She has woken up, but still laid on her bed, recalling all that happened the previous night.
She picked her cell phone from the lamp stand, dialing on Hanley’s number since she was the only one who was always there for her.
” Hey, babe. Sup.” Hanley sounded from the other side of the line.
” I’m bored. ” Harmonie said dully.
” Should I come over? ” Hanley asked.
” No. I was wondering if we could meet at the church, I’ve got some thing to talk to you about.”
” Did something bad happen? ”
” No. No, it didn’t. Mom travelled and I’m all alone so, I just need someone to talk to. ”
” Okay, I’m with you. So, what time should we meet? ”
” 9 o’clock. ”

She started with a warm shower, which she spent an hour doing so. She couldn’t stop thinking about last night.
She wished fate was a human, she won’t have to waste a second to spank on it.
Could there be any part of him that is good? Were Hanley and Ace right about what they said?
Was she actually going to be the one to stop him from ki||ing innocent people?
Fate… Why??
She pulled herself into her mini flay gown and a white canvas with her little purse hung on one shoulder.
She picked her phone from the bed, inserting it into her purse as she made her way down to the living room.
She took her car key from the dinning table, heading for the door.
She started the engine, waited a little while before she zoomed off out of the compound.

At the church, Hanley had reached there before her. She was sitting on one of the chairs not far from the alter.
” Never thought you’d make it up so soon.” She said from the door and her voice echoed the building.
” Not really a fan of lateness, I’d say.” She turns to look at her. ” Let me guess, you met him. ”
Harmonie shrugged as she walked to the chair Hanley was sitting. ” You can say that again and I won’t doubt that.” She sat close to her.
” Still having the weird dreams and screams? ”
” No. Since the night he first visited, it all stopped. ”
” He found out about you. ”
” No, I think he was actually spying on us because he made mention of you and Ace telling me about him. I mean, how is it possible that he can be in different places at a time? ”
” He is a wolf, it’s a lot possible. ”
She sighed.
” Does he thr_@tens you? ”
She shook her head. ” I think he loves me, but I don’t love him a bit.” Hanley didn’t stop staring at her. ” I don’t wanna trust he does love me, we don’t know for sure what he is up to.
He might use me to get to you or Ace, who knows? That dude is a demon in human form. I somehow want to doubt this is all fate’s doing. ”
” My mother-in-law once told me, sometimes fate can be annoying. But I will tell you, most times, it has its reasons for being so annoying. ” She focused her gaze to the big crucifix hung on the wall.
” I remember back then when I got marked, I promised myself that I will leave for good and never come back. I thought I was making the wisest choice, ” shook her head. ” I was wrong. I made the biggest mistake ever.
My mother had to separate with my father because she was scared alpha Ace will come back for them. Though father tried explaining to her but she wouldn’t listen.
She left with my younger brother, who knows if they are alive or not. There, I met this guy, he was actually my first lover. If I hadn’t made that crazy choice, we wouldn’t have met, and none of us would have gotten a heart ache.
But look at me,” looks at Harmonie. “embracing fate more than I can ever imagine. Now I can’t do without him, because ever bit of me keeps wanting him each time… everytime.
And yours can be the same too, or even more better. Something tells me he is not evil, he was only doing those out of greediness. You can change him, I believe in you. ”
Harmonie stared at the crucifix, ” He said he has something to show me.”
” Then let him explore your heart. ” They both looked at each other. ” Besides, he was the cutest male in BridgeGate. He was everyone’s dream remember? Now, he is all yours, there’s no one to drag him with you. ”
She rested her head on Hanley’s shoulder. ” I really miss BridgeGate.”
” Seriously?”
” Mm-hmm.”
” Yeah, me too. ” She looks at Harmonie. ” Why is your heart beating fast? ” She asked.
” Me? ” She raises up her head, looking at Hanley. ” I don’t understand. ”
” A part of your chest touched my hand and I could feel the beat of your heart, are you scared of something? ”
” No, I’m cool. How fast is it? ”
Leans her head on Harmonie’s chest. ” Very. Like those kinds you feel when you’re staring at your nightmare or… ” She paused.
” Or what? ” Harmonie looked terrified.
” Or scared of losing someone.”
She touches her chest. ” I… I…”
