“This ….. these feelings are just like whenever I’m with Rudy or seeing him” She muttered.
“It can’t be it, right? It can’t be,can it”
“His eyes?”
“It’s because of his eyes, that why my heart is pounding this fast”
“But… but… but those…. those eyes are just like Rudy’s own”
OUTSIDE.
Meanwhile, Cody was also taken aback by the sight of Celine.
He had never thought that he would see her, and he couldn’t help but wonder why she was here and why she was hiding.
He tried to get a better look at her, but she was keeping her head down and he couldn’t see her face.
“Paul” Cody called.
“Sir”
“On our way here you said Linda is already at home waiting for me right?” Cody asked.
“Yes,” Paul nodded.
“But you didn’t tell me she brought a guest,” Cody said.
“No, I didn’t,” Paul replied.
“I’m as surprised as you are, sir,” Paul said.
“Okay” Cody said.
Suddenly, a voice came from the front door.
“Cody!!” Linda called, running towards him and throwing her arms around him in a tight hug.
“Oh, I’m so glad you’re here!” She exclaimed.
“I’ve missed you so much!”
“Huh? We were still together this morning until we parted ways at the principal’s office” Cody said and hugged her back.
“I know, but I still miss you, don’t you miss me?” She asked and Cody sighs.
“I miss you too” Cody lied, since they parted ways at the principal’s office he hadn’t thought of her not even once.
“For real?” Linda smiled, getting excited.
“Yeah,” Cody replied, pulling back from the hug and Linda gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
Cody was taken aback by the kiss but he didn’t push her away.
Cody cleared his throat and asked.
“I heard you brought a guest”
“Huh? How… how did you know that?” She asked.
“One of the guards told me, ” Cody replied.
“Was it Paul?” Linda asked, looking at Paul.
“No, Mrs Linda it wasn’t me, I can swear on my life” Paul quickly said and Cody laughed.
“It wasn’t him,” Cody said.
“Anyway I also brought a guest with me, you can come down now Nathan”
He said, and Nathan got out of the car.
“Hello,” Nathan said.
Linda recognized him immediately.
“You’re Nathan the guy from this morning, the one that came in after Cody’s si…..”
The rest of the words hung in her mouth as Cody smashed his lips on her.
Linda was caught off guard by the kiss.
It was unexpected and a bit aggressive, and she found herself melting into it.
Cody’s lips were soft and warm, and they moved against hers with a kind of urgency that she’d never experienced before.
She was surprised to find that she was enjoying the kiss as she wrapped her arms around Cody’s neck.
As the kiss deepened, Linda found herself getting lost in the thoughts.
Why was Cody kissing her? What did this mean? Did she do something wrong?
She was still in thoughts when Cody finally pulled away and whispered something into her ear.
“Do you want to blow my cover?” Cody whispered into Linda’s ear and her eyes widened.
“Oh! I’m so sorry” Linda whispered back in a shaky voice. “I didn’t mean to…”
But she couldn’t finish the sentence, Cody had already carried her.
“It’s fine, let go inside, father must be waiting for us,” Cody said.
And with that, he started to carry Linda into the mansion.
“Are those two dating,” Nathan asked Paul as he stared at Cody and Linda.
“I’m not sure” Paul replied, his eyes never leaving Cody and Linda.
“But she was just about to say something important when he….”
“You should follow them Nathan, Mr Cody will be mad if he doesn’t see you inside” Paul cut him off.
“You’re right,” Nathan said, snapping out of his thoughts.
“I should probably go inside”
He started to walk towards the mansion.
LOUIS’S RESIDENCE.
He yelled and ran a hand through his hair, his frustration mounting.
“What? Did… did… did you just yell at me”
Mina said her voice shaking with emotions as she brought out a knife from her pocket.
Adrian’s eyes widened in shock.
“Mina, what are you doing?” He asked, his voice filled with fear.
“I want to ki|| you, just like the way you ki|| senior Rudy” Mina half yelled.
Before Adrian could react, Mina launched herself at him, knife raised high in the air.
He tried to dodge out of the way, but it was too late.
The knife plunged into his chest, and he felt a sharp pain $h00t through his body.
He looked down at the knife, the shock and pain slowly giving way to fear.
Mina stared at him, her eyes cold and unreadable.
She twisted the knife, and Adrian screamed in agony.
“Mina, please stop,” He begged, his voice hoarse and barely audible.
“I didn’t ki|| Rudy,”
“I swear to you, I didn’t do it,” Adrian said, the pain in his chest getting worse by the second.
“Please, you have to believe me”
Mina stood over him, the knife still clutched in her hand when suddenly the door and their mother walked in with the driver.
“Mina! What are you doing?!” Their mother exclaimed in shock and horror evident on her face.
“What is going on here?”
Mina looked up at her mother, her face pale and her eyes wide.
“Mom, I….” She began, but her voice trailed off as she realized what she had done.
She looked back at Adrian, her hands shaking as she dropped the knife.
“I’m so sorry” She whispered, tears welling up in her eyes and their mother began to walk over to them with an angry look on her face.
“I didn’t mean to do this Mom, I just I just….” Mina stammered as their mother got in front of her.
“Shut up” Their mother said and gave Mina a loud slap on the face that everyone in the room heard.
“Mina, how could you?” Their mother said, the anger evident in her voice.
“I thought I raised you better than this, I thought you knew right from wrong, but clearly I was wrong”
Mina was too stunned to speak. She had never seen her mother so angry before, and she didn’t know what to do.
“I can’t believe you would do something like this to your own brother because of some random dead guy,” Their mother continued, her voice quivering with emotion.
“I’m so disappointed in you”
Mina broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. She fell to the floor, burying her face in her hands.
“Mum, it’s not her fault, it …..” Adrian tried to defend Mina but was cut off by their mother.
“Shut up and let the driver take you to hospital”
“But Mom, I’m fine!” Adrian protested holding his bleeding chest but their mother was having none of it.
“You’re not fine, and I’m not going to let you make this any worse than it already is,” She said, her voice firm.
“Now, let’s get you to the hospital”
Reluctantly, Adrian allowed the driver to take him to the hospital.
As he was being led out of the house, he turned and looked back at Mina, who was still sobbing on the floor.
He felt a wave of guilt wash over him, and he wished that he could take back everything that had happened.
Adrian thought as he went out with the driver.
“Hey, young lady, go up to your room, you’re grounded for trying to ki|| your brother,”Their mother said.
“But Mom, I didn’t ….”
“Just shut up and go to your room” Their mother cut her off.
Feeling defeated, Mina slowly got up and walked to her room.
She closed the door and sat down on her bed, the tears still flowing freely.
SITTING ROOM.
Mina’s mother sighs heavily as she quietly sits down.
“Those children won’t ki|| me” She muttered and her phone suddenly started ringing inside her purse.
She took out her phone and saw an unknown ID calling.
She didn’t recognize the number but something made her answer the call.
“Hello?” She said tentatively.
“Hello, am I speaking with Grant?” A woman’s voice said on the other end of the line.
“You are, Can I ask who’s calling please?”
“Of course, it’s me Leah,” The woman’s voice said and Mina’s mother’s eyes widened.
