Chapter-Twenty-Seven
Ha-jun was having lunch with her parents, at the same time smiling to herself.
“You look happy dear, what is the good news?” Mrs. Do-Yun asked.
“Am just happy about the snow that will be coming out today at GANGWON-DO-PROVINCE” she said.
” Really? That’s amazing”. Mr.Dong-Geun said.
“Yeah, and I will be going with Baek-Hyun”.
“OK, all the best dear”.Mrs.Do-Yun said.
“Thank you” ” She smiles and continues with her meal.
Baek-Hyun stood near his window and was staring out to the blue sky with the thought of Ji-ho, he had a flashback of when he had invited Ji-ho for the first snowfall.
“I heard that the first snow of the year will be out today, I would like you to come with me”. he said and he could see the surprised look on her face, then he took her phone and exchanged her number with her. ” I will wait for you at the park “. he winks at her and walk away.
Flashback end, he sighed sadly and had another flashback of how the first snow fell on them. just then he was jolted out of his thoughts by the sound of his phone ringing, he picked it up umm he saw the caller ID.
” Hi, Ha-jun.”there was a pause.” yeah, am fine” he hesitated for a while.” ok, fine, I would love to, see you later”. he hung up and sighed tiredly.
During the cool evening, everyone was wandering around with their partners and friends in GANGWON-DO-PROVINCE, waiting for the snow to fall, not too long, Byung-ho and Si-u arrived along with Chan-yeol.
“Wow, this looks amazing, the whole place is so filled with a lot of people”. Si-u said holding hands with Byung-ho.
” Yeah, I never thought a lot of people would be present here”. Byung-ho said.
“Exactly, anyway see you two later”. Chan-yeol said and rushed off.
” Where is he rushing to?”. Si-u asked amused by Chan-yeol’s sudden movement.
“I have no idea”. he replied. ”
“Is Baek-hyun coming?”.
” Yeah, he is coming with Ha-jun”.
“Okay, let’s go have fun”. he said.
” Sure”. They left.
Some minutes later, Baek-Hyun and Ha-jun arrived.
“Wow, it looks so beautiful, look at a lot of people here”. Ha-jun said and they caught sight of where they sell soft drinks.” um, I will be right back” ” She left before Baek-Hyun could say a word. Baek-Hyun sighed and wandered around the place.
Meanwhile, Ji-ho arrived with some of her neighbors who persuaded her into coming here against her will, she had phoned Su-ho earlier to inform her, but Su-ho couldn’t make it because she was feeling tired and needed rest.
“Thank goodness we arrived early”. 1st neighbor said.
” Yeah, the snow will fall in the next twenty minutes, I can’t wait, “2nd neighbor said excitedly
“Alright everyone, let’s go have some fun”. 3rd neighbor said and they all went in wandering and staring amazingly at the whole place. Ji-ho stared at the whole place and suddenly had a flashback of her and Baek-Hyun first snow together and then sigh at her thoughts. She walked away lost in thought of Baek-Hyun, she suddenly stopped walking as she noticed a familiar legs in front of her, standing 5ml away, she raised her face slowly and her eyes met with Baek-Hyun’s, Both went still staring at each other eyes, they couldn’t believe they will see each other here, it was as if everywhere seize between them for a moment and they couldn’t let go each other eyes for a moment. At that moment of staring emotionally at each other, the snow started showering on them, and everyone gasped in amusement as they started taking photos of each other. Ji-ho suddenly got interrupted by one of her neighbors who rushed to her.
” There you are, everyone is looking for you, let’s go”. he said and placed a hand around her shoulder and walked away, she stared after Baek-hyun the last time and turned her face away. Baek-Hyun who was still freezing at his spot, was caught off guard by the way the guy was smiling at ji-ho and he even cuddled her in his arm, he suddenly clenched his fits and then Ha-jun came over holding two cans of juice.
“There you are, I was looking everywhere for you”. Ha-jun said as she offered him one of the juices.
” Thank you”. he said and took a sip from the juice.
“Wow, the snow is so beautiful”. Ha-jun said as she stretched out her palm to the snow and it was subsiding in her palm.” wow”. she stared back at Baek-Hyun and encircled her arms around him.”let’s go over there”. she said and they walked away. Si-u and Byung-ho were also amazed by the snow as they kept smiling at it.
“It’s so beautiful”. Si-u said.
” Yes, just like you”. Byung-ho said and their eyes met, they stared lovingly at each other, but it was suddenly interrupted by Ji-ho as she feigned a cough, they regained themselves quickly and turned in her direction.
“Did I interrupt something?” she asked smiling.
“eonni!”. Si-u called surprisedly and ran into her arms.” you are here”. she said and after a while, they pulled away from each other arms smiling at each other.
