CHAPTER THREE: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER 2
Chloe remain seated while the king and Thanatos engage in discussion, since when do he invite his children for breakfast? All because Thanatos is here ” how is everything” father smile ” hope the palace is to your likening ”
” Absolutely” Thanatos smiled ” your hospitality is generous”
” Is they any woman to your likening now?”
” Indeed ” his gaze travel back to meet Freya and I roll my eyes ” she is still looking gorgeous” he look at me after few minutes and smile, I watch him…pretty sure he is someone that can be called a wolf in sheep clothing.
” Then she shall be yours ”
” I was talking about Chloe ” my eyes widen at the sound of that, what game is he playing? Looking back at him, his eyes on his wine then back to father ” she is one of the kind ”
Father chuckle ” you must be joking ” he frown ” do you plan to marry her?”
” Marry?” His gaze meet mine ” why would I?”
Freya chip in ” what do you mean?”
” I want her for a night ” he smile ” will that be enough favour for the first day?”
” You mean” Freya gasp ” you mean you want to sleep with my sister?”
Thanatos nod his head ” of course ” he once again look my direction ” that is if she agrees to it” my gaze move back to meet my father, who is smiling my way, of course he won’t mind agreeing to such a thing.
As long as marriage doesn’t come my way, this man is willingly to push me away, far from him ” of course ” I smile ” it is lord Thanatos” my gaze travel back to meet a confused Thanatos, I thought this is what he desires ” am sure I will enjoy it ”
” Milord ” Freya look at him ” are you sure you want her, I mean….they are far more beautiful maids for you”
” Worry not ” his voice calm ” I have decided to start from the lowest”
Losing appetite, I stand to my feet ” excuse me ” walking out of the dining hall, I clench my hands, usually in novels, any normal person would have stolen a lot of money and run away, but that will only bring harm to people around me.
I don’t want to be the reasons for people’s death, I do not wish for that and to live this cursed life to my fullest extent, I have decided to move forward in my plans.
Tonight, I will make Thanatos take me away from here, with any means possible, I just have to think of something, something I say to make him take me away.
Walking back to my room, I open the door only to find gill standing right there ” where were you?” I frown, why is he acting like he is my owner.
” I believe you shouldn’t be in my chamber ”
” Why not?” He frown and I walk in, purposely leaving the door open, incase escape is required ” you know for a fact that we are to be married ”
I fold my hands, hating each word that escapes his lips ” I never agreed to that ”
” Chloe ”
” You can’t just barge into my room gill ” I growl ” if everyone is making fun of me, do you think you should? You expect me to like you?”
” I am planning to take you away from all these, I know how much pain you’re in but….” he step closer ” now I heard you planning to spend a night with Thanatos? Why???”
” I have my reasons ”
” I will not expect it ” he frown ” if anyone is to bed you, I should be the first one to do so ”
” Gill!!!!”
I growl but that only made him hold my hand, I try struggling back but it won’t bulge, why didn’t I notice how tough he is? ” Let go!!!!”
” Not today ”
Within a blink of an eye, he use his leg and shut the door, drag me back and push me to the bed ” maybe now, you will accept me ” crawling backwards, I think of any possible way to escape this, I don’t have guards or maids around.
They are all dead.
” You won’t regret this” he climb the bed, completely naked, I had to watch him take off his clothes, holding my leg, he draw me close and I use that opportunity to hit him straight to his balls, gill got up, his hands covering his lower part while he growl.
I didn’t hesitate to get off the bed but before I could run completely, he hold my leg, resulting in me falling to the floor, he bounce on me, I couldn’t move, I could feel him lift up my dress, closing my eyes I try to calm myself and for the first time in my life, I prayed, prayed to the demons to ki|| him.
I feel my underwear slowly come off and in the next ten minutes, I couldn’t feel any movement, quickly turning around I gasp at gill body, his head far from his body, the huge demon sat there, eating his body.
Fear creep into me but I try my best not to show it, covering my body I sit down and stare at him, while he eat, his tail shakes a little, two of his eyes looking at the meat and the other two at the top look straight at me.
His body all red, huge and have spikes at the shoulder ” thank you ” I force the words out, not being able to speak probably…the demon didn’t respond, he just tilt his head to left and kept on eating ” what is your name?”
Why am I trying to befriend a demon?
” Clifor ” he responded and I gasp out of surprise, he talks, he can talk?
” Why are you following me?” I got no more response, he finished eating gill and move closer, those eyes register with hunger, it’s obvious, he wants to eat me but they is something. They must be something protecting me. That’s the only reasonable explanation.
He get hold of my hair once more, my body tremble with fear but before I could know what happening, he vanish out of sight
” you ki||ed someone again?” I turn around and notice Thanatos leaning on the door ” that too your future husband”
” I didn’t ki|| him ”
” What surprised me is the fact that you’re not in tears ” he furrow his brows ” why aren’t you crying?”
” Why?” Standing to my feet, I look at him ” why should I cry? Do you need your women fragile?”
” Indeed ” he step close ” I can’t have you acting tough around me ” he smiles and then shrug ” tho it do look good on you ”
” Why do you smile?” I force words out, I may look strong but I still get chills just remembering how he ate gill up ” it doesn’t look like you want to ”
” That’s where you are mistaken” he once again smile ” I do smile alot, it’s just up to you to recognize what the smile means ”
” What do you want from me?” I asked and he step closer, his eyes watch mine carefully, lean close and sniff my neck, I flinch, move backwards and place my hand on my neck ” what are you doing?”
“I already told you ” he smile ” a night ” watching him leave, I could finally fall down to my feet, my body trembling with fear, no tears but I could hardly breathe.
” Clifor ” turning around I gasp out from shock, the demon came right back ” clifor ” he call out the name for second time, moving close…..am sure that, that’s not his name ” clifor ” I had no idea of what that means so I did what I could think of doing.
Standing up and running out of my room, I hold Thanatos hand and he turn around, his gaze fixed on me, confusion in his eyes…..I look around and notice how the maids and guards kept staring at us
” Take me with you ” I look at him, tighten my hands around his ” please ”
