CHAPTER THIRTY SIX: CHLOE’S MEMORIES 3 (APPEARANCE OF MACARIA 2)
Getting off the bed, I put on my shorts, grab macaria hands and pull her out of the room, moving to the living room, she pull her hands from mine and slap me across the face, being human right now means that slap really hurts ” macaria?”
” you don’t treat me that way!!!” She looks hurt ” I came all this way to see you, only to find out you already gave yourself to her? Chloe?”
” lower your voice ”
” you said you don’t love her, you choose me!!!!”
” that was centries back!!!” Growling, I run my hands through my hair ” you don’t have to come to my place acting so childish macaria, I can have so many woman I choose to have ”
” you said I would be your first!!!”
” things change ” looking at her, I know one thing, she is thinking of different things to do to Chloe, her feet grow close and my awareness intensifies ” macaria?”
” you still love me right?” She looks at me ” you still do, don’t you ”
” why are you bringing that up?” She place her hands on my chest and I look at her, I don’t have it in me to push her away, I have always long for her touch, it’s being centries, even before Chloe showed up
” stay with me ”
” stop acting like you fancy me ” I frown ” you obviously have your men awaiting you ”
” Thanatos”
” I don’t need you here macaria”
” I can simply drag you out!!!” She growl ” seeing how weak you are right now ”
” you wouldn’t dare ” I glare at her and she step back ” why are you here macaria”
” to see you ”
” then you can leave ”
” am not done yet ” a smile stain her lips ” I should get to speak with my sister right? I mean before she dies”
Anger flash in my eyes ” do not touch her!!!!”
She lift her hands ” oh I won’t, but you see… The curse in her won’t let her live long… She will die eventually, I guess she always have some kind of un-curable disease in each life she gets ”
” hmmm ”
” you seem surprised ” macaria chuckle ” you had no clue right?”
” you should leave ” I mumble but she hug me instead, her hands wrap around my neck while her lips touch my cheek ” macaria?”
” i don’t feel like leaving” she withdraw a little then stare at my face, we were an inch apart, she kept looking at my eyes then my lips, it was obvious she wanted a kiss, I watch how she bite her lower lip ” I want a kiss ”
” I can’t give you that ”
” why not?” She frown ” it’s just a kiss ”
” Chloe is upstairs”
” so what?”
” she will get upset” I mumble, swallowing deep ” besides, you don’t like touching a man that have touch another woman ”
” you can always be an exception ” she lean close ” always Thanatos, always my number one ” her lips close the space between our face, I couldn’t close my eyes, I watch how she close hers and kiss me, giving her access to my mouth, her tongue dive in, she taste just like apple but Chloe, Chloe always taste like my favorite fruit…. Strawberry.
How long have I long for this? For macaria to beg me to touch her, so long and now, it’s not something I even enjoy anymore ” macaria” pushing her back, I look sideways, glad chloe didn’t show up ” you should leave now ” lift my hand and clean my mouth ” i don’t want chloe seeing you here”
” are you choosing her over me?”
” no ” looking at her angry eyes, I smile ” I want you to think hard and tell me how you feel about me tomorrow” I will be getting my powers tomorrow, that way I can protect Chloe no matter what she sends
” if I do, will you come back to me?”
” macaria” I touch her face ” you’re the only one meant for me, do you think I feel absolutely nothing for you?” Watching how her eyes glitter with happiness, I smile ” I just need you to stop using me as some sort of toy, think about it and when you return tomorrow with your answer, I will hear you out ”
” why do I feel like your pulling my legs ” she frown and I exhale, this stupid goddess and her insane intuition ” Thanatos, you aren’t lying right?”
” of course not” letting go of her, I made sure the look in my eyes were serious ” why did you think my mum is heading here? I wish to show you to her ”
” really?”
“Indeed ”
” I will hold you to your words then ” with that she vanish, exhaling I run my hands through my hair before turning around and just like I feared, Chloe is standing on the stairs, looking at me….I couldn’t even read the look in her eyes
” Chloe?” She walk downstairs, said nothing for minutes before finally smiling ” Chloe ”
” good morning Thanatos” she turn around and walk into the kitchen “let me prepare breakfast ” am certain she heard everything, I know she did but why is she pretending like she didn’t? That is even making me more scared
She is someone that have always frighten me, I will appreciate it if she just slap and curse me….. Being quiet is putting me at the edge but am glad, glad she didn’t see me kissing her, that would be worst, a whole lot worse.
I just have to explain that I didn’t mean anything I said to macaria.
Chloe knew fully well she was dreaming, once again she saw herself with a light colored green hair but this time, brushing someone hair while smiling.
” what do you think of Thanatos?” The lady asked, her voice fill with joy ” he seem so in love with me right?”
” of course sister ” I reply ” how did you get him so hook over you ”
” beauty” she giggled, truly her beauty is unheard of ” will you mind going to call him for me? I will like to have lunch with him ”
” of course ”
” thank you Chloe ”
I could tell that she have always treated me nice, even her words to me where nice but why? Why do I always get this pull of attraction whenever I see lord Thanatos, it’s obvious he is made for my sister, I can never get him but still ….. I always get excited to talk to him, even if he always reply with a nod
” lord Thanatos” I mumble, he sat under an oak tree, he looks at me, dropping the book he was reading ” lady macaria is awaiting your presence”
” Chloe isn’t it?” He knows my name?
” yes ” a blush stain my cheek at that, it was the first time he said anything to me
” have you read about Romeo and Juliet before? I heard you came from earth, they always write interesting books ”
” oh yes, I enjoy reading ”
” move closer Chloe ” I did as he asked and he hand me the book he was with ” it’s called the seven deadly sins, am done with it, you can read it if you wish ”
” oh no, I can never accept this”
” why not?” He $h00t me a confused look ” I thought you like it, you always watch me when I read” my face heat up when realization dawn on his face ” that would be wrong sweet Chloe, macaria might ki|| you ”
” I don’t know what you’re saying ” he stood up and lean close to my ears before whispering
” let nobody but me know about your little crush” with that he kiss my cheek before leaving.

My eyes flew open at that, sitting up I look at the side and realize that the bed is empty, he already left, what was that? A dream? No… I think those were past memories, I met Thanatos before? I have always loved him? He have always love another?
Just like that dream, he just kept me at the side to toy with…. Covering my face, I had no idea how to cope with all these, should I let Thanatos go? Will that be safer for me and my heart? At least before I die?
It also seem like I betrayed macaria trust, she must h@ťě me but then again, I called her sister, is she my sister? Why is all these confusing?
Getting up from the bed, I move to the bathroom, showered… Put on Thanatos black long sleeve with his briefs…. Getting out of the room, I move to the stairs and stare at both of them…. I heard each word he said to her and the look of seriousness in his eyes
He truly do love macaria, am I just fooling myself? I should probably move on right now ” Chloe ” he said my name after she left, didn’t really expect me to see them.
Moving downstairs to his direction, he swallowed ” Chloe ” I stare at him, the fact that I do love him still remains, am I cursed to always love him? To always be the side character in his life, that he uses?
” good morning Thanatos” I turn around ” I will make breakfast”moving to the kitchen, I try my best to fight the tears thr_@tening to drop from my eyes, I don’t want to feel this pain anymore, it’s really hurtful.
My heart feels heavy
” Chloe ” he hold my hand and turn me around, meeting his gaze, he quickly clean my tears ” I swear it, I didn’t mean anything I said” I just look at his eyes, but I couldn’t believe the words he is saying anymore ” please trust me ”
Am scared to believe him, I don’t want to get hurt ” I want a divorce ” those were the words that left my mouth.