“What a surprise to see you here”. Byung-ho said as he hugged her and then pulled away.
” Yeah, am surprised to see you two as well”. ji-ho said.
“Yeah, so, did you come here alone?” Si-u asked.
“No, I came with some group of people”.
” Oh, so, how have you been?”. Byung-ho asked.
“Am fine as you can see” ” She smiled and they continued chatting, after having enough chat for a while, she bid them goodbye and left, not too long Baek-Hyun and Ha-jun came over along with Chan-yeol, they started chatting, and continued staring at the snow.
Some days later, Mr.Dae-jung was having dinner with his wife in the dining room, he could see the sad look on her face.
” Honey, your son’s wedding is in a month, why are you having this mood?” he questioned.
“How do you mean?” she replied.
“You know what I mean, it seems you are not happy about the wedding, you don’t want our son to get married?”.
” Don’t miss quote me, Dae-Jung, of course, I want my son to get married, but on his own will “. she said unfriendly
” Did you think we forced him into it?”
“I don’t know but I think this arrangement of a thing was your idea in the first place, Do you think our son is happy with the marriage?”.
” He wasn’t forced to, he will learn to love her in the future”. he said and I-jun hit the table angrily.
“You are being unreasonable! this is the 21st century, people married with love, not the other way round, do you think I would have accepted to marry you if I hadn’t fallen in love with you at first sight? despite our meeting being planned by our parents, we fell for each other and agreed to go on with the marriage, but in this, our son’s case, it’s different, is at time we sit him down and talk him out of this wedding before it becomes too late”. She said and left the dinner table angrily.
Mr.Dae-Jung was stunned by her sudden attitude, even though they had been married for many years he had never caught a glimpse of her this angry before, he sighed.
Si-u came out of the company heading to the bus stop when suddenly she heard a car horn from behind, she turned and saw it was Byung-ho.
” Byung-ho”. she called quietly and he came down and moved to her wearing a sweet smile on his face. “What are you doing here?”.
” Well, I was just passing by and I saw you coming out”. he said.
“Yeah, I was about to board the bus”.
” There will be no need for that, I am here at your service”. he said and they chuckled.” shall we?”.
“Sure” They walk to the car and Byung-ho opens the front door for her, she was about to enter when someone calls her from behind, they both turn quickly in the direction, and Byung-ho notices it is the guy from the other night at the clubhouse.
“Si-u, are you leaving already? I thought you agreed to hang out with us since is my birthday today”. he said.
” Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about it”.
“Well, since you remember, shall we?”. he asked smiling sweetly at her and Byung-ho could tell from his look and attitude that he was into Si-u.
” Oh, sure” ” She turns to Byung-ho.”Byung-ho, you should come with us too, I know Do-yun (도윤)(Do-Yun means path, road, way, and consent, allow) won’t mind”.
“Who is he? Your boyfriend?” Do-Yun asked staring dubiously at him.
“No, he is Byung-ho, a very good friend of mine” She turned to Byung-ho and introduced them two, they just said hello to each other.” So, Byung-ho will you come along?”.
“Sure, I would love to”. he replied with a smile and Do-yun felt jealous.” So, I will shall we?”
“Ok, Do-yun, you drive, we will drive behind you” ” She enters the car and Byung-ho shuts the door and stares at Do-Yun for a while before moving to the other side of the car.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the karaoke pub, everyone was excited as Soju drinks and BBQ were dished on the table. Si-u sat between Byung-ho and Do-jun, everyone was having fun.
” Happy Birthday Do-yun” They all sang for him and they cheered.
“Thank you,” he said.
“Let the fun continue” they yell.
“Let’s Play a game”. one of the staff said. ” let’s play true or dare” she added and everyone agreed.
“I will spin the bottle, whoever the bottle point will be asked a question”. Do-Yun said and everyone agreed.
” This is gonna be fun”.Si-u said.
“ok, let’s go”. he spins the bottle and it stops at one of the staff, they yell in excitement.
” I will ask the question, “3rd staff said.”if you were given a chance to go anywhere in this world, where would you go?”.
“Um, I will go to England to see Queen Elizabeth”. she said and everyone laughed.
” That’s good”. he spins the bottle again and it stops on Si-u
“I will ask her” 1st staff said smiling.
“$h00t,” Si-u said.
“ok, if you were given a chance to date any guy here, who would it be?”.
” Um, “she smiled nervously, Byung-ho and Do-Yun were waiting for her response.” I will pass”. she gulps her drink.
“Woah, you could have chosen me, I am the perfect candidate”. 2nd staff said jokingly and they laughed. So, the fun continues.
