CHAPTER 29⚔️30
Evelyn bit her lips in regret.She shouldn’t have acted crazy to him if she knew he was this naughty.Was he crazy to ask them to make babies when they just started dating.
“What are you doing?”asked Evelyn nervously as she pushed him away while Charles giggled.
“What do you mean?Have you forgotten?We are couples.”Charles said jokingly tilting the last sentence.
“I said that but I didn’t mean we should….you know what I mean”said Evelyn as she fiddled with the hem if her shirt.
“Don’t worry.I won’t do anything today. It is too early for that besides this isn’t a good place for our first time.”said Charles and Evelyn’s body burned hot.
“You are crazy”said Evelyn as she went towards the bed.
“Don’t sleep on that bed with those wet clothes on”said Charles and Evelyn stared at him questioningly.
“You will make the bed wet and you might even catch cold overnight”said Charles and Evelyn nodded thoughtfully but she wasn’t still willing to pull off her clothes.
“I understand if you are feeling uncomfortable.I will pull off my clothes first.”said Charles as he pulled off his clothes leaving only his boxers on.
“It’s your turn now. I promise I won’t touch you.”said Charles as he laid on the bed staring at Evelyn.
“Then you better keep your promise to avoid having broken bones”said Evelyn as she pulled off her clothes leaving only her lingerie on.
Charles gulped down hardly and silently cursed in his heart.He regrets making that promise but now there was nothing he could do.
Evelyn laid beside Charles as her heart pounded heavily against her chest. It was her first time sleeping alone with a man and she was even semi-naked.
Charles’s hormones were on a rage and his body burned hot.He knew keeping his promise would be partly impossible but he had to keep it so Evelyn could at least have some trust in him.
He felt like he had just punished himself by making her pull off her clothes.
Meanwhile,Michael and the other staffs in the company were in distress. It had been hours and they hadn’t heard a word from Charles. It was unlike him to leave the office unannounced and he didn’t even take Martins along.
Michael’s eyes widened in realization that he must have visited his uncles He knew that Charles loved to visit his uncles alone but the only confusing aspect was that he went with Evelyn.
It was past 11:00pm and every staff of the company hadn’t left for their respective homes.They were busy working and searching for Charles and all the trackers they had on him had been destroyed.
Michael paced up and down as he rubbed his chin.There was no way his mother was going to let him be if anything happens to Charles.
His mother and Charles’s mother were childhood friends and after a while they lost contacts.
They got to meet again many years later but his mother had became Mrs Scott and Charles’s mother was Mrs Brooklyn.
They picked up their friendship until Charles’s mother’s mysterious death.His mother knew something was fishy but she didn’t know what it was.
She made Michael watch Charles’s every mood since then.She wanted to protect her best friend’s child at any cost and Michael sometimes felt like his mother loved Charles than she loved him.
He had gotten a job at Charles’s company as his personal assistant because that was the only way to protect him closely but now he doesn’t even know where Charles was.
He was sure his mother won’t let him off the hook.Charles was unaware of the relationship between their mothers and he was just a personal assistant to Charles but to him Charles was someone who shared his mother’s love therefore he referred Charles as his brother.
“We found the Ceo’s car”yelled Mr.Gabriel jolting Michael out of his thoughts.
“Where??”Michael asked as he went towards him.
“In a ocean around the deserted area in the north side of the country but there is no one in the car”said Mr.Gabriel.
“Prepare the helicopter in 30mins also prepare a ship and search under the water.I will go on the helicopter with few people and search nearby forest”ordered Michael.
“Yes,sir”they all said in unison as they started working.
Charles woke up and couldn’t find Evelyn beside him.His eyes widened as he realized that she might have been taken by the assassins.
He put on his shirt and moved outside.
He looked around and didn’t see Evelyn.The fear in his heart surged again as his eyes darted around looking for her.
“Evelyn!!!”he yelled as he searched for her.He couldn’t find her anywhere and many thoughts swam through his mind.
Tears filled his eyes as he searched for her.He felt incompetent and less a man.He couldn’t even protect a single woman then how would he be able to protect his father’s empire from his uncles.
“Evelyn!!!!!!!”he yelled loudly in a cracked voice as tears poured down his eyes
