ANNA LEIGH’S POV
“Rosa!” Abuela grunted angrily.
“Frida.” Rosa retorted, also looking furious.
I became confused “Do you two know each other?”
“Who is she to you, Annabella?” Abuela asked, pointing rudely to Rosa.
“She’s my…friend.” I replied nervously.
Rosa looked dejected, holding her purse strap.
“Your friend?” Abuela scoffed “So you decided to her again, you b×tch.”
“I didn’t know.” She sneered, holding my hand tight.
“What’s going on?” I asked, looking baffled.
Rosa smiled at me, trying to touch my cheeks “Annabella…”
“Annabella!” Abuela exclaimed “Excuse for some seconds.”
“But…”
“Annabella!” She yelled.
“What’s going on?!” Chris shouted as he came out of the bathroom.
“Chris, take your fiancee out of this place, Rosa and I need to talk.” Abuela said.
“C’mon.” He held my hand as we left the house.
“I don’t understand, what’s going on?” I whispered to him.
“Me too.” Chris shrugged as we’re walking down the stairs.
I removed his hand and ran upstairs “Anna…” Chris tried to call me back but I ignored.
I reached the door entrance to eavesdrop. I’m feeling uneasy right now.
I peeped through the door and noticed her back, how did I not noticed this since I’ve knew her? Her white wings tattoo that abuela said I should greet. So it’s Rosa.
“Why are you here?” Abuela asked “So you’ve decided to come here and take Annabella away from me.”
“No, I…” Rosa stammered “I didn’t know you guys are here, I have no idea that I’ll see my daughter again.”
Wait what?! But my mom’s dead when I was born, right?
“Ya no es tu hija la abandonaste y te escapaste todo por bailar como una puta.” Abuela yelled.
ROSA’S POV
I felt disheartened hearing that from my mother-in-law.
She is no longer your daughter, you abandoned her and you ran away to dance like a wh-_-re.
“You’ll never admit what your son did is wrong?” I sobbed.
“My son was trying to take away the sl×tty mentally you have, so it won’t reach your daughter.” She replied.
“He’s always beating me with a belt!!” I cried “Just because I refused to wash his clothes, he poured acid on my back, I had to change it into a white tattoo!!” I cried loudly.
She paused for a second as a tear fell from her eyes “Why didn’t tell me? Right after you gave birth to Annabella, you faked your death and ran away, leaving your baby, you didn’t let me see how you’re doing.” She sobbed.
I sniffed with tear filled up in my eyes “I’m sorry, that day he brought another woman into our house while I was giving birth, I just couldn’t take it anymore. I didn’t mean to hurt my baby girl, I swear.”
The door was hit “Anna Leigh! Anna Leigh! Wait!” My child’s boyfriend was shouting.
I came out to the veranda and saw my child running away and entering a taxi.
“Annabella!” I was to go after her but it’s too late “She h@ťěs me.”
“She doesn’t.” Abuela smiled “She must have heard all what we discussed so she will understand.”
ANNA LEIGH’S POV
I started having hiccups, not knowing whether I should cry or be happy my mom’s still alive and with me, so Abuela is really my grandma, my dad really abandoned me?
I was still having hiccups as tears was dripping down my eyes.
My phone beeped, I checked, it’s a message from Adam?
