•SENIOR BLOCK•
“Guys don’t forget to turn in your homework by tomorrow,”The Teacher said and the students groaned and started arranging their backpacks.
“And Alex, make sure you collect everything and bring it to the faculty office”
The Teacher continued as she walked out of the class and Alex nodded standing up.
The students start to file out of the classroom.
Alex and Mina and some two male students were the only ones left in the classroom.
Mina was putting her books away in her bag, while Alex was still standing in the same spot, lost in thought.
Mina noticed that Alex seemed a bit out of it today.
“Hey, Alex,” Mina said, breaking the silence.
“Is everything okay?”
Alex jumped, startled by Mina’s voice.
She hadn’t realized Mina was still there.
“Oh, hey, Mina, I swear I wasn’t thinking about my brother this time”Alex said, trying to sound casual and Mina raised her brows.
Mina was surprised by Alex’s response.
She knew he hadn’t asked her about senior Rudy before she talk about him
“So, senior Rudy has been on your mind lately?”Mina asked, cautiously.
Alex hesitated, as if weighing her words carefully.
Finally, she nodded.
“I guess you could say that, I just… I can’t stop thinking about what happened”Alex said and Mina sighs sadly.
“Yeah,but I don’t believe senior Rudy is dead,”Mina said and Alex smiled.
“You really don’t believe he’s dead?”Alex asked, a hint of hope in her voice.
“I mean, I know it’s not likely, but… it’s just hard to believe that he could be gone,”Mina said.
Mina knew that Alex was struggling with the idea of her brother’s death.
“It’s okay to have doubts, Alex,”She said, gently.
“But what makes you think that he might still be alive?”
Alex sighed, looking thoughtful.
“I just… There were so many unanswered questions. How did the police get a picture of his dead body and till now his body was never found, and the circumstances around his disappearance were so strange”Alex said.
“That’s true,” Mina said, thoughtfully.
“The case is still unsolved, and there are a lot of unanswered questions. But I still have to ask… what would you do if you found out that he was really dead?”Mina asked.
Alex was silent for a moment, considering the question.
“I… I don’t know,” she finally said.
“I just… I feel like ….”
“Hey babe,”One of the male students called while walking toward them.
Alex and Mina both turned to look at the male student who had just approached them.
“Hey,Mike,”Mina said, with a smile.
“What’s up?”
“Not much,” Mike said, looking at Alex.
“Hey Alex”Mike smiled and held out his hand to shake Alex’s.
“Hey Mike,” Alex said, shaking his hand.
“What’s up?”
“Nothing much, just want to hang out with my girlfriend,” Mike said, holding Mina’s hand and she blushed.
“Okay….. that’s cool”Alex smiled.
Mina looks at Mike then Alex.
“Alex I…”
“Don’t worry about me Mina go and have fun with Mike”Alex cut in and Mina smiled.
“Then I will come over tonight,”Mina said.
Mina has been coming over to Alex’s place ever since Rudy passed away.
“Sounds good!” Alex said, waving as Mina and Mike left the classroom.
Alex starts to arrange her bag preparing to go home.
As Alex gathered her things, she couldn’t help but hear footsteps behind her.
She sighs heavily knowing It was Mike’s friend,the other male students left in the class.
“Hey, Alex,” Mike’s friend said, coming to a stop in front of her.
“Can we hang out”
“Not today Nathan,”Alex said, carrying her bag.
Nathan’s face fell, clearly disappointed by Alex’s answer.
“Come on, don’t be like that,”He said, trying to persuade her.
“I just want to get to know you better,I think we could be lover”
Alex’s frustration boiled over.
“I’m not interested in being lovers,”she snapped, her voice hard.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have somewhere to be”
She turned to leave but Nathan grabbed her arms,looking confused and a bit hurt.
She couldn’t bring herself to care.
“See Alex you need to forget about your brother he is dead”Nathan said with no sign of remorse on his face.
Alex stared at Nathan, her eyes wide with shock and horror.
