Chapter-Twenty-Eight
A month later, the marriage arrangement was set, and a lot of invitation cards were sent to high businessmen and women even the President and senate from other countries.
Ha-jun was having a bridal shower with few of her friends, her room was decorated with beautiful bouquets and balloons. They were all in their nightwear with the same color and a princess crown on each of their head, everyone was drinking and having fun.
“Finally, you will be Mrs. Ha-jun Baek-Hyun by this time tomorrow”. 1st girl said excitedly.
” Oh, yes, I can’t wait”. Ha-jun gloated.
“We all know it has always been your biggest dream to be Baek-Hyun’s wife”. 2nd girl said.
” Of course, we were betrothed to each other since we were kids, so now, he is all mine”. She said and they laughed.
“I heard his friends are hot too, I can’t wait to dress up for them tomorrow,” 3rd girl said and they all laughed.
“You can say that again”. 1st girl said and they took a sip from their drinks.
” So, it was true his high school teacher tried to seduce him?”3rd girl said.
“Exactly, but she got exposed at the end”. 2nd girl replied.
” How shameless can she be, a boy old enough to be her aunt, is what she is running after”. 2nd girl said in disgust.
“Girls, relax, let’s not talk about that old trash, she is no more in Baek-Hyun’s life, as I am speaking to you girls right now, Baek-Hyun h@ťěs her to the ground, to the extent of chasing her out of his office when she came to beg”. Ha-jun said.
” Really?” they said surprisedly
“Yeah, I was at his office that day and I saw everything, so, let’s forget about her and just enjoy this moment, tomorrow is my wedding, so chill out”. Ha-jun said and they screamed in excitement.
” Let the party begin!” 1st girl yelled out and the music was turned on.
Baek-Hyun sat down in his mini bar sipping from his drink and was lost in deep thought, but he suddenly got interrupted from behind.
” Don’t you think is too early to be drinking?” Chan-yeol asked as he moved to join him in the bar also with Byung-ho.” I thought we were having a bachelor party, but with the way I see it, this is going to end up being a boring night”. he added and served himself a drink.
“So, how is tomorrow gonna be?” Byung-ho asked as he sipped from his drink.
“Great, I can’t wait for it”. Baek-Hyun said and Chan-yeol scoffed.
” Really? You don’t look like someone who is getting married tomorrow, you look paled”. Chan-yeol said.”but, is never too late to back down”. he added.
“Really? Why should I back down?” he asked
“I don’t know, your attitude right now is saying it all”. Chan-yeol said and gulped his drink.
” Just chill out, tomorrow is gonna be great”.Byung-ho said calmly.
“Exactly, maybe I should look for ji-ho and invite her over tomorrow, maybe once you see her, you might have a change of heart”. Chan-yeol teases. ” Just kidding”. he laughed and Baek-Hyun sighed.
“So, shall we all go out and make today the best night of our lives?” Byung-ho asked.
“Nah, I rather stay here”. he declines.
” You are so boring”.Chan-yeol scoffs at him.
“Come on man, you can’t be indoors like this, tomorrow is your day, you only have today to enjoy your single life”. Byung-ho said trying to be persuasive.
” He is right, let’s go rock out some girls, I guess your soon-to-be wife is having her fun party right now and you are here looking all boring”. Chan-yeol said.
“I don’t want to, I just want to be here all alone”. He said.
” Well, not on our watch”.Byung-ho said as he jerked up with the help of Chan-yeol, Baek-Hyun tried to resist but they dragged him up to his room for him to get dressed.
A few hours later, they arrived in a clubhouse, everywhere was booming with music as they were dancing and drinking in a stupor.
“Woah! Let the fun begin”. Chan-yeol yelled and ran into the crowd dancing while Byung-ho and Baek-Hyun shook their heads and then left for the VIP section, They ordered a bottle of champagne, and soon after Chan-yeol came over with two segzy girls beside him, and his hands rested on their shoulders.” alright ladies, let the fun begin”. he said and sat down as the two girls left to sit next to Baek-Hyun.
“What’s going on?” Baek-Hyun asked surprisedly as he saw the way the girls were making seductive moves at him.
“Just relax and enjoy their company”. he said and gulped his drink.
” Well, this is fun”.Byung-ho said staring at them. Baek-Hyun couldn’t bear it anymore, he asked them to excuse him, and the girls left in disappointment.
“Bro! That was rude”. chan-yeol blunted
” Did I ask for any of their company, you brought them here”.
“You are so boring, I was only trying to ease your boring night”. Chan-yeol teases.
” Well, thank you”.
“You two”Byung-ho scoff at their attitude.
An hour later, they were already tipsy, the music was still booming with a lot of people dancing.
” I want to go home”. Baek-Hyun said feeling dizzy.
“No, not yet, the party is just starting”. Chan-yeol said as the waitress walked in with another bottle of champagne. chan-yeol pops up the bottle and serves each of them.” let’s toast for the ceremony of tomorrow not to hold”. he said and took a gulp, they stared confusedly at him, and he noticed their gaze.” what, don’t look at me like that, drink”. he said. The fun continued, and they drank until they passed out, luckily for them, Chan-yeol had already called his driver, who came and drove them to their houses.
