Chapter 13 – Silent Before The Storm

She thought he felt the same way but no. He was just like another rich heir, climbing his way to the top, collecting fallen souls as he went. She silently made a promise to herself at that; Don’t set up high expectations for Johnny, he would only disappoint her.

There was a home offer acro from their bedroom. Thank goodness, because he didn’t want to be near her right now. He cursed inwardly. The nerves of that woman. Was it that difficult to cooperate with him?

He was seated in a chair looking over some documents he brought with him. He made a mental note to call Doyoung so he could order a desk for him.

His thoughts however only shifted to the woman across the hall. He assumed she was probably sleeping; she had gone to the bedroom only a minute after he entered the office.

Her temper was so much like his. She refused to stand down. She simply fought until she fell. She was wild and fearless, careless, even as well as mysterious. All of this traits he knew could describe him. He knew this was going to be easy and he wished SoMi was one of those bratty Willy type of girls who fell in a at the sight of a handsome face. He could handle that. What couldn’t handle was someone exactly like him, only without the pressure of the underground world on his shoulder. And that was exactly what she was.

He cursed his luck. Seven freaking billion people are living in this planet, four billions of them living in Asia, fifty millions people in Korea, ten million of which live in Seoul, take away the married men, women, elderly and children and he had to be stuck with her.

…..

The intention of the two living under the same roof was to bring them together. Well that wasn’t true at all for the last two weeks, Johnny and SoMi had made no steps in their relationship. Their relationship was still the same, they were strangers to each other.

Johnny is we gone by the blink of day light. He was managing not only business in Suh Corp but also businesses in NCT. The stakes were high, and he couldn’t afford to drown. Everything was straight to business; it we all cold cash, heartless ki||s and easy game.

Overnight, Seoul had become one of the cities in Asia with the highest crime rates. Having both NCT127 and NCTDREAM in one town caused this change. They were United and everyone was vanquished.

SoMi knew something was up. She could sense it in the air. She could feel it rattle her bones. NCT was one. Both counterparts were in this city.

SoMi took a turn into a quiet alley corner before slipping throw the back door of a popular big club here in Seoul. The sky was quiet tonight, too quiet. It was always silent before the storm.

She maneuvered her way around the back areas and into the dance floors. The dim lighting and flickering disco ball coming from the stage caused everything to fall under a dark sheet of coverage. Even in this situation she could feel the eyes of ongoing dancers and clubbers turn their heads in her direction.

SoMi was gorgeous after all, her long ebony hair Cascaded down her shoulders in waves, her face had a minimal make-up and she wasn’t the typical of beauty who lavished in layers upon layers of caked-coated eyeliner and lipstick. She was fully covered, she couldn’t say the same about a lot of women here.

Some danced in barely mini dresses and crop tops while she was more modesty dressed in a pair of black jeans and a simple black tank top. A red leather jacket completed her look along with flat boots that reached her ankles.
