His words echoed round the whole castle when he spoke,
“HOW DARE YOU HURT HER”
<FLASHBACK ON WHAT HAPPENED EARLIER>
Just as he was about to leave the room, he heard a cough from behind him and he turned in surprise to see her already awake.
His reflexes were fast as he sped to her and then touched her forehead. Her body felt weak so he didn’t let her sit up from the bed.
Echo watched how his forehead were creased as he checked her temperature and worry was written all over his face.
Was this really because of her.
She couldn’t help but smile despite in her state. He looked so cute like that.
Leroy caught her smiling at him and then he coughed awkwardly before standing straight.
Gawd! He had never thought or worry of another person like he was doing to her. He shouldn’t let her get to him.
He suddenly remembered about the poison and he turned back to her.
“Do you know who poisoned you?” He asked and Echo gasped.
“Poisoned… I was poisoned” She said and then tried getting up from the bed.
“I’m sure it’s her. She pretended that she was already someone nice whereas she wanted to ki|| me. I’ll ki|| her Ashwear” She said and tried getting up from the bed but she felt a pain in her tummy and she laid down back.
“Who is that. Answer me” He yelled.
“Seraphina. She did……” She muttered but before she could finish her words he already left the room.
How could she let herself be fooled like that. What if she was dead or Leroy hadn’t save her.
Thinking about him made her heart make a beat and then her hand went to her chest as she muttered,
“What was that?”
<FLASHBACK ENDS>
“I….. I… I…” Seraphina fell on her butts out of fear as his figure hovered above her.
“You wanted to ki|| her just because of some little fantasy that you have in your mind. I can never be yours so you need to get that into your skull” He said glaring at her.
Seraphina didn’t know when she started crying. Her plans failed. And now Leroy also h@ťěs her.
It’s all because of one person. That Ɓîtçh named Echo.
“I’m sorry. I won’t do it again. I was just jealous” She said and crawled to his feet wrapping her hands around it.
“You could have ki||ed her. That was more than jealousy. I don’t want to ever see you near her else….”
“I’ll ki|| you” He said his last words and vanished but they were still hanging in the air.
Seraphina ruffled her hair frustrated. Leroy had intentions of ki||ing her. No it can’t be…
Was he in love with her….
She chuckled and shook her head. It couldn’t be. He can’t love anyone if not her.
She has to think of another plan immediately.
<LEROY’S ROOM>
Since she couldn’t get out of the bed, she was just taking her time to look around the room but her mind was lingering on what Leroy would do to Seraphina.
She couldn’t believe that she fell into Seraphina’s trap so easily.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Leroy appeared back in the room and she looked up at him but he turned his back on her.
“If you feel better now you should leave my room.” He said coldly.
What was the attitude now? After showing her concern he was back to being cold.
“Why?” She found herself asking.
“Because I h@ťě that your scent is around my room” He said bluntly and Echo didn’t knew if she could take it as an offence or a compliment.
But he was really chasing her out. Why was he trying to cover every good thing he did for her with a bad one.
At least she appreciates the little worry he had for her. It was worth it.
The pain in her stomach reduced so it didn’t hurt much again. She came down from his bed and then muttered a sorry before leaving.
Her heart was heavy as she walked down to her room. She was really having a good time in his room and around him.
Despite the fact that he was distant around her, she wanted to be close to him , smile with him.
She wasn’t even scared that he had a scar on his face. To her it made him look more handsome.
He wasn’t like every other person. He was different. But he keeps pushing her away.
Echo shook her head. She can’t be thinking about him.
“Meow” A cat made a sound beneath her and she bent down to pick up the cat in her hands.
“Oh cutie, you might have missed me. How could Soraya leave you all to yourself” She said smiling and then rubbing its body.
She remembered something and then she looked at the cat and wondered.
“Where are the bruises… Huh-“
“Oh maybe Soraya took care of it” she stopped thinking and then carried the cat to her room.
**SPARKLE LAKES**
Sebastian went back to the dining room with so much confidence, the moment he entered everyone sitting looked up.
Even Glenda who was faking a smile cause of what Alan mother was telling her was surprised to see him.
What made him change his mind?
He greeted everyone at the dining room before going to seat at an available chair beside Glenda.
“Who are you young lad” Alan father asked.
“My name is Sebastian an orphan and Glenda’s best friend” He said and smiled.
“Wow never knew that the princess has a best friend and to think it’s an orphan but isn’t it improper that’s it’s a male” He asked.
“There’s nothing improper about that sir. We’ve known each other right from childhood and we understand each other perfectly well” Sebastian replied with a smile.
Glenda tapped him from under the table. Like she didn’t even understand what was going on with him.
“It’s really good that she has a childhood friend that means you must be in good terms with Alan” It was Alan’s mother who talked.
When she said that both Sebastian and Alan maintained eye contact.
Alan felt like ki||ing him with his bare hands. What was he up to?
“I don’t…”
“Dad there’s no need discussing with a poor orphan like him. We need to focus on why we’re here” Alan cut him off and Sebastian clenched his fist.
How dare him call him a poor orphan?
“So Glenda how have your relationship with Alan being going. I trust my son he’s treats his woman well ” Alan mother said and Alan smiled when she said that.
“Wow I didn’t know Alan was a true gentleman, Glenda never told me” Sebastian said sarcastically and Alan glared at him.
“Umm it’s…” Glenda stopped what she wanted to say when a noise was heard from outside then a girl barged into the room.
The guards were trying to stop her but she ran past them trying to go close to Alan who looked shocked.
They finally got hold of her and tried taking her out.
“Alan why are you doing all these to me. After all we shared. You’re leaving me for another woman. You’re wicked and heartless. I am carrying your child. You need to come to me. I won’t let you marry….” And the guards succeeded in taking her away.
Everywhere turned silent after that but Sebastian was happy about the little commotion that just happened.
Alan impregnated another woman so it can’t be possible for him to get married to Glenda.
“What was the meaning of that Alan. I warned you to stay away from that lady but you didn’t listen. How could you make her pregnant” His mother yelled at him.
“She’s lying Mum. It wasn’t me. I cut off ties with her a long time ago” He denied.
“We have to know if she’s lying or not but if she isn’t then this marriage cannot hold”

Leroy wasn’t at rest with himself after saying those words to her, her sad expression as she left his room was still in his head.
But he knew the reason why he didn’t let her stay in his room. He didn’t want to be so close to her or get so attached.
Then he vanished and went to her room to see how she was doing.
When he appeared in her room Echo was surprised to see him. Then he started walking close till he stopped in front of her.
“I don’t why I am feeling this weird but I don’t think I can hold this any more” Leroy said and before Echo could process his words.
He pulled her closer by the waist swiftly and then he slammed his lips on hers.
