Eric was in his room, wearing just a singlet and black short on his body. He just dressed up after having a shower and was about to put on his royal robe when Hester came into his room.

” Hey. Sorry to stop you, but I just wanted to thank you for standing up for my friend earlier. It was really great of you to do so.” She said gratefully.
” Oh, that was your friend? In that case, my name is Blaze.” He introduced himself and offered his hand.
” I’m Celestia.” She replied and took his hand warmly.

” Why is your hand so cold?” She asked after breaking the handshake.
” Oh, I have ice powers. It’s kinda my thing.” He revealed.
” Ice powers? I’m a freakin’ mermaid! I come from the ocean, and you have ice! It’s similar to water!” She said enthusiastically, and he chuckled.
” Yeah, I realized that.” He said.
” You’re so nice. You’re literally an ice god, yet you’re so gentle and warm. I love you so much already.” She smiled, and he chuckled again.
” The same goes to you. You’ve been such a fun person to talk too, I bet we have more things in common.” He said.
They seemed to become silent afterwards and began staring at each other for no reason…
An idea popped into Blaze’s head.
” Hey, do you mind going with me to Prom? I’m literally single and searching.” He said, and her eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
” Y… You… Wanna go… With me? T… To prom?” She stuttered , and he smiled, waiting for her response.
” Of course I’d love to go. It’s just so… Shocking.” She said.
” Right. I have to go now, but I’ll see you later.” He said and left.
Her eyes trailed after him till he went out of his sight. She squealed immediately and started jumping like a psycho.
” He f-__-kin’ asked me out! He f-__-kin’ asked me out!” She squealed joyously.

Diane also went out after the class was over. She was heading straight for her room, but stopped when she saw a guy and girl arguing.
She decided to investigate the matter and brought herself closer to them to hear their argument.
” You f-__-kin’ left me for no good d@mn reason! I devoted my whole life to you for 2 good years, only for you to break up with me? How shameful of you!” She shouted at him.
” You’re also at fault here. I love you too, but you never really showed it to me. You just decided to play with my feelings, you’re not even the right person for me.” He retorted.

It was at that moment that they both turned and saw Diane standing close to them and watching blankly. The girl eyed her badly and stormed away.
” What’s with her? Is she like your girlfriend?” She asked him.
” Why do you care?” He retorted back with a question.
” Cos I do?” Diane replied, and he looked away.
” She’s my ex, to be precise. We just broke up.” He corrected her.
” Oh…” Diane looked away awkwardly.
” Her name’s Trixie, and I’m Jeremy. What’s yours?” He asked, and looked back at her.
” Diane.” She replied.
” I’m actually a werewolf. She and I have been dating for the past 2 years like I asked, but she’s not even my mate. My werewolf senses have been messing up lately, which led me to thinking that she was my mate, whereas she wasn’t.” He explained.
” Sorry to hear that. I’m actually a shape shifter.” She smiled.
Jeremy gave her a warm smile in return. They began exchanging different talks about different things, and soon got comfortable with each other.
They walked down the hallway together as they kept chatting.
” Yunno… I’m still trying to find my mate. I’m hoping to just smell her nearby on time because, I don’t wanna be single in prom.” He said.
” Me too. Good luck on your search by the way.” She waved at him and left.
Jeremy sighed as his facial expression turned negative and he clenched his fists.
It took him a lot of strength to hold down his wolf from getting out. He could smell the strong fragrance around Diane, meaning that she was his mate.
” You fool! That was our mate right there! Why didn’t you tell her?” His wolf, Shawn raged at him.
” I’m not ready for a mate yet. I’m still gonna try and get back Trixie.” He said.
” Good luck with that. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, because I already told you that girl was a wh-_-re. She’s not fit for you, so get our mate back right now!” Shawn shouted at him.
” Just shut up.” Jeremy cut him off and walked away.
♣ SOME DAYS AFTER ∞ PROM NIGHT ♣
It was finally the night that everyone had been expecting, the legendary night that changes most of youth’s lives, prom night.
Many ladies and guys were just standing in groups, dressed in smart prom outfits as they filled the air with bubbly talks and gists.
Some were showing off their ski||s on the dance floor to interest the opposite s*x, while some were getting drunk with many bottles on the ground. Some were even smoking and doing drugs in secret corners, while some made the air hot as they f-__-ked themselves in secret rooms.
Diane was present, dressed in a purple gown. Her makeup was purple also, same with her heels. Even the headband she used in tying her hair was purple.
She was looking extra beautiful as she looked at all the couples jealously. They all had partners, except for her.
