asked.
“He should be here soon …”
“I’m here, principal Robert”Nathan screams as he rushes in breathing heavily.
“What took you so long?” Mr. Robert asked.
“Today’s class was a bit longer than I expected,” Nathan replied.
“Oh! Okay, I want you to show Cody over here around the Campus and the boy dorms’ ‘ Mr. Robert said pointing at Cody.
“Huh!”Nathan’s eyes widened in fear as he saw Cody.
“You..you ..you are the”
Cody glared at him before he could complete his sentence and Nathan quickly quiet.
“Is everything okay, Nathan?”Mr. Robert asked and Nathan nodded fearfully.
“Everything is fine, principal,” Nathan said.
“You guys can get going now” Principal Robert gave them a wave as they left his office.
Once they were all gone Mr. Robert let out a short sigh and brought out Cody’s form.
“Cody Watson” He called and brought Rudy’s form.
He compared the two forms together and said.
“I ki|| Rudy myself so there’s no way he could survive”
Mr. Robert suddenly remembered how Alex called Cody brother.
“Alex must be hallucinating, Rudy doesn’t smile” He said and his phone started ringing.
“Hello?” He answered.
“Robert, I need you to come bar, We have a situation”
Mr. Robert’s heart skipped a beat.
“What’s the matter?” He asked, his voice suddenly tense.
“I can’t go into details over the phone,Just get here as soon as you can,the rest are waiting” The voice hung up.
Mr. Robert felt a sense of dread wash over him.
Something must have happened, something serious.
He grabbed his coat and hurried out of the office.
BOY’S DORMITORY.
Nathan kept staring at Cody who was in front of him as they walked wondering how he knew this place.
He tried to ask but was scared of him.
“I can do this,” Nathan said, breathing in and out.
“How did ….”
“Shut up”Cody said and stop walking when they got in front of a building.
He brings out his phone and presses a few buttons before he returns it back to his pocket.
“We.. we are here” Nathan stammered.
“I know,” Cody replied.
“I will be leaving now,since you come to the dorm first I’m sure your roommate can show you around the campus” Nathan said and tried to leave.
“Hey wait” Cody said looking at him.
“Huh?”
“You mean me?” Nathan asked, touching himself.
“Yes, follow me inside,” Cody said.
“What?” Nathan’s eyes widened.
He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“You want me to come inside the boy’s dorm?” He asked, his voice squeaking a little.
“Yes,I do” Cody said and Nathan felt his heart skip a beat.
“I… I can’t do that” Nathan said, his voice trembling.
“Why?” Cody asked, raising an eyebrow.
“It’s… it’s against the school rules,” Nathan said, trying to come up with an excuse.
“Only boys who are enrolled here are allowed inside”
“Oh, really”
“Or you are just scared of the guy inside this room” Cody asked looking serious.
“Ho… How do..did you know” Nathan asked looking frightening and Cody chuckled.
Cody walked closer to him and whispered into his ear.
“I also know that you saw what happened to Rudy that night” Cody said and Nathan’s eyes widened in fear.
BAR.
“He is one of your students and also a son of one of us” A female voice asked.
“What do you think we should do,Robert?” Another female voice asked.
“We should ki|| him,” A male voice said.
“Yeah,I support that, we can’t afford anyone to know” Another male voice said.
“But the boy is one of our own,” Mr. Robert said, looking around.
“Wait,you guys don’t invite his mom,” Mr. Robert exclaimed, opening his mouth.
“Yes,we can’t afford her to find out”
“I know, but I’m not sure we can justify ki||ing him,” Mr. Robert said, looking around the room at the other members of the board.
“He’s just a boy,he is still a teenager”
“That’s why we need to get rid of him,” One of the board members said, his voice cold and ruthless.
“We can’t risk him telling anyone what he knows”
“Wait,what does the boss say about this?” Mr. Robert asked.
“She said we should ki|| him” A female voice said and Mr. Robert shook his head.
“You know what to do, Robert” They chorused and Mr. Robert nodded.
