Francis, Rose and Gift were coming back from stream, so Francis used the opportunity and told Gift that since he has officially made himself know to her parents and family that he wants to marry her
And that is high time she visits his home to know where he is coming out from and also meet his mother as well because she has been eager to meet her
Gift agreed and promise to give him feed back tomorrow after discussing with her mother
Francis agreed and hopefully wait for tomorrow and also pray that his mother will love his wife to be.
That evening, Gift told her mother about the discussion she had with Francis, her mother agreed and advised her to be very careful, and behave like a trained daughter from a responsible home and above all, she should not sleep with him until it becomes certain that they have married
Gift was so excited and thanked her mother for the advice and privilege she granted her too
The next morning, she told Rose that her mum agreed for her to visit Francis, Rose was truly happy for her friend and gave her some advice too.
Later in the afternoon, Francis came around and Gift broke the good news for him, he was excited and lift Gift up with joy he rotates her round and round, the joy was too much that they both engaged in a passionate kiss
When they realized themselves, they disengaged looking around and thank God nobody was coming along the road at the moment.
They both went to Gift’s house and Francis thanked her Mother personally for giving her daughter permission
On Friday, Francis came and picked her up, it was the neighbouring village not too far from Gift’s village, they got down at the park and entered a bike that will carry them to the house although not too far from his hous
In Gifts heart, she was expecting to see a big modern house or at least a cement house, but what she saw to be Francis house sent a chill shiver all over her body
She was beyond shock and so angry with Francis inside her heart, instant hatred flow through her veins for Francis although she managed to hide it for the main time.
Francis mother came out, she is not all that old, still strong and beautiful in her own way, the resemblance between Francis and the woman is not very rigid, Gift didn’t give much thought about that because she thought that maybe he looks like his father
The woman came out from the small mud house and embraced Gift lovingly , she took her mini bag from her and lead the way asking her how her mother and family is doing, Gift replied her faking a Smile that they are all fine.
Gift was looking at Francis with a questioning eyes but Francis totally ignored her covering everything with a smile.
After a little chat with Francis mother, she excused herself to go and get something from the market, immediately she left, Gift turned to Francis with rage in her eyes and asked him
Wait oo Francis, is this your house or grand mother’s house?
Francis held her hand with his face beaming with Smile, Gift dear, this is my house but I promise you with time, I will build a better one for you, us and our unborn children.
Gift was so irritated on hearing unborn children, she raised her hand and shunned Francis never to think about having a future with her in his entire miserable life, she dragged her hands off Francis hold, sighing angrily.