She was still observing when she sighted Jeremy in the crowd. Her mood brightened, but it got ki||ed immediately when she saw Trixie talking to him for a moment and then she dragged him away.
Diane felt something was fishy and decided to follow them to find out what was going on between them.
She followed them to a restroom where they both went in and locked themselves in. Diane went close to the door and leaned on it to hear their conversation.
It didn’t take less than minutes before the door got pushed open. She got pushed off as a consequence and fell right on her butt.
Jeremy’s eyes widened on seeing her.
” Diane!” He exclaimed, and she bit her lips as she flushed shamefully in front of him.
He helped her get up, and she avoided looking at his face.
” What are you doing here?” He asked.
” I followed you here when I saw you coming with Trixie. I just wanted to find out what you were doing.” She told the truth.
” If you wanted to find out so badly, I was telling him to pull out a thorn that got into my knee. See?” Trixie said, and Diane looked at her to see her kicking the leg with a little bandage on the knee.
Trixie scoffed and left, then Diane looked back at Jeremy.
” That was what we were doing, nothing else.” He said, and she felt wrong for following him in the first place.
” I’m gonna go now.” She said and made to leave, but he pulled her back by the arm, making her gasp.
” Will you be my prom date? Please?” He asked in the most pleasant way ever, and she gulped.
She turned back to meet a serious look in his eyes, and butterflies ate up her stomach.
” Yes.” She answered, and he smiled.
He held her hand tightly and pulled her out of the restroom.
Meanwhile, Damon was standing with a wine cup in his hand. He was looking hot as fire, dressed in a formal tuxedo with cute bangs covering his forehead.
He looked like a rich son of a billionaire, so f-__-kin’ handsome, luxurious and gorgeous.
His segziness was so illegal. He broke all laws and limits of looking good, he was so alluring!
He had been waiting for Kimora for quite a long time. He had searched for her, but couldn’t even find anyone that looked like her.
He gulped the rest of the wine in his cup and dropped it, then walked out of the Institute.
A fountain was standing right outside. He went to sit on the edge and gazed thoughtfully at the full moon.
” Damon?” He heard his name called, and turned right to see yet the most amazing thing he had ever sighted in years.
Kimora, dressed in a long black gown. It was sleeveless and left her shoulders bare, then it had a long slit down one of her legs, exposing it. It hugged her perfect hourglass shape perfectly, making her look so d@mn hot.
Her face was a separate beauty on its own to talk about. Her hair was flowing beautifully from her shoulders.
He stood slowly as he stared at the deadly thirst trap before him.
” You look…” He began, utterly lost for words.
” I look what?” She inquired, eager to know what he had to say.
” It’s just… You look amazing.” He complimented her, and she blushed.
For the first time in her entire life, she gave out a genuine smile. Damon felt like he fainted and went to heaven, the smile was so paradisaic!
It took time for him to snap back to reality. He took her hand and sat them down together by the edge of the fountain.
They gazed upwards at the night sky, watching the bright moon like it was a precious jewel.
She sighed freely, then looked at him only to catch him staring at her.
She couldn’t look away and just stared back at his utterly handsome face. Their staring caused their hearts to go wild and race marathons.
They broke the stare nervously, looking away. She tucked her hair behind her ear stylishly while he ran his fingers through his hair.
Their minds were going crazy. They were just so hot for each other that they couldn’t help but get nervous.
He shifted his hand on the fountain. She shifted hers too, unintentionally causing their hands to touch.
They were both dazed by the contact and turned to each other again.
Temptation settled in, and the air between them seemed to get tense. Their faces started coming closer as their eyes slowly went shut.
They shared a warm, passionate kiss together. The moonlight served as a spotlight for the astounding couple.
Yisabel and Terrius were on the rooftop, watching from there.
” Two lovers kissing under the night sky. What could be more perfect?” Yisabel said with sarcasm and gave an evil smirk.
” Their love is so hot, I bet fire would make it hotter.” Terrius stated.
” Of course, you’re right.” Yisabel said.
She closed one of her palms tightly. Her eyes turned brightly lit as sparks flew out of her closed palm. She opened it, then a powerful flame just sat there.
She threw it at the couple. They both sensed the danger and broke the kiss with worried looks.
They finally glanced at the coming flame just meters away. Damon quickly pushed himself and Kimora out of the way, then the flame met the fountain and it exploded.
He shielded her protectively as they got covered by smithereens of the fountain.
” Hey genius, you missed.” Terrius tainted her.
” Not quite. All I needed to do was disrupt their kiss, honestly.” She replied, then they both took off to the skies.
Students heard the loud explosion from within the Institute and came out, murmuring in wonder.
