Marcel walked into the basement. Everywhere was dark. There was no sight of anyone.
“Lauren?
He called.
No one answered.
He walks around a little bit in the dark but found nothing.
Soon later, he heard some slight humming sound.
He brought out his phone and turn on his phone’s torch. Light covered everything.
He saw Lauren being tied to a chair with her mouth covered with tape. He rushed to her about to untie her when everyone came in including Mr George.
“Oh well, we have Marcel in the building”
Luke said with his hands in his pocket.
Mr George smile and the bulb lights were turned. Everyone saw Marcel’s face clearly.
“Why are you doing this?
Marcel asked.
“I think you know the best answer for that…
Mr George laughed.
“We just ki||ed two birds with one stone”
How do you know Lauren Quinn?* Why are you interested in protecting her? Who are you really?

Jack walked to Lauren and remove the tape from her mouth. She breathe out a long breathe and puts on a sad face when Marcel looked at her.
Jack brought out a gun and pointed it to Lauren’s head.
“Are you going to tell us who you are or you want her life to answer our question?
Marcel looked at both of them.

Luke walked to him and hit him on that ground angrily. Marcel knelt to the ground.

Mr George became angry. He brought out his own gun and shot Marcel in the leg.

Mr George’s thug began to beat him up mercilessly. Throwing punches to his whole body.
He stood up with his swollen face and bleeding leg. He spat out blood.
“I have had enough of this”
He muttered. One of his thugs came rushing to him. Marcel grab his hand, twisted it and gave him a kick in the Adam’s apple.
Luke just smile as he watches.
Every other thug came to him and Marcel wasted no time. He gave them the beating of their life.
Mr George saw all his thugs lying in pain on the ground. He smile and shot Marcel again on the shoulder.
Marcel screamed and fell to the ground.
“I guess when you bleed out all your blood, you will be too weak to fight”
Luke smile and him a punch across his face. He held him by the collar of his neck.
“Who are you?
Am asking now that Lauren is still alive before we ki|| her.
I know you have some sort of connection with her we should know about”

Jemmy and Harry stopped in front of the shopping complex waiting for Ellie.
Jemmy noticed Harry was scared someone might die. She could see the fear in his eyes.

Harry looked at her and kissed her on the forehead.

“Well, let’s forget that and focus on Marcel and Lauren”

Ellie asked.

They all looked at the building as some cops were rushing in.

“We didn’t call the cops… Maybe someone else did”

He was about to get down when Jemmy hold him back.

He replied and stepped down from the car.
Ellie and Jemmy quickly got down also and followed him.

The cops rushed in catching everyone unarmed. They all pointed their gun at Mr George, jack, Luke and Lucy.
One of the cops untie Lauren immediately.
Lauren stood up and walked to Marcel.
“He needs medical attention… He is bleeding out”
Lauren said.
“Don’t worry, am fine…
Marcel managed to say and get up.
“We are sorry, we came late… Boss”
Every cops bowed in respect to Marcel.
“I guess my dad sent you”
Marcel said…
“Yeah…
We have to go now before the cops arrived”
The cops said as some of them lead Marcel and Lauren out.
Mr George noticed the cops are leaving. He quickly brought out his gun and shot Marcel in the chest.
Marcel fell to the ground. Lauren shouted and screamed. As soon as the cops saw Marcel on the ground. They began to fire at Mr George and everyone.
All his thugs fired at the cops protecting Mr George and his family. A bullet hit Mr George in the stomach.
Luke and the rest waste no time in the action, as they began to rain bullets.
The cops protected Lauren and Marcel out of the basement as they carried Marcel who was at the point of death.