She summoned all of her strength and wrenched her arm free, breaking Nathan’s hold on her.
She took a step back, putting some distance between them.
How could he say such a thing?
How could he be so insensitive?
She took a deep breath, trying to compose herself.
“You’re wrong,”She said, her voice steady.
“My brother is still out there, and I’m going to find him”
Nathan looked at her, a mixture of disbelief and anger on his face.
“You’re living in a fantasy,”He said, his voice cold.
“Senior Rudy is gone, and you need to accept that”
Alex’s hands balled into fists, and she had to fight the urge to hit Nathan.
She took another deep breath, trying to stay calm.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about,”She said, her voice low and dangerous.
“Senior Rudy is my brother, and I’m not going to stop until I find him”Alex said and Nathan scoffed.
“You’re delusional,”He said, shaking his head.
“And you’re going to get yourself into trouble if you keep this up,why don’t you just give up and move on with your life?”
Alex glared at him, her blood boiling.
“I will never give up on my brother,”She said, her voice rising.
“I will search for him until my last breath, if I have to. And you can’t stop me”
Nathan’s expression darkened, and he took a step towards Alex.
“I’m not trying to stop you,”He said, his voice quiet but intense.
“I’m trying to save you from yourself,you’re going down a dangerous path, and it’s not going to end well”
Alex took a step back, a knot of fear forming in her stomach.
Nathan’s words were ringing in her ears, but she refused to listen to him.
He didn’t understand what she was going through, what she was feeling.
He couldn’t understand the pain of losing a brother, of not knowing what had happened to him.
She turned and started walking away, trying to put as much distance between herself and Nathan as possible.
She needed to think, to clear her head. She couldn’t let him get to her like this.
As she walked, her mind raced.
“She knew that she couldn’t give up on finding Rudy, but she also knew that she couldn’t keep going like this”Alex thought as she walked out of the school.
She slowed her pace, trying to calm her racing heart.
She took a deep breath in and out, focusing on the rhythm of her breathing.
“Taxi,”Alex called.
A yellow cab pulled up to the curb, and Alex got in.
“Where to?”The Driver asked, glancing at Alex in the rearview mirror.
“Um, just take me home,” Alex said, fumbling for her purse.
“I need to get out of here”
The driver nodded and pulled away from the curb.
Alex closed her eyes, trying to shut out the world around her.
Nathan watches as the cab drives off and sighs heavily.
Nathan stood on the sidewalk, feeling both relief and frustration.
Relief that he had finally said what he had been thinking, that he had finally confronted Alex about her obsession with finding Rudy.
And frustration that she hadn’t listened to him, that she hadn’t seemed to hear a word he had said.
He knew he had been harsh, but he also knew that Alex needed a reality check.
She was going down a dangerous path, and he was worried about her.
He just hoped that she would come to her senses, that she would realize that he was right.
He turned and headed back to his car, his mind wondering about that night.
Nathan got into his car and sat there for a moment, trying to process everything that happened to Rudy.
He couldn’t help but feel guilty because he was there the night he was kidnapped and the morning he was ki||ed.
“No, no, no,” Nathan said out loud, his voice full of despair.
“It’s not my fault,I didn’t know what was going to happen and I couldn’t have prevented it”
But no matter what he told himself, he couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt and responsibility.
He knew he needed to talk to someone about what had happened.
But who could he talk to?
His friends and family would just tell him that it wasn’t his fault, that there was nothing he could have done.
He needed someone who would understand, someone who would really listen.
He put the key in the ignition and turned the car on, still lost in thought.
“Hey, are you okay?”A voice asked entering the car.
Nathan turned in surprise seeing his young sister in the back seat.
“Yes I’m fine, Sarah,”Nathan replied.
“I really don’t know how to tell Alex about her brother’s death”Nathan said inwardly.
He suddenly remembers that he heard the principal voice the morning Rudy was ki||ed.