Damon lifted himself a little from Kimora, and theit faces were very near as they released hot breaths.
” Are you okay?” He inquired with concern.
” As long as you are.” She replied, then he helped her up.
” What the hell happened ?” Kimora muttered as she looked at the destroyed fountain.
” I don’t really know, but from the look of things, someone tried to attack us.” He said.
” I don’t feel very safe. We don’t know who the attacker is. What if they come back to harm us and we’re not able to escape? She panicked,and he held her face.
” It’s okay, I got you. As ling as I’m here, no harm will ever come to us.” He assured, holding her hand tightly.
They threw their arms around each other and embraced tightly.
♣ SAME NIGHT ∞ ROYAL PALACE ♣
Queen Avery was making her way to King Eric’s room. She found the door slightly open and pushed it open more to see him inside.
He was in his royal wear, about to step outside too when he met her.
The look on her face told Eric that she was here for a serious reason.
” Queen Avery, what are you doing here?” He asked.
” That’s Mom to you. You’re my son, and I’m your mother. You will listen to everything thay I tell you, right?” She said, and he raised brows questioningly.
” Of course. Is there anything wrong?” He asked.
” Of course there is, and it’s about your leadership, your rule. Ever since your father died, I’ve watched you take over the throne and become a great ruler of this kingdom. You’re the best son I’ve ever had, and I’m proud to be called your mother. But then again, you’ve disappointed me. Your kingdom is falling apart, and terrible things are happening under your rule. Why are you allowing all this to happen?” She questioned
” I’m not, Mother. Question the gods about this, they didn’t do anything to help me. They wanted me to get a wife or else they would unleash utter disaster upon my kingdom.”. He retorted.
” And that’s why Raya is here, right?” She asked, and he went silent for a few seconds before answering.
” She isn’t my wife. She’s a queen for the kingdom and isn’t in any way betrothed to me. Let her name stay out of this conversation, please.” He told with a serious gaze.
” But I won’t. Why are you acting like she’s a discomfort to you? Now you’re just making me feel like she isn’t even here to be a queen, more like a slave.” She returned.
He began to walk out on her, but her voice stopped him.
” What about your kingdom? Think about your people, Eric. You’re just making them suffer unnecessarily with your selfish deeds. You’ve become a cruel King, unlike the kind son that I bore who wouldn’t even hurt a fly.” She said emotionally.
” I’ve changed.” He muttered, turning back with a sudden creepy look.
Queen Avery got scared as he walked back to her and maintained a very close and intimidating gap between them.
” I am King over Euphoria. No one can overthrow me, and no one dares to question my rule. If you feel like you aren’t comfortable with how I rule my kingdom, you can exit my kingdom peacefully.” He told her heartlessly and left.
Queen Avery stared like she just got struck with shock. She folded her palm on her heart and looked down slowly.
Princess Rose stepped in and found her mother in a questionable state. She felt sorry for her and went to embrace her, patting her head dearly.
Her eyes welled up with tears, and she let them drop on her own daughter. Rose couldn’t fight back her own and started crying too.
” I’ve lost my son. He’s gone for life.” She sobbed bitterly.
” It’s okay Mom, please stop crying.” Rose comforted her.
♣ THE NEXT DAY ♣
Heather strangely took a visit to Kimora’s home. She met her parents inside, and the couple were caught astonished by her appearance.
She gave them a lethal smile, flashing her fangs under her dark eyes.
” Kimora is a very special gem. She’s been a very good girl, you’ve been taking good care of her.” She stated.
Her parents exchanged questioning glances.
” We don’t care about her. She ran away from home a long time ago, that girl is long gone.” Her father said without remorse.
” Did she really ran away? Or did your own son, Oberon chase her away to cover up for his crime? For your information, she’s at Euphoria institute, doing very well.” She informed them. They were caught surprised.
” You’ve raised her so far to be a strong, powerful girl. I’ve come to thank you for everything you’ve done in her life, for how you h@ťěd and tortured her so inhumanely.” She said and released a dark grin.
” We were only doing our part. You were the one who said that we should torture her.” The mother said.
” I know. But your help is no longer needed, so I’ve come to reward the favour.” She told, and her eyes turned golden. The couple hugged themselves tightly, getting scared for their lives.
Heather walked out calmly of the home and gave it a last evil smile before she vanished.
Terrius entered the home after she left, looking for his parents.
He was instantly met with a horrifying scene next. He found their corpses lying on the ground with their dead bodies severely mutilated and covered in blood.
His eyes widened horrifically.
” Holy shi-”
Before he could say more, the house exploded, going up in humongously terrifying flames.
