“I can’t do this. No I can’t” Jewel said holding onto the seat of the car tightly.
“Okay now. Don’t worry. It will all be easy peasy” Luke said
“Easy for you to say but not for me to act” Jewel said refusing to let go of the seat.
“I’m with you, okay. So don’t be scared”
And with that the car doors opened

Jewel wasn’t comfortable with the stares so she walked quickly into the building.
“Hey Doughnut, You’re….”
Jewel turned to see Dina who had multiple expressions displayed on her face.
“Jewel, is everything alright???? You look different”
“You don’t like it “Jewel asked Dina making a face
“No no no. That’s not what I meant. You changed. It’s like you are back to the bestie, the first happy and lively Jewel”
Jewel just replied Dina’s statement with a smile and said “I’m glad you made it”
“Any thing for you baby girl” Dina said as they continued their discussion oblivious to Luke who was beside them.
—-Natasha’s POV——
“What’s with her new look? I sure it’s all fake” Natasha said and Sheila asked “Though I’m wondering who gave her the car”
“I’m sure she borrowed it” Sydney said as they glared at Jewel who was talking to Dina.
Natasha turned to find Zach still staring at Jewel and she folded her fist in rage “Jewel will surely get it from me” she mutered as the walked away angrily.
***AIRPORT***
A plane landed few minutes ago. People could be seen moving to and fro but a guy in particular was dragging his luggage.
“Hey, Alex” a young lady waved walking towards him.
“You made it” she said as she reached him.
“Yeah” he replied absentmindedly.
It’s been a year since Alex left the country
“You know he wouldn’t be happy if he saw your and facevthis way. So you gotta smile and live for him” The young lady said.
“Don’t tell me you believe he is dead” Alex asked
“Hey, it was hard for me to accept the fact”
“Then don’t accept that fact” Alex said as walked away
“You know more than everyone that it was hard for me, yet I decided to move on. And I did. And you too can move on”
“Mira, don’t tell me you believe that. Even though you didn’t tell him, I know you loved him, so don’t tell me that okay. How can you believe that he died mysteriously. For goodness sake his body wasn’t found” Alex half yelled as he walked away from Mira.
“Alex whether you believe me or not, Luke wouldn’t want to see you sulking. It hurts to accept a painful truth but we must live for him” Mira said as she entered the car.
“The only reason I came back to this place was to find out what happined to Luke. And until I have seen his body, I won’t believe what anyone says” Alex muttered as he entered the car.
***POTTERS COLLEGE***
Jewel sat down in class listening and unlike before, she knew she understood what the Lecturer was saying. Dina was sitting beside her and Luke was sitting on the desk in front of Dina. He was studying her and her facial features.
Although, Jewel was understanding the lecturerer, she felt uncomfortable with Luke.
Dina wasn’t seeing Luke and so she didn’t know. Jewel got tired of Luke’s act and unknowningly scoffed.
No one heard her except for Luke and Dina.
“Is something wrong” Dina asked
“Nope, dont worry about me” Jewel said
“Why the scoff” Luke asked not believing her but Jewel ignored him.
But then she remembered what had happened the last time she chose to ignore him so she gave him a look of ‘don’t try me’
Luke disregard her and focused on Dina whoose mind was far from the lecture going on in class.
She was busy picking her nails smiling foolishly at something she was thinking about. Luke scoffed at her act and said “Birds of thesame feather flock together. No wonder Jewel is dull. How can she be brilliant when she calls this absentminded girl a friend”
Jewel heard what he said and didn’t know when words left her mouth “Don’t talk about my bestie that way and get up from the desk”
Dina looked at Jewel and then her desk. She touched Jewel on the neck to check her temperature.
“Your temperature is okay”
“I’m sorry, didn’t mean to say that loud” Jewel said as the tuined around to see that no one heard her.
She breathe in relief then she heard Dina say “Your crush is looking at you”
“Wait,;what?????” Jewel muttered as she turned her eyes to find Zack staring at her. She immediately looked away and Dina muttered “You’re such a ki|| joy. I thought you were having a crush on him”.
“He has Natasha” Jewel muttered wanting to end the conversation.
“Forget about that Natty trash of a her” Dina said and Jewel chuckled.
“Why are you both disturbing the peace of this class” the Lecturer asked
“No,.we weren’t” Jewel replied
“What was the last thing I said” He asked and everyone turned to Jewel while Jewel faced Luke . He smirked at her and she scoffed inwardly.
“What was the last thing I said?” The lecturer asked again.
“The last thing you said was what was the last thing I said” Jewel said with a cunning smirk which she directed at Luke
“Define the term species?” He asked again
“Species is defined as a group of organisms that consist of similar individuals capable of interbreeding or exchanging genes among themselves. In biology, species is the most basic unit of classification, as well as a taxonomic rank.” Jewel answered beautifully leaving the teacher and Dina shocked.