“Alex you really need to accept the fact that senior Rudy is dead”Nathan said inwardly and sighs sadly.
“Hey are you okay”Sarah yelled into Nathan’s ear.
Nathan jumped, startled by Sarah’s sudden outburst.
“What the h….”
“You’ve been lost in thoughts for the past two minutes now,”Sarah cut in.
“Are you really sure you’re okay?”Sarah asked.
“I’m fine”
“Then drive,”Sarah said.
“Right,” Nathan said, snapping back to the present moment.
He took a deep breath and put his hands on the wheel and drove off.

NIGHT 10PM>FLORA’S CAFE**
“Hey Max, I heard you and Rudy were pretty close before he passed away, is that true?”Kiran asked.
Max looked up from his coffee, taken aback by Kiran’s question.
“Yeah, we were pretty close at work but not at school”He said, his voice quiet.
“I really miss him”
Kiran nodded, sensing the weight of Max’s words.
“I also miss him,”She said, reaching out and placing a hand on Max’s arm.
“I know it must be hard to deal with, since you both work here,”Kiran said.
Max looked at Kiran, his eyes welling up with tears.
“It is,”He said, his voice cracking.
“I just… I don’t know”
“I know it’s hard to put your feelings into words sometimes,” Kiran said, her voice gentle.
“It’s okay if you can’t explain how you’re feeling,sometimes just talking about it, even if you can’t find the right words, can help”
Max took a deep breath, grateful for Kiran’s understanding.
“It’s just… I keep thinking about the last time I saw him,” he said, his voice thick with emotion.
“I didn’t know it would be the last time”
Kiran listened intently, giving Max her full attention.
“Rudy was kind of sad throughout work that day but when we close”
“His mood suddenly changed,the moment we locked the door and put up the sign”Max continued his story.
“It was like he was relieved from something and he was on his phone”
“I think he received a text message from someone,”Max added.
Kiran was silent for a moment, absorbing Max’s words.
“So that was the last time…..”
“There you are,”Kyran yelled entering the cafe.
“I was just…” Max began, but his words trailed off as he saw the person who had entered.
It was Kyran, Kiran’s twin sister.
“Kiran,how could you left me outside just to chat with your boyfriend”
Kiran’s eyes widened in shock.
“I’m sorry, Kyran,”She said.
“I didn’t mean to leave you waiting,Max and I were just chatting”
“It’s okay,” Kyran said, but there was a slight edge to her voice.
“I just needed to talk to you about something important”
Kiran looked at Max, a question in her eyes.
“Is it okay if we continue our conversation later?”She asked and Max nodded.
She pecked him and walked out of the cafe with Kyran.
Max sighs as he watches them walk out.
“It has already been a year since Rudy died and the cops still can’t find his body,I hope he is still alive”Max thought, staring at his coffee.
••NEXT DAY >UNKNOWN PLACE••
A blue Rolls-Royce Phantom and a pink Lamborghini Aventador slowly drove into the Mansion.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom and the Lamborghini Aventador pulled up to the front of the mansion, their engines purring.
The Phantom’s blue paint job glistened in the sun, and the Aventador’s pink bodywork looked stunning against the green lawn.
As the cars came to a stop, the front doors of the mansion opened and a lot of maids and guardsmen stepped out.
“Welcome home Master and Mistress”The maids and the guards said with their heads bowed.
The door of the pink Lamborghini Aventador slowly opened, and a young woman emerged from the car.
She was dressed in a stunning pink gown, her hair styled in an elaborate updo.
The woman stared at the blue Rolls-Royce Phantom as the door slowly opened.
The door of the blue Rolls-Royce Phantom slowly opened, revealing a tall, dark-haired young man dressed in a brown suit.
Immediately he stepped out of the car, the woman called.
“Rudy”She called and The man gave her a cold stare.
“I’m not Rudy anymore”He said,his voice sharp.
“Ohh, sorry,it’s Cody”The young woman smiled and rushed to hug him.