The next day, Baek-Hyun woke up with the alarm continuously ringing, the sun shone brightly in his room, and he sat upright and noticed he was still in his last nightwear.
“Gosh! d@mn those two”. he groaned as he felt a headache at the side of his head, he left to the bathroom to freshen.
A few minutes later, he came out drying his hair with a hand towel, and moved to his phone which was ringing non-stop, he saw the caller ID and scoffed before picking it up.
” Raise and shine!”. Chan-yeol said from the other end of the phone.
“You d@mn twit, after making me drink to death last night, you still have the nerve to call me”.
” Yeah, I made your night grateful, thanks to me”. he said laughing.”anyway just called to let you know we will be at your place in the next thirty minutes, remember you just have a few hours to get married”.
“Yeah, thanks for the reminder”. he hung up before he could say another word.
A few hours later, people began to troop into the venue, the marriage was held in a big hall, Baek-Hyun and Ha-jun’s photo was placed beside the hallway, there were cameras taking photos of the guests coming in and the press was everywhere. Everyone was dressed beautifully for the occasion, the bride and groom families stood on one side welcoming the guests in.
Ha-jun was already dressed in a wedding gown and was locked in a room with her friends.
” oh my gosh Ha-jun, you look like a goddess, “.1st girl said as they were on their bridesmaids’ wear.
“I know right”. she gloated.
” I swear, Baek-Hyun won’t take his gaze off you in a second”2nd girl said as they continued to praise and worship her beauty, then her mother entered smiling.
“Look how beautiful you are my dear”. Mrs. Do-Yun said smiling at her as she caressed her cheek.
” Thanks, Mom” she smile back.
“Just stay put, you will soon be called out, this is your moment, enjoy it”. she said.
” I will Mom”.
“ok, see you later dear”. she left and her friends continued to praise her beauty.
Baek-Hyun was in another room with his friends they were trying to cheer him up. Baek-Hyun was dressed in a designer suit with a blue necktie. On his wrist was a silver wristwatch and on his feet were shining buckled shoes. Byung-ho and Chan-yeol were dressed in the same way but in a different suit.
” Smile, this is all you wanted”.Chan-yeol said and Baek-Hyun scoffed.
“Will you please don’t annoy me?” he said and Chan-yeol laughed.
“I am not annoying you, am just stating the obvious”. he teases and Byung-ho turns to them, he was on his phone all these while chatting with Si-u.
” I got to go, I will talk to you guys later”. he left before chan-yeol could say another word.
“Do you want me to give you space to clear your head?” Chan-yeol asked and then Mrs. I-jun entered.” hey aunt, you look beautiful”. he complimented her and she smiled faintly at him.
“Thanks, dear, but can I have a little privacy with my son alone?” she asked
“Sure, maybe your convincing will reset his brain”. he smiles at them and walks away. Baek-Hyun scoffed after him and then turned to his mother whose face was moody.
Si-u and Su-ho walked into the hall but were dressed amazingly and some guests couldn’t take their eyes off them despite seeing Su-ho’s belly.
” Are you sure this is a good idea to come here?”. Su-ho asked.
“We have no choice, besides my sister persuaded us to come”. Si-u replied.
” This is supposed to be Ji-ho’s wedding, not the other way round”.Su-ho said.
“Maybe God has another plan for my sister, although she won’t stop crying, she tried to hide it from me when I called her yesterday, and even my mom told me how she hasn’t been feeling well for a month now”. Si-u said and they got interrupted from behind.
” Si-u”. Byung-ho called and they turned to him smiling.” am glad you two could make it”. he said as they hugged.
“Yeah, you look handsome in that, I guess the whole ladies here will be drooling over you”. Su-ho said.
” Thanks, but I only got eyes for one”. he said smiling at Si-u, Su-ho noticed and she smiled knowingly at them.
“Sure, you guys should have fun, I will just stick around”. Su-ho said as she walked away.
” Do you want a drink?”.he asked staring at Si-u who was feeling uncomfortable with the way some of the ladies were staring at her.”Are you ok?”.
“Um, yeah, this place looks suffocating with everyone staring at me”. she said and Byung-ho smiled at her.
” Of course, they will stare, because you look extremely beautiful tonight”. he said and Si-u smiled trying to hide her blushing.”But if that is what you want, let’s go” ” He placed her hand on his arm and they walked away.
Ha-Jun was on the phone while her friends were helping her arrange her dress.
“just do your job, I have sent the photo to you already, make sure I don’t see her face here”. she said sounding serious before she hung up.
” Who do you not want to see at your wedding?”1st girl asked.
“Of course, you know who, am talking about that old rag, if she steps her foot here, she might ruin everything”. she said.
” Yeah, you are right, “2nd girl said.
“I don’t want anything that will ruin my day, today is my wedding with Baek-Hyun and it must hold”. she said and they agreed with her.
