FIVE YEARS LATER………..
“Ji-ho! Hurry, we are getting late”. Su-ho cried out from the living room, she and ji-ho had a plan of going to shopping for the coming event tomorrow, Su-ho’s husband was invited to the party, that’s why she asked ji-ho to join them after ji-ho tried to decline. Su-ho got married again three years ago to an amazing and generous man, who loved and took Su-ho’s son as his own until God blessed them with a baby girl and there was another one coming on the way, Su-ho is six months gone already, but she still looks elegant, her husband is into wine enterprise. ji-ho came out of her room all dressed up, she was still looking extremely attractive and simple, she had been living well on her own for over two years now since her failed marriage with Dang-Geun three years ago, she lived in a well conducive home and a high paying job in a film company and she periodically works from home and her family is leaving okay in their hometown, her mother was now a cancer-free patient.
” Su-ho, do we really have to do this?” She asked tiredly.
“yes we have to, you don’t expect me to go to the mall alone in this condition”.
” But I told you I am not interested in the party “. she frowned and Su-ho moved closer to her and placed her hands on her shoulder.
” You will, is at time you get a life, you can’t be stuck in your work all the time, you need to have fun sometimes”.
“Of course, I have time for myself and I do have fun a lot too”.
” mm-hmm” Su-ho scoffed.” but this party tomorrow will change your boring life, I promise you that”. she took her hand and walked away, ji-ho grumbled as Su-ho kept dragging her out of her apartment, they came out and entered the car, ji-ho drove the car to the mall, they went inside and it was crowded with a lot of people trooping in, and out with their friends, family and their partners. “wow, this place is amazing”. she exclaimed
” yeah, right “. She sighed and they went inside walking around the mall looking for what to buy. An hour later, they came out with shopping bags.” isn’t this too much for one party?”
“No, I want us to look different”. she sighed and ji-ho scoffed. ” come on, let’s go party”. they left to their car and zoomed off.
Later at home, ji-ho sat down on her bed working on her laptop, and then her phone rang, she picked it up immediately after she saw the caller.
,📞” Hello Mom, how are you doing?” There was a pause.”Yeah, everything is fine,(chuckle) Of course Mom, I will, okay, bye “. She hung up and lay back flat on the bed staring at the ceiling and then had a flashback of her Baek-Hyun at the club when they had their first kiss, she snapped out of it quickly. ” What are you doing ji-ho, is been years now and you are still thinking about him,” she sighs.
The next morning ji-ho was in her office working along with some other staff, then one of the staff members came and handed over some files to her.
“Please ms. ji-ho, sign on this document, the director needs it now”. she said.
“Okay, come back for it in the next thirty minutes”.
“Sure, thank you “. She left and ji-ho started signing the document.
Later in the cool evening, Ji-ho and Su-ho along with her husband arrived at the Event Center, the whole place was filled with different exclusive cars lined up in the compound, the building was that of skyscrapers with light surrounding it and beautiful flowers.
” Whose party is this by the way?” ji-ho asked as they stepped down from the car.
“Well, a friend of mine invited me to the party, he said his uncle’s son who arrived from the state today is having his birthday party and at the same time doing his housewarming”. Dae-Seong (대성) said.
(Dae-Seong combines high, vast, great, and succeeded, finished, completed).
” Really? All in one day?”.ji-ho questioned
“yeah, his parents are the ones throwing the surprise package for him”. Su-ho said.
” Who is he?”
“I don’t know his name, we will see who he is today, let’s go inside”.Dae-Seong said and they went inside.
” wow, this is magnificent”. Su-ho said as she stared amazingly at the well-furnished apartment, everything around the house where made of interior design, and the servers were passing drinks around the room, everyone was having fun, chatting with one another and also introducing business to each other. “he must be well rich to build a mansion like this”. she added as the waiter serve them some drinks.
” Yeah, the place looks amazing”. Ji-ho said as she sipped from her drink.
“you ladies should have fun, let me say hello to my friends,” Dae-Seong said.
“Okay honey, take care of yourself”. Su-ho said as she planted a kiss on his cheek and he left.” so, how do you see the party?”
“not bad, I guess”. she replied.
” I told ya, so enjoy yourself and have fun”.
“I don’t have time for fun, all I need now is a cool place to have time for myself alone”.
” Come on ji-ho, try and free yourself to fun, look around, there are different species of handsome men around, try and get closer to one”.
“Now I see the reason why you drag me here “.
” yes, because I don’t want you to be all alone in your life, you need a companion, you are beautiful and full of life, no man will see you and try to resist the urge to come close to you”. she said and then caught sight of a man from the bar staring lovely at ji-ho, Su-ho smile and turn her gaze back to ji-ho.
“why are you smiling?”.
” Well, I guess you are about to get laid tonight, because someone is seriously drooling over you”. she said and ji-ho turned in that direction and saw the man staring lustfully at her, she scoffed and turned her gaze back to Su-ho.” so, what do you think? do you like him?” she asked smiling.
“No, he is not my type, look at him, he looks like a pervert and he staring at me like he is ready to devour me”. she said, and Su-ho laughed. ” Am serious”.
“You are so funny, I think he doesn’t look like that, he looks handsome and innocent”.
” There is no way I am letting that guy come anywhere close to me “. she gulps her drink.
” Try and get to know him first “.
” Are you trying to persuade me into knowing him?”.
“No, I just want you to know who he is and what he is into”.
” Not a chance, I am not meeting anyone today, am just going to have fun on my own”. she said and took another sip from her drink. “I need a quiet place to cool my head”.
” Do you know your way round here?”.
“is a party, no one gets lost in a party”.
” I know, but this place is way bigger and more confusing than you think, you might lost your way”.
“I will be fine, trust me, if I lost my way, I will call, so go and be with your husband”.
” Are you sure you will be fine?”.
“yes, I will” ” She smiled at her and walked away.
” be careful”. Su-ho said and left to find her husband.
