Sophia stayed with Alaric in the hospital as Lucas came in bowing deeply.
“What’s wrong Lucas” asked Alaric who knew something was wrong as Lucas was silent.
“Every trace of Madeline has been wiped off and her body was said to be found floating at the wings sea where commoners go to sightsee”
“She was really among them then, and she seemed to have been ki||ed because she became a suspect so they had to eliminate her. She was a walking evidence” Alaric faced Sophia while saying this and her eyes seemed to narrow as she remembered something.
Closing her eyes Sophia concentrated, her head started to ache as sweat dropped down her forehead. She could remember now, the words they said on the day of the accident.
Now it sounded very clear, like something she just heard yesterday. But why, why didn’t she remember for ten years of her Life. Why did it have to be now.
The voices felt like they were underwater, but they were clear. The blood scene flashed before her eyes as she gasped.
“Sophia” Alaric called out the woman who fell to her knees sweating with her eyes closed.
“Madam” Lucas also called out but their voices didn’t reach the woman who was reliving the death of her parents again. The death she always blamed on herself, now she could finally see the real reason.
She watched as her father and mother talked, she was busy playing with her little teddy but now her ears heard clearly what they said. She heard them so loud she couldn’t mistake their words.
“Luciana we can’t go on the mission, call her back right away and tell her we are out. How could a woman try to ki|| her own son, and she wants to do it in a way were she would never be suspected. We would ki|| an innocent child Luciana. How would you feel if our girl was ki||ed that way” Sophia watched her father tell at her mother but the woman who was being yelled at looked forward with a passive look on her face.
“If we complete this mission she would pull the police off our track completely. I have been hiding since due to the last drug mission she asked of us. I am tired of hiding”
“What if it was all a trap for her to control us. What if we fell into her trap Luciana” Sophia’s father whose name was Mike tried to beg his wife.
“She used our child as a bait, well we are already too deep into this trap of hers. Now we better tread carefully before this trap ki||s us” Luciana finally yelled back with tears in her eyes but the two yelling didn’t notice their car has been wired.
It seems…she already knew they would reject the work. The only way to keep their mouths shut from exposing her…was by ending them all.
Sophia’s eyes widened as she heard the familiar bomb beep.
“Mom, dad” she cried out quickly reaching out to grab them but they were too deep into their argument. They couldn’t hear her, neither could her hand touch
“Wait, no” the car exploded and Sophia gasped as her eyes was wide open, she watched it all. The car tumbling in the air, the shattering glass. Every single thing was embedded into her mind.
Luciana reached out to hug her daughter tight to protect her from the hit and a tear slid down sophia’s eyes as she saw her mother so close. She wanted to tell her everything that had happened, his she met Alaric, she wanted to tell her grandfather was dead and she is pregnant. But she could say nothing but watch her mother.
Soon the tumbling stopped and she saw her mother who was holding her tight didn’t move. Sophia didn’t need to hear her heartbeat to know she was gone.
She looked at her father who had a huge shard of glass in his neck, obviously gone also. Soon she heard the familiar footsteps walk towards the car. The person bent down and used a tourch light to look into the car.
“Ah, they died so pitifully. If they had just followed my orders without refusing at all. All this won’t happen”
The voice get so familiar but Sophia couldn’t remember whose voice it was neither could she see the woman’s face.
After some seconds the tourch turned to hit sophia’s eyes and her pupils shrank and she jumped up from the hospital bed.
“Are you alright?” Alaric asked while wiping off her sweat.
“Yes let’s go home already”
“What happened?”
“I had a little flashback that’s all”
“Alright” Alaric picked her up not letting her little slender legs touch the floor.
Walking out slowly with his wife in his arms and his face expressionless with his gold glasses, he got into his car in the underground parking lot and zoomed off.

In a place down town the secretary with black wavy hair rushed towards her madam who was sitting with her eyes closed while she hummed a tune no one knew.
“She said she is coming back in the next nine months madam” the secretary reported with her head bowed.
“What do you mean?”
“She said she had something to sort out before she comes back to America and if it doesn’t work out she’d rather not come. So you’d better not try to ruin it for her just so she could come faster. According to her words madam”
“Hm, she’s gotten smarter over the years. Ariana…my favourite girl. Let her do as she pleases but make sure she is here immediately the right months are up unless she wants everything she worked so hard for to…vanish”
“Yes madam”
The lady brought out a cigarette as the secretary moved to light it up. Her eyes glowed with controlled anger as her beautiful red nails tapped on the chair seat.
“Rest for a while my dears, we’ll see in the next eight months. I need to pull the Veronica girl say, she is a stupid bomb at the side of Sophia”
“It was found out that she despised Sophia, you could use her easily madam”
“Ah, an inside man. How… wonderful”
